try to show what i'm talking about in terms of the fog. we have a half mile visibility in navato, the are contending with hazardous driving conditions. everywhere south of the golden gate bridge is looking pretty good, sfo reports titmouse of visibility, titmouse for those in redwood city, and 10 mi. along the coast. not too bad and same goes for the temperatures. take a look at napa, 39 degrees there, 29 for those in fairfield. everywhere south of the golden gate bridge we see a lot of forties and even some fifties lingering for places like my view,-- places like mel of view. into the afternoon we will see widespread temperatures around the bay area. i did not link will make it into the '60s. copper--low
fifties in the out this afternoon, 56 degrees expected in livermore and we have about 1 degrees cooler than that for those in santa rosa. we have a very chilly 51 agreed expected in richmond this afternoon. as we turn our attention to satellite and radar we have tried to clear conditions over the bay area expected for later on. we will see a lot of cloud coverage pushing away. we will be monitoring this drop the morning as he take a look that your new year's eve forecast, we will see mostly cloudy conditions the lows will be in the 40's, as for new year's day we will see a little bit more sunshine with a high near 60 degrees. now advancing to your seven day around the forecast, temperatures for the rest the week are mostly in the upper 50s and 60s. we have mostly cloudy conditions and a little bit more sunshine as we ring in 2012. here in the traffic center we have no hot spots to tell you about, i mentioned a fatal accident in june. that

>>justine: as we move on to what is happening in thailand, take a look at the strong storms as it hit a short of thailand early this morning. giant waves continue on a third day of six southern provinces along the gulf of thailand. the wind and rain has left behind trails of destruction. the big waves are as high as 5 m. there are believed to have caused monsoon search phenomenon that began on sunday. houses and structures along the shoreline have been damaged. this has forced thousands of people to evacuate. and flooding in other parts of thailand is so bad is affecting a neighboring countries livelihood. more than 1000 cars were damaged when the high waters reached a nearby factory run by japanese car maker honda. the company is in the process of restoring its factory to resume operations to ensure the quality of its products, the serial number
