(steve) google decided to cancel a planned "town hall meeting" with its employees today. it was supposed to focus on the now viral anti- diversity memo that led to the firing of an engineer. the memo was posted on an internal company board but quickly spread across the internet... with some calling it sexist. according to google...

bosses felt that now is not the right time for the conversation. some employees were named personally online and others are worried about asking candid questions given all the publicity right now. the now-fired engineer says he's already filed a labor complaint and is considering legal action against the company. telegraph avenue in oakland's temescal neighborhood wednesday around noon - when a theif grabbed his laptop and got into a car.witnesses said david was hanged onto the getaway car that dragged him along on rich street.david died from his injuries. friends laid out pictures and decorated the splendor bus david toured in as part of a music collective.sot: pancho morris, friend// " more than it being about more anger and hatred towards people and judging people before we get justice we just need to remember dave for the beautiful person that he was." friends describe david as a sort of musical prophet who sang about social issues. sot: ian petrich, friend//just had a real zest for love and life and nature and passion. yeah just a really beautiful person."they say his voice was powerful and deeply touched all those who listened.(nats: more singing)sot: pancho morris, friend// "i don't know if you've ever seen a singer who can get to you. it will be a while before someone gets to me."oakland police haven't found those responsible for david's murder yet. an investigation is underway

anyone with information can call opd. in berkeley ella sogomonian kron 4 news. ((vicki)) tonight a second arrest has been made after a shooting in redwood city. one of the suspects is a 16- year-old boy... the other is 19-years old. both face attempted murder charges. the victim -- an 18-year-old was shot several times -- and at last check was in critical condtiion. it all happened just before 2:00 a.m. on hoover street -- near highway 101. the shooting reportedly happened during a drug deal. officers say the victim and suspects knew each other and there was no threat to the public. ((steve))a san francisco teen is back home..after spending the night on mount tamalpais 16-year-old sarah jane tang went out hiking wednesday afternoon. she was on the mountain with a friend when they got separated. her cell phone died, and she barely had reception anyway. searchers were out looking for her...but she apparently hid

deported. they're suppose to leave the country and head back to mexico next week. they have four children, and all but one are expected to stay behind. the family says they've received stays on their pending deportation in the past... but not with the trump administration.. the family says outside of coming here illegally, they've never broken the law. in oakland, philippe djegal, kron four news. on thursday, a state appeals court ruled that venture capitalist vinod khosla must reopend the beach access road he closed to martin's beach back in 2009. the surf rider foundation had sued khosla for access to the beach saying he had violated the coastal act by not getting permission to limit access to the beach. thursday afternoon, kron 4 reached out to an attorney who represents vinod khosla for comment but we have so far not received a response. in half moon bay, charles clifford kron 4 news.
