[ laughter ] >> it's going to stay dry, we are serious about that. >> we are looking at mostly cloudy skies as we start off the day. there is a slight chance to see a few showers, mainly for the north y. here's a live look with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures running in the upper 40s to low to mid 50s at this hour. concord 54, oakland 56, 49 in livermore, 56 in san francisco. you see all of the green vallejo down to livermore in san jose, that is all cloud cover, not rain. we are checking a few showers up north due to a weak weather system that is going to bring a slight chance of a shower today. we are tracking a few more

weather systems this week. i will see you the strongest of the weather systems for the week, coming up taking you hour by hour on future caste. taking your first look at traffic on this monday morning, you're right doing okay on our bay bridges. a live look at the golden gate bridge where traffic is pretty quiet heading into san francisco. no major snags. a 12 minute ride as you make your way through. elsewhere, babe ridge starting to stack up. looks like traffic is moving okay as far as travel times go with your 12 minute ride into the city. in the san mateo bridge so far so good with no delays between 880 and 101. we are seeing delays through the altamont pass. we will have more on that in my next report. we have no video overnight of a fire near homeless encampment near highway 17. it was reported near main street and lundy.

you can see firefighters on the outskirts of the fire. it took a long time to get to the flames. once they got there, there was so much junk in the area it took them more than five minutes to actually get control of the flames. now they have a big project on their hands as far as figuring out the origin and cause. no word on anybody being injured. a marin county man is accused of offering cash over facebook to girls as young as 13 in exchange for sexual acts. the video showing police arresting thomas renno on thursday. colombian investigators said the fairfax man offered at least five minors roughly $100 for sexual favors. he is suspected of sharing pornographic material. the community of fairfax is in disbelief. >> i saw him about three weeks ago and he was walking down and

i call mike i do look familiar. and i said oh my god i know who you are. it messes with the mind and people around you. >> is charged with aggravated crimes of commercial exploitation, pornography and the use of mass media to propose sexual activities. investigators say thomas renno set up residency in the country, but was a citizen. a priest is under arrest accused of child sex abuse. father david mendoza vela had been working at corpus christi church in fremont. the alleged abuse happened during his previous posting at st. john's catholic church in san lorenzo. he is accused of more than two dozen counts of sex abuse and is in custody at the santa rita jail. sheriff's detectives say while he was working in san lorenzo, he met a 14 to 15 male victim who told him the abuse began in 2016 and last at about 18 months. parishioners in fremont found out about the arrest when church members read a statement

absolutely right. this is an issue the entire country has got to work on. and 2016 florez worked as a surrogate for florida senator bernie sanders. she is not endorsing any candidate, she says the incident should be looked into regardless of who she supports. two suspects on the run in another east bay freeway shooting around midnight on sunday and highway four between franklin canyon road near martinez. a man driving a newer model white toyota corolla was tailgating them and pulled off to the shoulder in front of them. the front seat passenger that fired shots into the windshield. no one was hit, then the suspects took off. the passengers described as a white male, 35 to 40 years old, bald with tattoos on his face and right arm. the driver is described is

between 30 and 35 with short black hair. chp is asking anyone who may have seen anything to give them a call. the search is on for a man who stabbed someone with a sword in san francisco while not wearing a make american great again hat. it happened on fillmore street. the suspect allegedly slashed the victim across his wrist and hand. it's not clear what led up to the altercation, the victim is expected to recover. fans are mourning the death of a rapper and grammy nominee, nipsey hussle. he and two others were shot yesterday in front of nipsey hussle's marathon clothing store in south los angeles. fans swarmed to the area as news spread. he denied his past ties to gangs, but he said an early love of music and strong mother kept him on the right path. >> she was real, big on keeping a tight family and love. that was my home life and outside it was la in the 90s,

i'm at the live news desk and we are looking at the airport in dallas where a lot of flights have been delayed. this is been a nationwide problem with several airlines. southwest and delta, jetblue to name a few of them. i was after a software system, a third-party system called aero data failed. it helps track the weight and balance of a plane. a sickly reboot problem, but it was enough to the late delay flights across the country. the latest is the problem appears to be resolved, flights are getting on their way. no significant delays to report at san jose reports. tragedy at the track days after racing resumed at santa anita. this morning another horse has died. cell phone video capturing the disastrous moments. a horse named arms runner fell while transitioning from the dirt to the turf.

>> when they hit the dirt i saw the gray horse and another horse go down. >> all of a sudden you sawhorses go down. with what's been going on, it's kind of sad to think. you can even focus on the rest of it. it took a while and the kids were really upset seeing what was going on. >> track veterinarians determined arms runner had to be euthanized. the second horse that went down was okay. this is the tracks 23rd death since late december. in san jose the residents of hope village are waking up in hotels this morning, but the situation is temporary. they have been living in tents south of minetta international airport, but the land has been reclaimed. it has been the government sanctioned home to 19 people for six months while the city and homeless advocates for something more permanent. neighbors objected to a site at willow glen and so far nothing else has been found.

this weekend the residents were given hotel vouchers for the neck 28 days. >> there are 4000 people in san jose homeless, 7000 in the county, but he has to care and try to make a difference. >> organizers say one solution may be finding private property owners to host the camp. this morning the main spillway of the orval dam is about to go back online for the first time since it's all part two years ago. the massive spillway has been restored to full functionality. tomorrow they plan to send water down the structure at a rate of 20,000 cubic feet per second. this follows extensive repairs at the dam, the total costs more than $1 billion. the spillway was crumpled during heavy rains in 2017. an emergency spillway showed signs of failing. the trigger had the evacuation of nearly 200,000 people" police have been reconstructed to manage reservoir levels and protect against floods. let's get a check on

with this weak weather system. and we are tracking a few weather systems this week. one of the storms will be a stronger one. i will show you this in just a minute. here is the satellite and radar view. there is the low pressure system praying the week weather system mainly to the north. it is mainly to the north, that is why we have a few showers across the north coast. this ridge of high pressure that gave us a beautiful spring like weather over the weekend will continue to push off to the east. that will in the door for weather systems to come our way. then a return of the wet weather. as we go through the afternoon, again looking at mostly cloudy skies. is we head through this evening we will start to see scattered showers at 6 pm. not all of us. the north they will have the greatest chance, but you can see a few showers possible for the san francisco peninsula. as we go through 9 pm, scattered showers as well from the peninsula, the east bay and south you have the chance going through night. tomorrow starting at 6 am you

you head to the ultima past this morning, west on 580 rent line look for debris in the road. it is slowing traffic, busy out of tracy on the west onto a five. it looks like it is a bumper in the lane. hopefully they will have that cleared in the next couple of minutes, but we have slightly slower speeds as you work your way through there. it gets better once you pass the area, especially as you head for the dublin interchange. we are seeing extra volume already, but the good news is the major delays as far as travel times go. you are in the yellow slightly with a 29 minute drive time from 205-2680. everything else is clean, nice speeds for highway four and 101 looking okay. except for this little snag, north 1010 lawrence expressway, they are clearing an accident out of the right lane. we are not seeing any delays on the north side, looks like things are wrapping up as you
