people are dead this morning after a plane that was headed to san jose crashed into houses in riverside. two others are also injured. it happened yesterday evening just before 5:00. this is new aerial video of the aftermath of the crash just into the kron four news room. officials say the plane struck some homes in riverside, split apart and then burst into flames. also just into the newsroom is this video showing the moment of impact. if you watch the upper right corner of the screen you can see the plane come into view before there is an explosion on the right side of your screen. the aircraft went down shortly after taking off from a nearby municipal airport. people living in riverside rushed to the crash site to help pull people out of the wreckage. itself. this is new video just

into the kron four news room of what the homes at the crash site look like now... one of the people believed to be on the plane is the owner, nouri hijazi. he lives in san jose near japantown with his wife dana. nouri hijazi is in his 80's. investigators say the people on the plane, at least one of whom may be a teenage girl... were in disneyland for a cheerleading event this weekend. we talked to a neighbor in san jose who says she was taking care of the hijazi's cats while they were away and noticed they did not return last night. we will continue to follow this story throughout the morning. breaking news from overnight... police in

mountain view are investigating a stabbing. it happened just after 10:30 last night on phyllis avenue near pamala drive. that is just off el camino real near highway 85. one person was stabbed and taken to the hospital. there is no word on that person's condition this morning. one person has been detained by police. also breaking overnight out of the east bay... a woman in pittsburg is dead after being hit by a car while walking towards another crash. this happened just after 7:00 last night near willow pass and loftus roads. this is video from the scene. police say the first crash involved a driver who lived in the area and when family members started showing up on scene one of them was hit by a third car and killed. the driver that hit the woman is cooperating with police. also breaking overnight... police are investigating another shooting on an east bay freeway. police say

it happened around 7:00 last night on interstate 580 near pleasanton. one man says his car was shot several times in what he says was a road rage incident. kron 4's yoli aceves will have more details in a live report coming up in the next half hour. police are also searching for a gunman in connection with a deadly shooting on highway four in antioch. we first told you about this story yesterday on the kron 4 morning news. police have identified the victim as 28-year-old braun harold. they say he was found inside his car with a gunshot wound on the hillcrest avenue off-ramp on saturday night. he died at the scene. the c-h-p says the gunman drove away before officers could get there. this is one of several shootings on highway-four in the past year. jewish communities in at least 20 cities across the country receive threats of violence and that includes the anti-defamation league in san francisco and the jewish community center in palo alto. will tran is live at that community center in palo alto this morning with the details. will.

the oshman family jewish community center was closed and evacuated after receiving a "threatening phone call," but police have since cleared the scene, saying that nothing was found during their search. more threats are being made against jewish community centers across the country. and yesterday those threats also targeted the anti- defamation league in san francisco. market street near third street was closed --- and several business nearby were evacuated for about two -hours. investigators say the threat came over the phone. the a-d-l says this was just one of 20 threats that were made across the country yesterday. now the a-d-l is calling on law enforcement to come up with a plan to deal with the nationwide threats. they also say that president trump

the morning.with you thanks will. thanks will.check back with you the morning. classes at rancho cotate high school in rohnert park will be back to normal this morning after being evacuated for a bomb threat. the incident happened around six last night and police cleared out the school to investigate. after everybody was evacuated from campus... the sonoma county sheriff bomb squad searched the campus but no explosives were found. parents at an east bay high school are upset this morning after they say their kids' privacy was violated. this comes after a picture was taken of an administrator while he was naked in a

bathroom at a nearby health club. the picture was passed around among students at clayton valley charter high school in concord. they say most people received the picture through social media or text message. and some students were suspended just for having the picture on their phone... even though they didn't take it. they say administrators pressured them into giving up their phones so they could be searched. uncomfortable" students say about 95- percent of the school saw the picture. they are upset that only certain students were suspended... and that athletes and select students avoided being disciplined. it does not appear that any charges have been filed against the student who took the picture.

today marks one week since evacuation orders were put in place because of the major flooding in san jose. this is video from last week and you can see just how bad the flooding was. 36-thousand people had to be evacuated after recent storms caused coyote creek to flood. 500 families are still out of their homes this morning after their neigborhoods were flooded one week ago. but more and more homes are being deemed safe as officials go through and inspect the flooded homes. san jose community services has helped more than one-thousand families since the flood water receded. the city has estimated more than 70-million dollars worth of damage from the flooding. the city of san jose has started the process of applying for state and federal emergency relief money. the silicon valley education foundation is also helping victims. they have raised

940-thousand dollars so far. and take a look at this new video of the oroville dam spillway just into the kron four news room. this is courtesy of the california department of water resources. this was shot yesterday afternoon. engineers in oroville have stopped the water flow form the nearly 800-foot tall dam. this will give crews a better chance to check the earth under the spillway....and see how it's eroding. water is now below flood stage and is expected to stay that way during the clean-up. workers are currently removing debris that's blocking an underground hydro-electric plant from working... they say it will take around seven days to clear all that debris. the eroded concrete spill prompted mass evacuations month. this morning president

trump is blaming former president obama for the leaks coming from the white house. and he says obama is repsonsible for the angry protesters facing republicans at town hall meetings across the country. the president made that claim in an interview with fox news. here is what the president had to say. leaks.. the president did not offer any specific evidence to support his claim. and this morning president trump is offering a glimpse into his budget plans... including a massive boost in defensive spending. president trump's full budget plan will be revealed tonight... but he provided a preview during a speech at the national governor's association. the president is vowing to give defense spending a 54

an east bay teacher says she is receiving death threats. and now she is blaming members of the "alt-right" movement and president trump supporters yvette felarca is a teacher at martin luther king middle school and an organizer with the group called - "by any means necessary". earlier this month... felarca said she supports the protesters who stopped a planned speech at u-c berkeley by conservative writer milo yiannopoulos. since then, her lawyer says felarca has started receiving hate mail. we think that it's last summer, yvette felarca took part in a brawl at a neo-nazi

rally at the state capitol in sacramento. this is video of that brawl. she was placed on administrative for six weeks. she has sinced filed a lawsuit against the berkeley unified school district for lost wages. happening right now... police in san rafael are looking the thieves who made off with an a-t-m. this is video of the "marin airporter" building. the robbery happened around 2:00 yesterday morning. one of the thieves gets out of an s-u-v and ties a cable around the a-t-m. the s-u-v then takes off and yanks the a-t-m right out of the building. police say, the thieves picked up the machine and loaded into the back of the s-u-v. the a-t-m machine was later found in richmond. new this morning... p-g-and-e is changing its billing system, and it could mean an increase in electric bills for customers. the changes go into effect starting march first. p-g-and-e says the changes are meant to modernize the pay system and promote energy conservation. the

increase on your bill could come from a high usage surcharge... which will target people who use excessive amounts of energy. residential customers could see a two-point-one percent increase on their bills. p-g-and-e says even with the rate increase... their customers bills remain below the national average. in national news this morning... a georgia couple is sentenced to prison for their role in terrorizing an african american child's birthday party. police describe jose torres and kayla norton as "white supremacists." police say they were with about a dozen other people driving trucks and flying confederate flags. the group passed the home where a child's birthday party was being held.... and began yelling racial slurs at the party goers. officials say torres then grabbed a shotgun and threatened to kill them... including the children. torres was sentenced to 20 years in prison. norton received a 15-year sentence in prison. both of them broke down in court as they

received their sentences. a four-month old iranian baby with a heart defect who was impacted by president trump's travel ban is making good progress after her life- saving surgery. baby fatemeh and her parents planned to enter the u-s with a travel visa for her surgery... but it was canceled last month after president trump's executive order on immigration. the baby and her parents were granted a waiver and arrived in portland a few days later. fatemeh's doctors say her surgery was more complicated... and her recovery might take some time. president trump is set to sign a new travel order tomorrow... but fatemeh's family is expected to be able to leave the country without a problem. a federal appeals court in san francisco has rejected a lawsuit that sought to require labels on egg cartons indicating the conditions in which the chickens were raised. two animal advocacy groups wanted the cartons to have labels that said either "free-range eggs, cage-free eggs, or eggs from caged hens". the argued

that eggs from caged hens carry a greater risk of salmonella. the f-d-a says those claims were not persuasive. the car that music icon tupac shakur was shot and killed in is up for sale... with an asking price of one point five million dollars. take a look at this 1996 b-m- w 750 i-l. it once belonged to death row records co-founder suge knight. tupac was riding with knight in this car when bullets starting flying back in 19-96. shakur was shot during the drive-by attack in las vegas. the 25-year-old died six- days later. california memorablia dealer moments in time is selling the car. they say the car has a little over 92-thousand miles on it's odometer. still ahead on the kron four morning news... hundreds of employees are coming forward saying they were sexually harassed while

alerts in place hundreds of former employees of one of the largest jewelery companies claim female employees were sexually harassed. the accusations are against sterling jewelers... who owns kay jewelers and jared, the galleria of jewelery. there are hundreds of claims saying women were pressured into sex for promotions and job security. they also say women were routinely paid less than men. sterling jewelers has been in arbitration with hundreds of former employees for nearly a decade. documents in the case were made public sunday. some 69-thousand current and former employees are involved. a spokesman told

police are investigating a second shooting on an east bay freeway in the last three days. the most recent happened yesterday on interstate 5-80 near pleasanton. kron 4's yoli aceves is live at the pleasanton police department with the details. yoli. happening right now... police are investigating another shooting on an east bay freeway. police say it happened around 7:00 last night on interstate 580 near pleasanton. one man says his car was shot several times in what he says was a road rage incident. witnesses say the shooter was a passenger in a silver toyota corolla and it was last seen heading towards oakland.

police are also searching for a gunman in connection with a deadly shooting on highway four in antioch. we first told you about this story yesterday on the kron 4 morning news. police have identified the victim as 28-year-old braun harold. they say he was found inside his car with a gunshot wound on the hillcrest avenue off-ramp on saturday night. he died at the scene. the c-h-p says the gunman drove away before officers could get there. this is one of several shootings on highway-four in the past year. in the east bay. a pair of major hillslides have destabilized a highly used roadway in contra costa county. a water main under the road was also broken during the slides. morgan territory road in clayton closed after last week's storms caused problems on two fronts. first a landslide caused the hill to slide above the road. then a water main broke under the road. that disrupted water for people who live in the area.

some have been without water for days. officials do not know when morgan territory road will reopen. a santa rosa woman is still in shock after learning her care-giver was found dead inside her own home over the weekend. wendy hankins says she would normally see her caregiver and friend jessica carlson during the week. but on friday...hankins did not hear from carlson. the next day...carlson was found dead inside her home. her husband 32-year-old dalton carlson is accused of killing her as well as his own father. "was his hi." jessica carlson leaves behind two teenage daughters. police still have not said

what the motive was in the murders. we are now hearing from the uber driver that was attacked by a passenger in daly city. we first brought this story to you yesterday in the kron four morning news. john mohler was beaten saturday night near a century theatre. he asked the three passengers to leave his car since they requested an "uber pool," which only allows for two people. he was attacked and then the three people ran off. uber has since cancelled the account of the passenger who requested the ride. mohler is now waiting for justice as headaches have left him unable to work since the us by herself. police could not confirm to us whether they have

received the name of the passenger who requested the ride from uber. police are now searching the area for surveillance video. a man accused of killing a california highway patrol officer appeared in court on monday. 26-year-old alberto quiroz has been charged with at least three felony counts. quiroz allegedly led the officer on a high speed chase. that officer died after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a pole. quiroz is still behind bars. he had a outstanding felony warrant in placer county before his arrest. quiroz will be back in court next monday. one person has died and dozens are injured after a bus crash in the mojave desert. the california highway patrol says a charter bus went into oncoming traffic and crashed into two cars driving on highway 58. 26 people were on-board the bus. crews had to cut out one person from one of the crashed cars.

in the east bay. a pair of major hillslides have destabilized a highly used roadway in contra costa county. a water main under the road was also broken during the slides. morgan territory road in clayton closed after last week's storms caused problems on two fronts. first a landslide caused the hill to slide above the road. then a water main broke under the road. that disrupted water for people who live in the area. some have been without water for days. officials do not know when morgan territory road will reopen. one person has died and dozens are injured after a bus

thousands of people are expected to gather on the streets for mardi gras celebrations in new orleans. fat tuesday is the culmination of the city and region's carnival season. some of the biggest parades will take place along the st. charles avenue parade route. at the stroke of midnight, police on horseback will do a ceremonial clearing of revelers on bourbon street to mark the formal end of the mardi gras season before lent begins tomorrow on ash wednesday. those attending a carnival in brazil got to see president trump as a giant puppet. this was part of a parade that had several giant puppets. michael jackson and elvis presley were also featured as puppets. they are made of fiber-glass and are about 16 feet tall.
