time of night, kron4's stanley roberts tells the stories of people behaving badly, hoping to inspire folks to do the right thing.(justine) but tonight he's taking a different approach, reaching out to people doing the right thing, with a good suggestion to help you from getting ripped off on bart. using the bay area rapid transit aka bart can be sometimes be an interesting experience, nats: ambiance
what i noticed is that most people done have a clue as to whats going on around them while they are there waiting for a train most of them have their heads buried inside their electronic devices, either watching movies or scrolling through their social media accounts nats ambiance as the trains come and go many will look up to see if it's their train, but then its back to staring into the phone or tablet and that gives the bad guys an advantage because; do to some riders lack of attentiveness there has been an huge uptick in snatch and grab robberies ..although i think snatch and grab is redundant it should be called snatch and run because that's what they do. they wait for the doors then as they close they snatch and run with all the thefts of hi tech equipment there a low tech way of keeping your electronics from getting stolen, just give them the finger. no not that finger , this finger and hold your phone just like this so i walked around bart giving impromptu lessons on the simple low tech way to keep their phones safe althought the easiest way to is put your
phone away we all know that is asking too much for some people so i show them the unsafe way see how you are holding your phone? so what going to prevent someone from running and taking it from you, nothing what usually on your phone? personal information what else photos . and the safer way i would feel you on my hand where as like this it's almost like they can just yea yea i can see the difference ok that was quick that was easy this is safer (yes it is safer) it is safer yea while you're riding bart right so remember if you want to keep the bad guys from snagging your phone give them the finger ! in san francisco stanley roberts kron 4 news (jr stone) coming up... arrests could be coming as soon following the investigation into the 20-16 presidential election. the latest details about the case are up ahead.(justine) plus... oakland a's are "disappointed" with the allegations against catcher bruce maxwell. what he was arrested for this weekend....

for this.he was the first major league baseball player to follow the lead of colin kaepernick and other n-f-l playersby kneeling during the national anthem.but now, the headlines are all about his weekend arrest.saturday night, police in scottsdale arizona arrived at his home after a food delivery woman called to report the catcher had pointed a gun at her."what do you think that says about the message he was trying to make? well first i always like to say we don't know anything until he gets his fair shot at his side of the story." scottsdale police say maxwell is being held until his initial court appearance.so do his alleged actions taint the controversial gesture he made multiple times as baseball season wound down?"it does automatically because that's obviously an aggressive behavior that's not suited for the sports arena or any arena." kaepernick has said the kneel is meant to draw attention to racial inequality, and police brutality against minorities. that's why maxwell's arrest has some fans upset."it's a catch-22. you're not practicing peace and prosperity to everybody else. you're being hostile."the a's released a short statement
saying they were disappointed to learn of the allegations, and take them very seriously. the organization is still gathering information from police.but other fans, like this one selling shirts that say 'i stand kneeling' at jack london squarethink the arrest is a completely separate issue.
