pennsylvania and maryland. more rain is on the way, with life threatening flood waters still receding after yesterday's storm. and first alert chief meteorologist paul hagan here to make us once again feel so lucky to live in the bay area. >>yeah, well, we have some ups and downs to our temperatures. nothing quite that violent. they're going to be some big thunderstorms through the upper midwest tomorrow as well. so any flights going through chicago be ready for some delays. any flights going through chicago should probably be ready for delays. regardless, let's take a look at the satellite perspective. a little closer to home, we have seen just a few passing clouds overhead over the past several hours. these high clouds way up in the atmosphere, filtering the sunshine but not blocking it. a little bit of fog along the coast did not last long. we most of the day. let's take a r look at what things look like outside right now. as we look out from the top of mount diablo. a little haze on the horizon, but no actual fog just yet. temperatures in the low to mid 60s around the bay. exactly 60 degrees in san francisco, low to mid 70s farther inland. temperatures pretty much across the entire bay area returned to
5:47 pm
what's normal for this time of year. the fog isn't going to be much of a factor for the next couple of nights. let's take a look at the local map and track that fog as we head through the rest of tonight into tomorrow morning. mainly it's going to be right along the coast. there's going to be some of this well after midnight, trying to kind of trickle into the inland valleys of the north bay and maybe sneaking into the delta as well. it's not going to take long for that fog to dissipate, and we are going to be warming up to an even greater extent than we did today. tomorrow's high temperatures running about 2 to 4 degrees above normal, should make it up into the upper 70s and low 80s in the santa clara valley. low 80s for most inland parts of the east bay east of the oakland hills. some of the warmest spots 82 fairfield, 83 degrees around antioch and brentwood, a mix of 60s and 70s around the bay. 66. in san francisco, exactly two degrees above average, 60 exactly for pacific and half moon bay. we don't lose the onshore breeze, so temperatures there do stay cool with temperatures in the north bay. a lot of 70, some of the warmest spots getting up to around 80 degrees. as we look a little farther down the line,

we are going to see some changes with our temperatures on saturday, and that cooler air mass is also going to usher in a chance of showers. future cast. trying to sneak a few showers into the bay area on saturday. this is one of the few forecast models this is bringing even trace amounts of moisture into the bay area, so it's far from a slam dunk that we're going to see showers for the first half of the weekend, but it's a possibility. we'll keep you updated on that as the weekend gets a little bit closer. if it doesn't happen, well then monday's rain. the rain that we had two days ago would be the last measurable rain that we see this season, because the 6 to 10 day outlook significant chance of drier than normal conditions, and the two week outlook from the climate prediction center also drier than normal. and normal is so close to zero at this time of year. already, drier than normal means zero rainfall, and that dry pattern goes along with the warm pattern. it's never too early to look ahead to a holiday weekend, so memorial day weekend does look like it's going to bring above normal temperatures, at least to inland parts of the bay area, and likely bayside as well, but that's farther down the line. we'll just keep you updated.
5:49 pm
let's check the seven day forecast, and we will start at the coast, where temperatures will go up and down a little bit, but generally hovering pretty close to average through the weekend. and then just a little above normal with more sunshine. by monday, tuesday and wednesday, temperatures will warm up a little bit more. we fix the bay side seven day forecast so these temperatures should be accurate this time. temperatures are going to go up now to a greater extent. slightly above average tomorrow and friday. one cool day on saturday and then farther up into the low 70s by monday, tuesday and wednesday of next week. the real warm up is going to be most noticeable farther inland, where temperatures should be around 80 degrees tomorrow and friday. one day cool down on saturday and then next week we're looking at mid to upper 80s for highs monday, tuesday and wednesday and that's likely going to remain the case through the rest of next week and even into the beginning of memorial day weekend. we'll check out the ten day temperature outlook coming up at 6:00. also coming up at 6:00. let's find out from jules. >>yes. thank you so much. all right. coming up at six, we're learning more about a deadly shooting near fisherman's wharf. we have new video showing what happened and a
