looks good at the airport with a high of 65 degrees. newyork has rain in the forecast. and chicago nice and sunny at 70. for the bay area, nice and sunny, 72 at fremont. oakland today, 68 degrees. in san francisco for your tuesday, we'll be up to 64. and san rafael, 76 degrees. in livermore, 80. in the extended forecast. we've got more sun on the way for the next couple of days with sunshine and temperatures in the low 80s today. cooling wednesday, and thursday it gets wet. and friday through the weekend is aok. good morning. and eyes on the road. right now we are tracking a few slowdowns out of tracy heading to livermore. pretty typical for this time of the morning. travel times remain in the green. and at the dublin, pleasanton interchange, a 25-minute ride. there's the diamonds and rubies for the tuesday morning commute. at the bay bridge toll plaza, a

few cars lining up in the cash lanes, but other than that looking good. under a 15 minute ride from the maze to downtown san francisco. two people are now facing charges for the ghost ship fire in oakland. the news comes nearly six months after the fire happened. jessica flores is live in dublin where the master tenant arrived last night. >> that's right. the master tenant dirk almena. he's facing 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. one count for each life lost. almena was operator of the warehouse where three dozen people died during an un- permitted dance party. and authorities arrested max harris in los angeles county. he was the second in command.

and the men knowingly created a fire trap by hoarding flammable materials and blocking exits. >> a reasonable person would have known that acting in that way would create such a risk. >> reporter: almena does have a defense attorney and that defense attorney put out a statement saying that his client is being scapegoated. both men could face up to 39 years in prison. almena has a $1.8 million bond. he is expected to be arraigned on thursday. reporting live. i'm jessica flores, kpix 5. people across the u.k. plan to hold a moment of silence today. the suspect was known to british intelligence for ties to extremists. the 30-year-old was also on the radar. and the third attacker has just

been identified as yussef -- >> london's mayor had this to say about his faith and his disgust at the weekend's attack. >> as a proud and patriotic british muslim i say this. you do not commit these disgusting acts in my name. >> more than 130 emams and religious leaders will not offer prayers for suspects. anne makovec has details on the paris accord. >> the santa clara county board of supervisors is voting on a resolution to affirm the county's commitment to combating climate change and asks the other eight bay area counties to adopt similar

this is just north of sfo. if you're heading to the airport, no delays on 101. the san mateo bridge is pretty busy this morning. and looking much better compared to yesterday. in the green, the taillights making their way in the westbound direction. we're tracking a travel time around 15 minutes. let's check on the forecast. >> it's starting off with fog on the shoreline and slick streets heading south to san francisco. fog and the low clouds giveaway to this. the impending sunshine anyway. mount vaca, highest point in solano county. concord is 57. and oakland is 57. and in livermore, temperatures in the low 50s. by this afternoon. we climb into the mid-80s inland. it will become sunny at the shoreline and not warm. temperatures there in the 60s.

it's going to get wet. looking at the rain moving in to the bay area that mostly affects the north bay. 2/10 of an inch of rain around santa rosa. and south of the golden gate, we see the computer models are not painting much by the time friday at noon rolls around. a few hundredths of an inch at san jose and mr. pleasanton and concord. we're expecting things to be nice. mostly sunny and warm and cools off tomorrow. and clouds and showers will develop on thursday in june, yikes. if you're heading out of the bay area on 99 in sacramento. fresno as 95. and all the way down to a frigid 88. laketahoe, 76 degrees. and 69 for yosemite. and the bay area is not looking bad. temperatures dead on cue where we should be. 64 in san francisco.

griego. new developments in the against ship warehouse fire investigation. jessica florence is live with the details. >> reporter: these two arrests come six months after the deadly ghost ship warehouse fire. the master tenant is facing 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. one count for each life lost. almena was arrested in lake county and he was the operator of the warehouse. and that's where the three dozen people died when the fire ripped through the un-permitted dance party. authorities arrested a second man, max harris. he was arrested in los angeles county. and he was the second in command at the ghost ship warehouse. the district attorney says they

lied to police and fire. prosecutors say the men knowingly created a fire trap by hoarding flammable materials and blocking exits. >> the paying guests were faced with a nearly impossible labyrinth of the defendants' making to get out of that building. almena and harris' actions created the high risk of death. >> reporter: almena's defense attorney says he intends to vigorously defend his client. and the district attorney is attempting to scapegoat almena. if convicted, both men could face about 39 years in prison. almena has a little over a $1 million bond and he is expected to be arraigned on thursday. i'm jessica flores, kpix 5. the man convicted of killing sierra lamar will not get the death penalty.

the jury recommended a life sentence for garcia torres. her body was never found. dna was found on his clothes and in his car. >> i would be lying if i didn't say i was disappointed in the verdict. he'll be able to live, sierra won't. he'll be able to breathe, sierra doesn't. he'll be able to eat every day. see his family. >> i feel at peace that he will not be on the streets and harm another child. but the angst will be in our lives forever. nothing will ever take that away. >> reporter: garcia torres is set to be sentenced in september and his attorneys will be back in court next month to talk about a retrial. police are searching for driver who dropped off a 5-year- old girl near the san francisco zoo and left her there.

around 8:30 the girl was abandoned. an ambulance happened to be driving by at the time. the crew picked the child up. a woman and a man were in the front seat and a baby may have been in the backseat. apple garnered a lot of attention making announcements. >> the tech giant has a special guest for day two of the conference. >> sandra osborne is live with the details. >> the second day of the conference and we are expecting none other than former first lady michelle obama to be here today. she'll be speaking inside; however, it's a closed session. so developers only will see the speech. and they are expecting to hear about empowerment and diversity. the tech industry has been criticized in the past for having more men than women. but they are starting to see

if you are heading along the peninsula, 101 looking pretty good. here's the san mateo bridge still under a 20-minute ride hayward to foster city. it was a tough day for everybody who was on the san mateo bridge or the bay bridge. there's nothing nasty here. speeds in the green why 238 out to the maze. metering lights are on at the toll plaza. and the backup extends to the foot of the maze. and we're in the yellow. just under 25 minutes heading to downtown san francisco. 680 starting to see a few more brake lights. twelve minutes from 580 to highway 84. we are just a minute away from sunrise today at 5:47 a.m.

a beautiful tuesday morning. and the sun sets tonight at 8:28 p.m. let's test the sunrise theory. there it is from high atop mount vaca. and a beautiful start with clear skies inland. and we have fog and low clouds to begin this tuesday. and livermore at 51 as we head out to face whatever challenges the today will bring. 47degrees at santa rosa. ours is forecasting the high. and they'll be in the low to mid-80s inland. and the warmest spots around the bay will be about 70 degrees. we dispense with the fog and the clouds. and the low pressure is winding up. and it's going to deliver us some rain. by thursday in the north bay. santa rosa could pick up a few 10ths of an inch. and future cast will set it all out for us.

as we look into the meteorological crystal ball of the future. a stream of moisture heads mostly north of the golden gate bridge. not a huge amount. not like what we saw over the winter by any means. but could we please get a break? and we will. ukiah could pick up 2/3 of an inch of rain. and 7/100ths in san francisco. by the way, this is all thursday, friday. today is going to be nice. mostly sunny and warm today. it will cool off tomorrow. and then clouds and showers develop by thursday. and if you're heading out of san francisco today, looking good. mostly sunny later. and the high will be 65. and rain for new york as seattle has sunshine. the fungus will be drying. chicago, 70 degrees.

and los angeles, 76. it's like the snow melting in denver. concord, 79. oakland, 68 degrees. in the south bay, the numbers are in the mid-70s today. campbell, 78 degrees. morgan hill, 81. san jose, 76. and 75 at redwood city. in the east bay, the numbers will be in the low to mid-80s. 680 corridor in the mid-70s. 78 for petaluma. once the dairy capital of the world. 76 at san rafael. and ukiah, near 90. 86 at clovered dale. and 84 for wednesday sore. the-- wednesday we cool it down. and thursday, the numbers come down and the rain comes down as well. and the good news is by the weekend, the atmosphere will be cleansed. visibilities will be great. and the temperatures will be in the mid-70s. and that's our weather watch.
