xñ >> breaking news in menlo park where 2 people walking their dog killed tonight after car crashed right into them. police say the driver was under the influence. >> good evening. all happened just before 7 on chalk street in menlo park. amma is on the scene with the latest. >> the man and woman have not been identified. we do know they are in their 50's. just out for a walk with their dog

when hit and killed by a woman police say was driving drunk. now we are quite a distance away from the 16 but you can take a better look at the aftermath of what happened from this video we shot earlier. now police got the call just before 7:00 o'clock when they arrived at the found the man and woman dead. the dog injured and suspect vehicle crashed in a tree. they determined the man and woman had been walking eastbound on chalk when struck from behind and killed. the driver kept going. >> the driver then went over the center divide of the street and struck another car with 4 people in it. and then crashed in a tree what you see here on chalk and constitution. >>reporter: 4 people in the car were unhurt. suspect was taken to stanford with minor injuries where she went underwent so bright test. now police have given up the name of the suspect. they say 54-year-old marriage reof

sheriff's deputy shot and killed 13-year-old lopez on monday. today an autopsy report shows lopez was shot 7 times. 2 of the wounds were fatal. 24 year veteran training another deputy when they saw lopez when air assault rifle looked like ak 47. >> i think a little kid couldn't be holding a gun like that when real one. >>reporter: air assault rifle have an orange tip but andy broke off. police compared it with a real ak 47 to show the similarity. this neighbor who didn't want to be identified said other boys in the neighborhood did not have orange tip on the guns either. >> i told him don't get shot make sure you have some red or orange on your gun. it look too real. >>reporter: tonight one community leader addressing what she calls a rift between the latino community and law enforcement. >> base on reality or base on prejudice or perception doesn't
