berkeley. a police chase involving contra costa county sheriff's deputies. this started just before 4:00 a.m. this morning and el sobrante and ended in berkeley. to get you more news faster we will go to our sole reporter jackie sissel. >> right along westbound 80 near the university exit you concede. i just had a chance to talk to the sheriff's department out here and he stated that about 3:46 a.m. they spotted a dark colored lexus with no license plate and no lights on. they stated that they initiated eight stopped and it ended up over here. they stated that it got on to this on rent and ended up in a ice

plant. the lexus make it through this ice plant but this shares car did not make it. it stalled. a fire started due to the engines were still running. it is almost completely destroyed. the second one has minor damages. both of the deputies were able to get out of their cars without any injuries. unfortunately, the lexus still got away. it continued down westbound 80. there is some damage on the second one. this is a strange story. >> new this morning out of san jose. a fatal accident has rose closed at fox were the avenue and hillsdale. kron4 will tran is live on

the scene. >> the road is closed and i am at the intersection where the accident occurred. side of vehicles were involved in this accident. i just found out that two men were in one car and the one that i'm showing you right here. it crashed into parked cars and a male passenger is still at the scene. he died here. the male driver was rushed to the hospital and i am not sure what his condition is at this time. people estate in the area said they can hear this through their windows. they stated that they will be here for a couple hours and possibly alcohol may have been a factor in this crash. they did see bottles at this location. they're not sure if they belong to the driver or passenger. there have been no names released but

as far as hillsdale is concerned you can see that the investigators have the work cut out. it appears that there were no skid marks before the crash. >> the investigators are still combing the arab and tried to talk to aarea and trieo any witnesses. >> police research in for a suspect in an attempted child kidnapping and pacifica. a man approached it 10 year old girl in the area of beach boulevard and santa rosa ave. the suspect told the victim to come with him. when the girl refused, the man attempted to physically force her, but she post and was able to run away. the suspect is

483 homes. the fire killed two people last week, some evacuees living outside of the barn area of a 22 square mile colorado wildfire has been allowed to return home. other residents have only been allowed back briefly, and exported, to retrieve belongings. the fire near colorado springs is now 65 percent contained. some rain and cooler temperatures really help firefighters over the weekend. >> we have some fog starting this monday morning. here is a live look from van ness ave. we do have a clouds that have been moving in from the coast. it is still affecting the coastline. this afternoon it will be cooler because of the sea breeze. it will be sunny and a little bit breezy. the fog will return overnight. we

costa sheriff's spotted a lexus with no lights and no license plate. they initiated a stop in the lexus took off. apparently, it only lasted 11 minutes but when there were going down was a bomb 80 endow said university they made a left turn into an ice plant. the lexus was able to go through the ice plant and get back on was down 80 but the contra costa police deputies were not able to. they both got stuck. at some point there is as for running and a fire started. alternately, one of the cars were engulfed in flames. partially, the second one. you can see that the windows are busted out and the interior is barred. all the deputies were able to get out of the park without any injuries. a little bit of embarrassment goes along the way. the people in the lexus

just heard loud noises and that they woke up and then it was too late. they stated that they tried to help the passenger but it was too late. the driver was taken to the hospital the they do not know his condition. as far as this scene is concerned investigators are still taking measurements. it looks like that will be here for at least another couple of hours because they continue to shutdown as they continue to take measurements and try to talk to any possible witnesses as to what happened in this case. i do believe that alcohol played a role in the crash and that they found beer cans next to the collision barry a. >> wait till of jury
