police department hoping someone saw or knows something that helps solve this crime that happened last night that left one person dead and two others in a local hospital. here is video from yesterday. according to vallejo police department, around 6:00 they received a call of multiple shots being fired into a residence on the 100 block of brisbane. when officers arrived at the scene, the discovered multiple people had been shot. a man and a woman or both transported to local hospital for emergency surgery. their condition at the moment is on now. the third person unfortunately was pronounced dead at the scene, also a woman. detectives will only say they believe a vehicle may have been involved in this case. they are not saying

>> trial resumes this morning and the joseph ygnacnaso murder trial in marin county. during opening statements yesterday, prosecutors say naso killed 04 prostitutes in northern california between 1977 and 1994. they say there's enough evidence to prove naso is about a serial rapist and serial killer. the 79 year-old is representing himself and his trial and is called the state's evidence circumstantial. the evidence includes the dna of one victim, matching naso's profile found out of their penny house which was wrapped around the neck of one of the victims. prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

san francisco is affecbacked up saw le here is a look at the accident scene affecting the northbound ride on 101 as well. if you need to get as of all this morning use the 280 extension out of san francisco to get on 21 01. do not get on 1 01, do not even get on to the sky way over on first or fourth street. completely avoid that if possible. the northbound ride is backed up to the candlestick causeway as well. no indication of how soon this accident will clear. here's a look at the impact on the bay bridge and the westbound ride. the metering lights have been slowed, this is a rough

astronaut candidates is making history. of the eight chosen, have for women, including one from the bay area. according to nasa, it is the highest percentage of female astronaut candidates ever selected for a class. the group was picked out of more than 6000 applicants. nasa says the new candidates will help lead the first human mission to an asteroid and then to mars. they will report for duty in august at nasa's johnson space center in houston. one of those astronauts candidates is originally from the north bay. 35 year-old nicole man is a major in the u.s. marine corp's and a graduate of stanford university. she currently serves as a naval station in maryland but says in a grove is her home town. man is the first female fighter pilot to become an astronaut in nearly two decades. --nicole mann.
