( darya ) police in fairfield have arrested this man... he's accused of buglarizing five businesses in the city. his name is john scharff in each crime - police say he used a pellet gun to shoot out a window of the business. detectives identified scharrf... using surveillance video from each

of the businesses. police are now trying to determine if scharrf is connected to similar burglaries in west scaramento. ( james ) new this morning... a san francisco police officer was allegedly assaulted during a pursuit in the tenderloin. it happened wednesday night on seventh and market streets... police say they saw a wanted man in that neighborhood and began to chase him. during the pursuit... dante oliver allegedly knocked an officer to the ground... injuring her. oliver was arrested on suspicion of multiple offenses... including aggravated assault on an officer. the officer was taken to the hospital where she was treated and later released. a young san jose mother was gunned down.. and police are searching for her killer. kron 4 sat down with the father of elizabeth garcia's children. san jose police say the garcia was being chased by a unknown driver while she was driving in west san jose. she then crashed into a tree. that is when the gunman walked up to the crash site and opened fire. garcia was taken to the hospital where she died.

murderer at san quentin state prison was turned into a sex slave and is now being rewarded because of it. a jury is giving william cordoba 65-thousand dollars after he sued vocational instructor silvia pulido. cordoba says pulido pressured him into trading sex acts after promising him a lawyer to help him get out of prison. cordoba says the abuse began in 2010 when he became her clerk. and when he tried to end the agreement... pulido accused him of disciplinary violations that put him in solitary confinement for nine months.
