upper 30 is along the bay shoreline and we have done even hit the morning lows. the temperatures may drop another 5 degrees. this cold snap is not going anywhere soon and tomorrow it may be even colder as we take a look at satellite and radar we're waking up to clear conditions yesterday's we received snow and more active weather is coming friday and saturday. the possibility for rain and then snow with levels drop in a thousand feet. >> as we take a look at the headlines it will be as sunday and highs will range from upper 40's to low 50's. even colder conditions for tomorrow. we will continue with a chilly morning and i will break down your 7 day around the bay coming up. >> we have team coverage of the chilly temperatures this morning. we are watching how
cold it is out in walnut creek. kron4 jackie sissel is live with more. >> at 6 02 a.m. it is 27 degrees. the temperatures dropped and when i first arrived it was 28 degrees. i have on a pair of gloves, a long john on shirt and a hoodie over my head. i am still cold. it is clear was no wind but it is crisp. i did drive around a little bit this morning and i saw frost on some cars. obviously, it is cold. you are really filling this. you will have the throne your extra layers of this morning. as erica stated

firefighters are on the scene of vote mobile home fire. your pictures of the blaze provided by the san jose fire department. the mobile home is located on the 5400 block of monterey road. the fire broke out from 2:00 a.m. this morning. so far, there are no reports of injuries and no word yet on the calls. >> pleasanton police are searching for a 13 year-old girl who was last seen on sunday. kron4 mike pelton is live a pleasanton police headquarters. >> police stated as she left her home voluntarily and this is considered at risk because she's only 13. here is a picture of her. she goes to pleasanton the middle school and has not been seen since early sunday. her family stated that a neighbor saw her get into a car with three men.
authority say that no one has seen her since she left. she has not been active on social media sites. her family is very upset and her brother has this plea. >> i miss her. i love her. i want her to come back. this is not a game anymore. i am used to waking up seen her. >> pleasanton police are treating this as a missing persons case and they are calling her at risk because she's only 13. the police told me that they have received numerous tips about her whereabouts and they're want to follow-up on those.
she is described as 5 ft. 5 in. tall weighing 130 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. she was last seen wearing a black yo the panga pa and a sweat shirt. >> today is a searching and still there are no signs of this morning of a small plane and the five people on board. the group disappeared in the mountains of central idaho after taking off from san jose. the pilot, dave smith , is experienced. he is also the co-founder of san jose tech company. the plane lost contact with air traffic controller sunday during bad weather. >> also on the plane, smith is the daughter amber, her

>> welcome back.later this morning, officials in connecticut will release and the 911 calls that were made from inside of sandy hook elementary school the day of the shooting that killed 28 students and 6 educators. this is after the state prosecutor dropped the fight to continue withholding the cost. the state's attorney had argued that survivors of last december's newtown, conn. shooting deserved special
protection. >> the house of representatives has passed a first gun legislation since of the sandy hook school shooting. lawmakers passed a 10 year extension of a law that bans plastic guns that are undetectable by security screening devices. >> a protest and visual and honor of and the low pasandy loe 13 year-old who was shot and killed by a sheriff's deputy was caring a replica of assault rifle. supporters of lopez gathered at the old courthouse square in downtown santa rosa. they came together to protest at what to the sheriff's department. >> coming up on the kron4 morning news. asleep at the

looking at the potential of possible breaking records. some spots have not been this cold since 1936. some of us have not experienced this cold weather before. upper 40's, low 50's for richmond. 50s for san francisco and upper 40's for livermore. we will continue to see very frigid morning. the national weather center is on to extend the freeze morninmorning until friday morning as we take a look at what is on tap for tomorrow, perhaps the coldest day, livermore will drop down to 23 degrees. we will drop below freezing in san jose.
mid 30's expected for oakland. a little monterey 41 degrees. as we take a look at temperatures and definitely we're looking at white powder. we did receive 4 to 6 in. and more on the way. the snow levels will drop. we are tracking a system that may bring rain. drier weather by sunday. we're still holding on to very chilly conditions as will start next work week. >> the time the 6:18 a.m.. >> let's take a look at a number of ici locations, to 80 has is right at bunker

to surveillance a video is being released of a possible suspect responsible for taking it to cats from his owner and throwing them in the bay. the incident happened san francisco last week near pier 14. officials say that a woman was caring her two adult cats in a carrier when the suspect grabbed them. most of the cats and died in the incident. the suspect is seeing the video is described as a white man standing about 6 ft. tall. he is facing animal cruelty charges. >> new reports are saying that the engineer of the new york city commuter train that derailed sunday was nodding off into a sleep just before the wreck. that
accident killed four people and injured 63 others. engineer william rockefeller suggested by the time he caught himself dozing off it was too late. the train was traveling nearly three times over the speed limit. >> the un nuclear agency says that a truck that was carrying an extremely dangerous radioactive substances has been stolen. the international atomic energy agency says that the truck had cobalt-60, used in cancer radiation treatments. the truck was stolen money outside of mexico city while taking the material to a waste storage center. mexican authorities are

place. meantime, the unions have once again talk about the possibility of another strike. >> the board took up was a negotiating team that would help them. a mistake was clearly made an issue never been a part of the agreement. >> a lawyer for bart workers say that no strike is planned at the moment so far now, the lawsuit will not affect the train service. >> the time is 6:35 a.m. perry eresidents on treasure isd are not happy this morning after receiving a notice to vacate operate because of toxic cleanups. last night several residents asked
about when they would have to leave their homes. the navy wants to start removing the toxic waste next year. all ultimately, all the homes in the treasure island and the yerba buena islands a development plan will be demolished. although they are cleaning, the treasure island developer authority says that there is no immediate hazard. >> tennis will receive a minimum 90 day notice to vacate. there will be or relocation assistance whether they decide to stay on the island or not. >> governor jerry brown has filed an appeal to president obama in a renewed effort to get federal aid in the wake of the rim of fire. the
