looking great >> the big story in weathers the fog look at the bay bridge you can see there is an advisory for fog to the bay bridge no advisories' in other places but plenty of fog >> we are starting off in fog in a lot of camera shots out there visibility is down a quarter mile in some spots this morning. shot from the golden gate bridge if you're heading down 1 01 from the north bay be prepared to hit some dense packages of fog out there. also dealing with wet weather this morning to scattered showers but it should be dry by the weekend. we are looking at an improvement there and the wet weather today not expected to be persisted as widespread as yesterday your visibility's out there will show you the same quarter miles through fairfield half a mile through napa and san rosa a bit of an improvement in visibility through novato over a mile.

warmer spots tomorrow maybe see left over sprinkle or two mainly in the north bay for the most part we should be dry saturday, sunday and an abundance of sunshine warming it up into the '70s come sunday and monday. >> all about the fog this morning i say hot spots because we don't have any. in terms of big problems are back ups but an advisory here for highway 13 pacific gas visibility reduced 100 ft. or less that could likely mean problems for highway 135 interchange as well. that is one area we are often time fog distance chp will close down that interchange. interstate 80 the camera through albany this is the short freeway 580 and 80 come together you can see just how dense the fog is by golden gate fields that is why a fog advisory has been issued by chp and caltrans for the bay bridge. take a look at the

finally there's some good news. the new east span will open to drivers traveling in both directions by the end of 2013 instead of the earlier plan to make eastbound motorists wait until 2014. it also means a complicated series of maneuvers - and traffic changes - to reconfigure the eastern end of the existing bay bridge in both directions so that a portion of the incline section can be cut away to make way for construction of the eastbound landing of the new bridge. those reconfigurations will bring changes in the alignments of the westbound approach to the existing bridge as well as the eastbound landing, both of which will take a turn to the south. the new eastbound alignment will probably premiere in may or june. the westbound change, which will include a temporary span, is likely to come at the end of 2011. the accelerated timeline comes after bridge officials offered a package of incentives last december to speed fabrication of the bridge's steel deck and tower segments in china. >> an accident on 880 near washington shut down three lanes for a couple of hours this morning look at the wreckage from the crash. 315 this morning a black super ruth slammed into the divider that separates the freeway from an on ramp. it then headed toyota corolla the driver of the subaru was killed the second driver on in the toyota was not hurt there's no cause on the accident yet but everything
