they took off... and police chased after them. that chase ended in a crash on redwood road near broadway. police searched the neighborhood for two hours... but they didn't find the man and the woman they were looking for. investigators believe that both robberies were related to marijuana. ( darya ) in san jose... new allegations of sexual abuse at an all girls catholic school have surfaced. this after a former student came forward to share her story of abuse. catherne leehane says when she was a student at

presentation high school in 19-91... she was sexually abused by her teacher... and she wasn't the only one. after leehane and a classmate went public with their stories... 18 other former students revealed they went through the same thing... accusing at least eight teachers and staff members. ( james ) in our top national story ... the president has signed a spending bill that will keep the government runningand will likely fund the government for the next two years. the problem is it raises spending caps and adds hundreds of billions of dollars to the national debt. alexandra limon joins us live from washington to explain what's in the deal and what isin't. (áááalexandraáá) even though the budget passed, it was a contentious process and congress voted in the middle

of the night because senator rand paul held up the process. the agreement would fund the government for the next two years, but cogress needs to hash out all of the details and they have until march 23rd to figure out specific appropriations. the two year budget deal lifts spending caps that are in place and increases government spendign by 500 billion dollars the issue senator rand paul of kentucky has with that. is that the majority of the spending isn't paid for. so it would add more than 300 billion dollars to the national debt that's according to the non partisan congresional budget office. most of the money goes to miilitary spending -to 700 billion this year and 716 billion next year. that adds up to about a 10% increase in defense funding and makes repbulcians happy. the deal also provides about 90 billion dollars in disaster

rilief for areas hit hard by hurricanes last year including puerto rico, texas and florida. and because democratic support was needed for this deal, it also funds prorams democrats care about. like community health centers. and preventing some cuts to medicare and medicaid. also this year adds four years of funiding to the childrens health insurance program. you may remember the previous continuing resolution funded chip for six years this means that chip will now have fundign for the nex 10 years. ( james ) police are investigating bullet holes in

windows at a bank in mountain view. it happened wednesday afternoon at the wells fargo bank branch on grant road. police shut down the intersection of grant road and el camino real...for at least an hour while they investigated. no one was injured... and the bullet holes were not part of a robbery. ( james ) officers with the san mateo police department will start wearing body cameras. the department announced all officers are now equipped with the body worn cameras. the cameras will be mounted on their chest or helmet. officers will record incidents they deem as necessary. ( darya ) lawmakers in sacramento are taking action to prevent sexual harassment. democratic assemblyman marc levine.. introduced a bill aimed at stopping sexual harassment by lobbyists. the bill would ban lobbyists for up to four years for harassment. the move comes just days after governor brown signed the whistle-blower

act.. which protects legislative workers who report violations like sexual harassment by their collegues. ( darya ) levine's bill is expected to be taken up by a committee next month. ( darya ) the woman who was livestreaming during a deadly crash... has been sentenced to six years in prison. obdulia sanchez was convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter, d-u-i and child endangerment. sanchez was driving around 100 mile per hours in los banos when she lost control of her car. the car overturned... ejecting and killing her 14- year-old sister. video shows sanchez taking her hands off the wheel while driving. the recording also shows

( james ) a federal appeals court upholds a san francisco law that regulates a landlord's ability --- to buyout renters. back in 2014... san francisco supervisors passed the law over concerns that landlords were forcing tenants to accept buyouts... to get around rent control. landlords argued against the law -- saying it violated their rights. the court did not agree. the law requires landlords to inform tenants of their rights in a buyout. it also allows tenants to back out of a buyout deal within 45 days.
