first and one of the worst is here on highway 4 where an accident at love bridge road in pittsburg blocked the left-hand lane. this is right and the heart of the construction area where there are two very narrow lanes. it has backed up the traffic all the way for antioch and westbound direction. it is really jammed up this westbound 4 ride. this is always a slow commute but trust me when i tell you it is gridlock out there. even the on rams are backing up onto city streets in antioch in pittsburg. the accident is unclear to the shoulder but it is still been quite slow at the scene. the other accident is on the nimitz freeway northbound 880 at high street. an injury accident, is backed up. here's a look at traffic on 66. this is the off ramp known as the collector. this is a nimitz freeway northbound and you can see it has slowed the drive the cali back to 66 from high street and fruitvale on the

travel today. th suspect's mot also delayed her suspects mi dat has also delayed her trip indefinitely due to health reasons. meanwhile, federal investigators say their interviews with them have produced new information. at first he reportedly told investigators that he and his brother were headed to new york city to a party after the attack. however, he later revealed that he and his brother decided spontaneously on times square as a target. new york city officials say the pair intended to travel within as he beat a carjacked of their plan fell apart when the vehicle ran low on gas. officials say they also know

>> welcomed back, 7:29 a.m. and we are still tracking a couple of hot spots. these are the result from the accidents that were cleared in antioch. travis though backed up all the way through and get through highway four towards the bypass. it is not completely cleared from the freeway. there was a backup continuing on the 80 in the northbound direction, a live look at the nimitz freeway. this is the northbound side. what we're seeing is not so much residual slowing from the earlier crash but the gradual slowdown as the volume on 880 increases. this is a slow ride but it is more normal now. the accident at high street has been completely cleared from the roadway. let's find out
if there's any son and our future, here is erica. >> the son is loaded, out, it is an overcast start to the morning. we will see this sunshine but it will take a while. conditions very similar to yesterday's however temperatures will be a little warmer. we will continue to see warmer weather into the weekend as starting the next work week. satellite and radar shows clouds moving into the bay area. we'll continue to monitor the sunshine and we will talk after and highs in just a few minutes. >> we are also monitoring the situation out of san leandro where the developing story as this morning. we had an early morning fire that broke out at an elementary school with quite a bit of damage. will tran is on the scene. >> according to the fire apartment, possibly a quarter million dollars worth of damage. new information coming out, i just as talking to the contractors. the first portable was delivered on
tuesday and over the past several days they have delivered more portables with the last one being thursday. this is important because over the past several days they have had to grind material to attach all of these portable together to make one large unit to use as classrooms as well as office space. he is speculating that perhaps the grander caused some sparks to go on and it was simmering and that is possibly what caused this fire. that is not the official determination from the arson investigators, they will come out here later this morning. there was no electrical wire attached so they can't rule that out already. instead of having these new portables that were supposed to be a part of this, it is now a staging area. here are pictures we got overnight. the fire started around midnight and the fire department told me they got here with in five minutes but by then, you could

fire at an elementary school. kron fours will trans is live from the scene with an update. will. >> fire officials believe this one was suspicious because these portables were delivered first on tuesday and the last unit was delivered yesterday afternoon. they were being assembled to the point where they did not attach any and electrical wiring. sure enough, at midnight the portables put together to make one district office caught on fire. here are pictures from the police department. a huge ball of flame coming from this place so high is sensed the treetop behind the tree behind the portables to the top. they believe that possibly there were kids play in the area at the time. they will look into that as far as the arson investigators. fortunately, no one was injured. a few moments ago i talked to the district office. the portables were put in place because they wanted to move
the district office over here while they were debated the building. what is going on there will have to make other regions. here is the district official talking about the fire. >> when i found out my first thought was there is a good thing that it had been put into the buildings. they had just been earlbarely assembled. it did not involve any of the schools. >> the second thought was it is not a week from now when we would have been enin the portables. it is estimated a core of a million dollars worth of damage. the district office says they did not buy them. district all over the bay area are struggling financially. it will not cost of a quarter million dollars. they were rental units that have to work something out with replace. the damage if not all the cost will be covered by the rental business.

following a news story this morning in boston bombing suspect dzhokhar tsarnaev hasn't moved from beth israel that medical center to a prison facility. the u.s. marshals say he was moved to the federal medical center at fort devons. according to the facilities web site is at a facility for people what to require specialized or long-term health. we're also learning that his father has delayed his trip to the united states. he was expected to travel here today to help with the investigation but that is no longer the case. his mother was also supposed to be are riding but she postponed her trip indefinitely. they say the
interviews with him have produced new information. he reportedly confessed that he and his brother decided to target time square next. it was their intention to drive there with the sec that they had carjacked but they ran out of gas. >> the two brothers had at their disposal six and revised as those of devices. one was a pressure cooker bound similar to the two that exploded at the marathon. the other ones were pipe bombs. >> new york city officials say there is no evidence that new york is connected to any of the boston bombings. >> the 11 year-old martinez boy that was injured in the boston bombings was released from the hospital yesterday. and hearns and the day
