discovered by a muni employee during training back in july. according to muni spokes person paul rose, there was suppose to be a fix for the glitch in place by november. until... >> they all do it. >> kron4 showed 10's of thousands of muni riders how to ride muni with nothing more than a hand wave. now a source inside of muni pointed out a new glitch to the clipper gates. it is a glitch that also allows muni riders to ride free. what happens is sometime the fair gates get confused, often because of fair evaders' piggy backing off paying customers. when that happens the gates get stuck open like this gate, and although this gate closes sometimes they don't. these glitches in the system are because the city of san francisco, choose to be different for every other city with similar gates. muni officials allow riders to walk out instead of tapping out. tapping out means using a card to enter and exit, because of this walk out feature in san francisco, it created glitches
