>>pam: 3 dead after a late night shooting on san jose state campus. we find out what happened it and how the school responded to the shooting. >>live, from the bay area's news station, this is kron4 news at 4:00. with a developing story. >>pam: 3 people dead after a shooting at san jose state university in what is being called a murder-suicide. it happened here at the parking garage on 10th street last night. it's located at east san fernandez street. we now the university is holding a news conference to give us the latest information. rob is standing by. >>rob: were out here on the

quad at campus at san jose state university while were waiting at the university official to shed light on what occurred here. she spoke earlier today and told us they're investigating this as an apparent murder- suicide. were hoping they will be out here in a little while and give us some more information. particularly the identities of the three victims. we know this much, this occurred at the northeast section corner of campus about 8:30 p.m. last night. the parking crashes between santa clara and san fernand go. neighbors said they heard as many as 10 shots rang out. paramedics later said they found three victims. two victims in a car and the third person elsewhere in the parking grosz. that person was transported to a hospital and later died. we're not

sure of the people are students, were not sure the genders. there was a text message alert send across campus. they announced it over the p a system what was going on they're treating this as an isolated incident, and no time or any other students in danger. about 1030 they 03 open the parking grosz. were waiting for a live update here on campus from the university spokesperson. when that happens will get back out here. san jose state university, kron 4 news. >>pam: just hours ago the san francisco public defender released another video that he says shows misconduct by police officers. in the past few months before videos have led to the dismissal of dozens of drug and robbery cases, all due to allegations of improper searches and misconduct by san francisco police. grants

joins us live with details on the latest video. >>grant: according to the public defender's office, this routine is becoming all too common. you mention the four videos, in a press conference they showed to videos which makes a total of five videos in the past three months that the public defender's office shows of alleged police misconduct. public defender jeff has uncovered what he calls more troubling surveillance video showing san francisco police misconduct. this video is from a drug arrest at san francisco jefferson hotel in december 2010. he said one of the alleged victims of fernandez santana is seen here in the lobby of the hotel. officers say they saw a crack cocaine in his hand, he claims the video shows his hands were in his pockets. police said there were given permission to search our room but he said video of santana shaking his head no disputes that. all

police were searching his residence, he said a friend of santana's walks by and officers proceed to tackle and choke him. officers let the man go after surging him. the police report describes the incident as a brief detention. after he was released from jail, he said santana noted some electronics and a block dufflebag or missing from his home. he accused will tell the employees and filed a police report but he said this figure shows that officer of leaving santana's all but the black duffel bag. his attorney said the bank was never booked into evidence or mentioned in the police report and that bag is still missing. it's also important to note that those drug charges against santana were thrown out. a judge threw them out because an officer who was subpoenaed to testify never showed up. live in san francisco, grant

vallejo. behind me you see the emergency service command center set up. neighbors described what they heard. >> bom, bom, bom and that was set. >>haazig: multiple gunshots fired before 11:00 p.m. tuesday night. when investigators arrived they found one man dead in the driver's seat of this white ford taurus. a half-hour later solano county deputies found another deceased shooting victim outside of a home our short distance away lying in the driveway. his body covered by this blue tarp was forensic specialists one of the crime scene. a woman who heard the shooting said this is unusual for this neighborhood. >> to my daughter's been living here for 10 years and said she never heard anything like it. >>haazig: the share department said the motive for this double homicide is

still under investigation. in vallejo, kron 4 news. >> (cheering & applause) >>pam: educators and students continued their week-long rally declaring a state of an emergency. this was the scene in union city this morning with students from james high-school joining in. on june 30th at the state schools are expected to lose $4 billion in funding if tax extensions are not passed. last night, the mount diablo school board voted unanimously to lay off teachers a total of 100 and and 11 teachers will receive pink slips. the layoffs won't go into effect between 2011 and 2012. this is to close the deficit of nearly $12 million over the next year. that could increase or decrease depending on what they're not the governor makes more cuts in education this month. san francisco school

board approved more than 100 cuts last night. they include 139 certified employees such as teachers, nurses and counselors. 13 certified administrators like principles. 120 paraprofessionals and 34 civil service employees like secretaries and nutrition experts. tuition hikes may be on the way. tuition could be raised as much as 32 percent or $1,600 a year. the jump would mean tuition would double in last three years. tuition and fees would cost about $7,400 a year. the head of the university systems that the hike would be unavoidable if tax extensions are not approved. >> i just want to get done as soon as possible, just cutting back in may during one thing. >> it tuition goes up it's not just that we have to pay

answers on wall street as compromises. the oil down is good for you and me. a little extra money to spend on the economy. it was that on the stock market today. the dollar is getting strong, who would have thought it? we have massive deficits, big spending, a printing of money. we see that there companies raising interest rates. i would never think the dollar would start looking today or last week as it does. >>catherine: the fact that the demand for gas is down, the price might start going down. i'm happy about it. >>rob: basically across the board, not only the dollar commodity is down we all saw plenty of gasoline. other than that its this news on wall street.
