(jrstone) concerns from former renters at the journey's end mobile park tonight over reports that the owner intends to sell the property. the santa rosa mobile park was mostly destroyed during the north bay firestorm. residents have had to find temporary housing while they search for permanent solutions. we reached out to co-owner of the property -- ramsey shuayto -- who said they're not neccessarily looking to sell the property. he told us they're partnering with burbank housing to replace 160 units that are in poor shape with affordable housing, and that the family hopes to keep a stake in the property.

they learned he was undocumented. the cal student was sent to jail for three weeks which his attorney said was unsual for someone without a criminal record. it was there he met detainees like himself and was inspired to give back from the 15 thousand dollars that was raised online for his own bond that was only 15 hundred dollars to free others. sot: prerna lal, immigration attorney// "and he felt like he was incredibly lucky and priveleged to have had legal and community support and people to post bond and he felt really, really bad that other people who were locked up whom he felt deserved to be in this country more than him who were basically locked up because tehy couldn't pay money to free themselves." ( jr ) morgan hill police have arrested a woman for stealing mail. this is the woman...morgan hill resident michelle duarte. an officer responded to the area of butterfield boulevard and san pedro avenue yesterday at 5-47 p-m on a report of two suspicious suspects. the officer found the 39-year-old woman carrying two packages under her arm. she claims she was trying to return the packages to her friend's neighbor... but she was traveling further from the address on the packages. officers booked the woman into santa clara county jail and returned the items. (justine) on friday -- jurors found an illegal immigrant guilty of killing two sacramento county deputies. the sacramento sheriff calls the guilty verdicts - including two counts of first degree murder - a step toward justice. as tom miller

(jrstone) the alameda city council approved plans to install license plate readers in the city. kron 4's will tran explains it might be a while before you see those cameras. alameda police will have 500 hundred thousand dollars to spend on the 13 cameras but the city won't buy them yet. police will now need to work with city attorneys to come up with a policy that promises to not share the information gathered from the cameras with ice.many people say if there's no policy in place... the cameras have potential to do more harm than help jim pruitt/alameda resident-i come down on the privacy side. i'm a bit worried about the
