"today is about the families." he also said, that americans must come together to find a solution to the epidemic of gun violence. and try to figure out how to prevent deadly mass shootings. the call for stricter gun laws did not go over well with some in roseburg -who protested... gun ownership is popular there. >> pam: shocking new details about a trio. arrested for the murder of a hiker in marin county. we now know. all three are also connected to the killing of a woman in golden gate park. the body of canadian visitor - 23 -year old audrey carey, was found shot to death in a wooded area not far from bison paddock, in golden gate park saturday.

police believe the murder weapon is the same gun used to kill 67- year old tantric therapist steve carter in fairfax on monday. carter was found shot multiple times, with his dog--- who was also shot--- still leashed to him. police believe the motive in both carey and carter's deaths. is the same. >>: there was evidence recovered connecting both murders. butted to we believe the motive in both crimes was robbery >> pam: 18 -year old lila alligood, 23 year old morrison lampley and 24 -year old sean angold. were inside the car of their alleged second victim. steve carter. police also founding camping gear which belonged to the first victim. the other piece of evidence that linked the murders - a gun found in the stolen car. that gun was traced back to san

francisco's fisherman's wharf where it had been reported stolen out of a car parked in a residential area last week. >> pam: new at 11. shots fired at a man. driving with children in the car. it happened this afternoon in pittsburg. police say, officers were flagged down by a 35 -year old antioch man holding his neck. and telling them he had just been shot. it happened as he was driving into the intersection of diane and el pueblo avenues. the man says, his two children were in the car at the time. they were not hurt. he was taken to hospital. >> pam: a 29-year-old music teacher will spend almost 4- years in state prison... the sentence came today... for molesting three students during piano and guitar lessons in daly city last year prosecutirs say. brian butts from danville, was a guest piano teacher at the music art studio. while the music school's owner was in spain... prosecutors said, butts would touch young students

>> pam: whole foods is recalling a specific kind of cheese from stores nationwide... the food and drug administration found a dangerous form of bacteria in the cheese. that causes listeria infections. whole foods says, it is recalling the papillion organic roquefort cheese after f-d-a officials found evidence of the listeria in an uncut wheel of the cheese listeria symptoms include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. so far... there are no reports of illnesses or infections. whole foods is recalling a specific kind of cheese from stores nationwide after a dangerous form of bacteria that causes listeria infections was found by u.s. food and drug administration officials. >> pam: still ahead at 11.

spirits. stone was stabbed several times in a brawl outside a bar in his hometown of sacramento this week. one witness to the stabbing is still shaken. he says he can't get the image of spencer stone covered in blood, out of his mind. stone was one of three men who twharted that terror attack on a french train back in august. >> pam: a teenage boy in hercules has been arrested for allegedly planning to attack his classmates. possibly because he was being bullied. kron 4's charles clifford was in the east bay. he has that story. >> reporter: on thursday a 15- year-old male student at hercules high school was arrested and taken into custody for allegedly making criminal threats. according to the hercules police department, the arrest came after another student apparently told a school employee that the boy planned to "shoot up the school" on friday. that employee then contacted authorities who identified the student and reached out to his parents. the family then brought

their son to the police department where he was interviewed. during that conversation it was revealed that the boy's motive for planning an attack may have been that he was bullied. the parents also allowed investigators to search their home where police allegedly found evidence that the teenager was indeed planning an attack. the boy was taken into custody shortly thereafter. >>: we got a text this morning that there was a problem. >> reporter: dan romero is hercules' vice mayor. he says that in light of recent violent attacks at schools across the country, even people who live in small towns like hercules need to be on the lookout for problems. he also believes that in this particular case the system worked because other students spoke up. >>: there was a threat. students reached out and we were able to help someone this time. nobody got hurt. >> reporter: he is been called "the most >> reporter: this is 1:00 p.m.
