his pocket. jonathan mcember reports. --reporter pkg-as follows-- it's a constant flow, customers come and customers go, its like that all day long at the new hartford road shell gas station. the employees say the constant stream of traffic never brings anything out of the ordinary. that's until, saturday morning. this is surveillance video given to us by the gas station owner. owensboro resident josh hamilton is seen making a quick stop to buy snacks. as hamilton walks over to the cashier jassie singh, to pay, hamilton says an e-cigarette battery in his pocket explodes. "he was giving me money. he put his hand in his pocket and suddenly there was a blast in his pocket. there was fire. big fire and he was burning." "i was shocked! i was like what was that? you have a bomb in your pocket? i was like that! you carry your bomb in your pocket? i was totally shocked and just like this my hands were on my head." hamilton runs outside the door, past employee manoj kumar, where he

says he wasn't sure what was going on when he saw hamilton on fire. he's seen in the video coming out from behind the counter where he sprays hamilton with a fire extinguisher. "i was like?what is going on man? i don't know." hamilton is then seen going into the restroom to check out the burns just before another customer drove him to the hospital. hamilton tells me he has second degree burns on his leg and is able to walk. check out what happened in the backyard of one florida home yesterday. a plane had to make an emergency landing there before it could reach the airport. there are no reports of juries. but the single-engine plane's wing was damaged. the incident is still under investigation. ammon bundy... and 15 others charged with conspiracy in connection with that armed takeover of the malheur national wildlife refuge in oregon... plead not guilty in a federal court yesterday. kaitlyn bolduc has more on why this case is

"these people are standing for something righteous for godliness, for our constituion." inside of the federal courtroom - ammon bundy - and the group of 15 others - pleaded not guilty to a federal conspiracy charge in connection to the armed takeover of the malheur national wildlife refuge. us district judge anna brown stressed that they are all innocent until proven guilty - as she read them their rights. but some among the group stood up and told brown they felt they were being treated like convicts - while they remain behind bars. groups of people aged seventy and older.. with differing levels of education.. some who kept mentally active.. and some who did not. researchers found that highly educated people who stayed mentally active in their younger years had lower levels of the proteins linked to alzheimer's disease. this is according to doctor pilleye at cleveland clinic's center for brain health. while pillai did not take part in the study.. he says it shows a connection between cognitive activity and the changes that happen in the brain as a we age. "so what you're doing in your fifties or sixties is impacting your brain health even up to your seventies and eighties and that's the strong result that's coming out of this study." the participants who recorded the lower protein levels regularly took part in reading books or magazines and playing computer games. however... these results only seemed to have a positive effect on those who carried a gene that is linked to alzheimer's disease. in people who did not carry the 'alzheimer's gene' the results

starting this week.. mcdonald's will test out two new low-calorie breakfast bowls in los one contains egg whites, turkey sausage, spinach and kale... and clocks-in at only 250- calories. another has scrambled egg and chorizo sausage with hashbrowns, salsa and pico de gallo and has 460 calories. mcdonald's will also begin using lower- calorie chobani greek yogurt in its parfaits and smoothies. firefighters from new york and florida were in las vegas yesterday.. they were there for intense training...using the city's high roller ferris wheel for
