now at ten: a vicious dog attack in san francisco's dolores park.... leaves four people and a dog hurt . thank you for joining us tonight im pam moore. (ken) and im ken wayne. now - police are looking for the owner of the two pit bulls. kron4's hermela aregawi is live in san francisco with how this happened. hermela, must have been a scary siutation at such a popular park. (hermela aregawi)fortunately.. all of the victims including the dog are going to be okay. their injuries are non-life threatening. but police tell us.. they want to get a hold of the suspect so they can get the full story.they tell us this happened around 11:45 in the morning on sunday. .. in this part of the park where dogs can be off leash. these two pitbulls that were with the suspect you see here attacked another dog. they bit the lhasa poo named bloom on the back. when four people that were with bloom tried to intervene, they were bitten in the hand. three of them were taken to a local hospital for treatment. and bloom was also taken to the vet.the victms called sfpd. but by the time officers arrived.. the suspect had put his brown and gray pit

bulls on a leash and took off. we spoke with some people here that frequent the park with their dogsand one of them tells us why he doesn't think it's a local resident.. and they say... this park is still safe.. but only at certain times. most of the locals who live here around the park who have dogs, walk our dogs early in the morning on the weekends because this is a party park so to speak.people who may not actually live here, and who bring their dogs in and so most of the locals steer clear, come around 7 in the morning, leave and then during the day may tken them to another local dog park. because it gets very crowded here and hectic if you have a dog off leash cameron walldorf/park goer i mean i think it's awful that hes going to run away and not you know kind of take responsibility. sounds like his dog wasn't as trained as it should have been.i mean i don't really worry worry about it. i feel like if mostly people are going to come out here and have their dogs off the leash, they are going to have them pretty well-trained and if something happens, their owner will intervene and be able to handle it. i am really not worried on the day to day. i think it's just an off thing that happened (hermela aregawi)tonight we

police say the couple were in their 60's neighbors are shocked by the news and have seen the couple walk their dog around the neighborhood.long time residents say they did not see anything like this coming. this quiet block in walnut creek is the scene of a murder..68 year old sarah huber and her husband 66 year old richard huber jr were shot and killed in their home on holland drivepolice say richard shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself. officers found the bodies tuesday afternoon when they came to conduct a welfare check neighbors shocked by the news - they say nothing ever happens in this quiet neighborhood.. claudia thomas lives a few houses down..she says walnut creek police advised people in the community that there is

help the children during this quote "hard terrible time." kron four provided with this go fund me account set up to help the 10 children removed overnight from their fairfield home - this as family members are trying to suddenly care for the needs of kids, ranging in age from 4 months to 11 years of age. one family member says they knew nothing - and quote: "the whole thing is terrifying." police say they found the children living in a filthy fairfield home. carpets soaking with urine, feces, human and animal smeared all over the floors. hallways unpassable with garbage. their parents - jonathan allen and ina rogers now facing multiple charges of abuse. in addition, allen is facing 7 counts of torture. authorities allege he shot at bit and in some cases waterboarded his children and poured scalding water on them. allen's sister and brother said quote "when we heard the news about the children we were appalled, disturbed and saddened about what had occurred. we have not kept in contact with them for years. we hope that the children will be together and far away from these horrible conditions that they were kept in by the ones who were suppose to love, and

(pam) a louisiana man's death while in police custody .... has been ruled a homicide. a coroner said, preliminary autopsy results show... the 22-year- old suffered significant injury to his neck. undercover narcotics detectives who were investigating a case .... tracked him down at a local gas station. they said he took off leading them on a chase. and that is all this video shows .. a spokesman for the sheriff's office says, the department is not equipped with body cameras or dash cameras. detectives eventually caught up to the suspect in someone's backyard -- where a struggle ensued before he was taken into custody.while the suspect was in handcuffs... detectives say, they noticed he was not breathing and administered life- saving techniques. he later died at a nearby hospital.the sheriff's office said, the detectives admitted using force in his arrest.

francisco's mayor is proposing a first-of-its kind programto fight drug abuse on city streets...(pam) it includes money for a dedicated 'drug addiction street team'... grant lodes is here with details.. (grant) san francisco is struggling with a seemingly ever-growing problem with public drug abuse. dirty needles on the streets - walking by people shooting up on the sidewalk...at bart stations. now mayor mark farrell wants to create a dedicated medical team made of of people who would, among other things -- hand out a drug designed to stop heroin cravings. the mayor says the traditional hospital or clinic programjust does not work for many addicts. he's including 6-million dollars in his current budget proposal to pay for the 10-person team over

two years... mayor farrell - because ultimately this is about helping these individuals but it's also about improving the conditions of our streets. and the two go hand in hand. we approach this in san francisco with a compassion first policy. and this is another major step in that direction. we're giving additional resources to our street medicine team. we're going to have a real difference on the streets because of this program. it's going to take a few months to see the results, but when we do it's going to be dramatic."(grant) the idea is to take treatment directly to the streets...it's estimated that there are 11-thousand heroin addicts using needlesin san francisco...(grant) the city could also be the first in the nation to open supervisedinjection sites....places where people can shoot up, under the supervision of health professionals. these sites are currently used in canada and several european countries. pam, ken?
