to today so let's get to it out top story will be up in a moment but first a look it weather. >> george: a look from san jose, low clouds and fog that is in the mix this morning along with mist. this afternoon it is a different story the sun will be out in the clouds will part, we will be in the low seventies for north bay and the inland spots. really nice for a whole lot of folks. this evening the clouds will rowland, we have a cold front coming in. let's talk about what we expect here. we will begin with what we see today with the temperatures 52 and some francisco, not much warming it just yet, santa rosa 49 but you have to pick it up a couple of degrees, 52 of fairfield, 56 in antioch. mild start this morning with mild to low 50s, this afternoon we will
warming napa, in the north bay 71 cowell year high. 72 napa, 65 novato, 65 san rafael. san francisco 64 for you, 60 along the coast, san mateo 67, redwood city 73. nice and warm for you. 69 fremont, as we head towards the creek 72 degrees for you, concords similar conditions. also looking for six and nine in san jose as well. that's where the temperatures will be today, we do have a storm headed our way. we talked about it this morning this is the clouds as they track our way we will see the clouds build up tomorrow. as we head into the evening hours wednesday, and through the first half of thursday light showers bay area wide. beyond that
friday looking good, saturday not bad, sunday is tough. a system could come more weight giving us a chance of slight showers, at this point too many variables. we will pull it oputn with a pencil and leave it at that. >> george: we are watching an incident here to see if it would turn into a hot spot. thankfully they clear the lanes before backed things out. there was an accident on the right shoulder and center divider, they fear the vehicle from the center, what we see now is more typical pattern for 680 in the southbound direction. it will likely turn into a hot spot in about one hour, but so far you can see just a brief delay in the southbound direction. it looks as though we dodged a bullet. let's get to a bridge check the bay bridge westbound,
not much buildup or change your, it is uneven state for the west bound bay bridge with metering lights active for an hour now. ride to the san mateo bridge has been an easy one it continues to be problem free, the golden gate bridge ride 1 01 southbound, in from marin county through the fog but no delays. 1 01 through marin also looks good as well as the ride across the golden gate bridge. >> justine: new details on the gas line explosion pg&e has now provided new records as part of the public utility commission investigation. they said it was on preventable even if utilities had kept accurate records of the line. the investigation concluded pg&e is computerized records failed to identify zippered certain types of wild in the pipeline that exploded. in net 110 report they say their record discrepancy did not

pays about $8 an hour and multiplying that by 40 hours a week that's $320. that is barely above what people are making right now for unemployment but these is for those who want to try and get a bit of money in their pocket, with unemployment could be running out soon, or for teenagers looking for high school jobs. this probably will be a long term career for a lot of people but although there is a chance there could be advancement opportunities acoustic with that. they're doing this all across the country adding 7.7% to the work force. they were already going to do this so they are not doing any better than what they currently do, but they are highlighting this is an option for the thousands of people out there. we will try to get reaction from people coming in early to drop off their applications. >> justine: faa suspend another aircraft traffic controller and

screen on sunday near kashmir street that is where three men held cab driver by gunpoint. news of this has won cab driver having bad flashbacks of what happened to him 15 years ago. >> it was one of the scariest things i experienced, i don't wish that on anything. i got back on the horse three days later. >> justine: the suspect's still remain on the loose meantime cabdrivers are forced to carry more cash because of a policy that covers credit card processing fees. it has been in place for one week. another robbery has surveillance picture go in with ted, it happens. just after 9:00 p.m. a woman was using the atm which was approached by two men with knives. suspects told the cell

(laughter) i've been airport just like yobeen there. just liu america has to live within its means. for long time washington acted like deficit didn't matter. a lot of folks promised a free lunch. i think everybody needs to recall we had a surplus back in 2000. 11 short years ago, but then we cut taxes
for everybody including millionaires and billionaires, fought two wars, created a new and expensive prescription drug program and we didn't pay for any of it. as the saying goes there is no such thing as a free lunch. we were left with a big deficit, as i was coming into office, and then the worst recession since the great depression. that made it worse because of a recession to things happen, the federal government helps those states, localities to prevent teacher layoffs, firefighters and police officers from being laid off. all of that cost money. fe requires more money to provide additional help to people who love lost their jobs, or in danger to losing their homes if your federal government put more money out,
because of the recession it is taking less money in, in tax revenues. that grew the deficit further. >> mark: president barack obama in virginia pushing his plan for next year's federal budget as they grapple with the 14 trillion dollar deficit closing four trillion of that is the budget plan over 10 years. we will be right back.

politicians going in front of the cameras saying if they have a three. planning for $2 a gallon gas there truth is the only real solution to helping families at the pump. in the medium and long term is clean energy. that's how will save money, why read reduce the defendants for foreign oil. developing new technologies, to lessen our reliance on fuel that is imported from other countries. including unstable parts of the world. that is why i think cutting clean energy investments by 70 percent would which has been proposed would be such a mistake. finally, i know this is near and dear to your hearts. we will not reduce the
deficit by cutting education. north bay, by 8:00 p.m. more widespread, by 5:00 p.m. thursday morning bay area wide light shower activity, by 8:00 a.m. dealing with that but it goes away. by 5:00 p.m. your drive home at night, things looking good. so that is how the weather is shaping up over the next 48 hours with the system rolling through. friday not bad, sunday not bad, sunday we might have as light sprinkle but that is still far away and will keep you updated. >> george: which rocked a hot spot on the nimitz freeway southbound 880 in the vicinity of 238 flyover it is recorded at various locations. three car accident. most vehicles on the shoulder but one is blocking

estimated by the budget office which is an independent bipartisan referee in congress that determines these things, they figure that seniors would end up paying twice as much for the health-care as they're currently. at least twice as much. more importantly, it would get worse over time. health-care inflation goes up a lot faster than regular inflation. your health care costs keep going up, up, the venture doesn't. each year, more, more cost of a pocket. i think that is the wrong way to go. that would change medicare as we know it. and i'm not going to set (no audio) for that. (cheering & applause) having said that, we're
going to have to reform medicare, and their entire health-care system in order to improve quality for the amount of money we spend because we spend much more money in this country on health care than any other industrialized country and their outcomes and not better. that is what we started doing with health care reform last year. police said was let's not just of these additional costs on seniors, it is not hard to save the government money if you're saying here, you pay for it. that's not a solution the question is how we actually make health care costs lower overall? that means that we work with providers, to say how can you do a better job of providing care to the chronically ill? 15-20 percent of the patients account for 80 percent of the costs. because they have
chronic illnesses can read and semis providers to do a better job? monitoring those illnesses, preventing them. treating those illnesses in a comprehensive way, so the overall costs go down? can we stop with the five-six tests? all of which the cost money and just give you one test and have the results e- mail it to everyone you need to deal with. that can save us money. their whole host of steps that we can take that could make a big difference and reducing costs overall. keep the mind even if an automatic fare. >> justine: here listening to president obama speaking to a group of college students at virginia community college he was discussing his vision for bringing down the deficit and talking about medicare and medicaid. president

let's start with san jose we still have a big, big backup very slow traffic on 101 this slow traffic last all the way from the ballet up to the expressway an accident in the off ramp with one vehicle overturned is part of the reason for this slow traffic and for this backup from the parkway 87 onto 101 northbound take a look at the maps, solid red traffic which means speeds below 25 begins all the way back before the 280-680 interchange. a lot of this traffic tries to get on to 101 northbound. even highly-280 is pretty badly back that.ed up. highway-101 in shut down about directions because of a checked fire on

this is our only hot spot no delays in san francisco anymore. 19th avenue is in the clearing stages. so a bridge check. the bay bridge toll plaza the meter lights are cycled off, a modest back up and some of those cash lanes. san mateo bridge looks good no problems across the span. the commute is over is to make your way out of hayward and foster city. golden gate bridge saw a van with fog but no accidents to tell you about. >> justine: all lanes northbound of 19th avenue in san francisco are now open after being shut down for 90 minutes because of this car accident. three people in two different cars collided with each other around 7:30 a.m. it caused the camry to roll over. all three people were taken to hospital with non life-
threatening injuries. the cause is under investigation this morning. caltrans officials may have found $3.5 million they needed to avoid service cuts. to get us more news faster we turn to jackie who joins us with details. >> reporter: to i'm at a word park station in san mateo, they may have good news coming from tel train. they found $3.5 million that may save some service cuts. originally there were going to cut 10 trains and closing three stations. eliminating more stations on the weekends, apparently if they defer some maintenance and dip into the capital fund of the 2012 budget, it will be able to come up with that $3.5 million. not all good news, they would still will probably have to
raise their right to 255 each way, also charged $1 for parking at the train stations but it has been a roller coaster ride for riders. it was even worse than the last projected deficit they talked about, now they are getting better but it is still a roller-coaster ride. officials say they will have to go to a meeting thursday to present it to the whole board. from there we don't know where it's going but maybe it is some good news for riders. >> justine: we do have to take a quick break, before we leave you let's look at mt. tam, a beautiful shot, lots of clouds and fog is still out there. we will be right back.
dog park in san jose is closed because of possible pet poisoning. a dog became ill and died after visiting butchers' park. >> if i had to get him to the bat real soon. i picked him up he was too weak to walk, i went to the car. i called my husband and then drove to the bat. i quickly carried him to the staff, i called them saying he was failing sec. they immediately started emergency resuscitation on him. they did the best they could. unfortunately was too late. the vet said that he was gone before he even came in. it's malicious, just awful. if somebody has issues with living near the dog park are dogs in general bring it up with the
