during a deputy involved shooting caught on video. a deputy screaming after a suspect got into a patrol car and hit him.(ken) thank you for joining us i'm ken wayne.(pam) and i'm pam moore. tonight, we are also learning new details about the woman accused of hitting that deputy. our grant lodes is here with more of the dramatic video .. from the partner are heard as the suspect keeps coming at them in the cruiser. the wild scene erupted shortly after the two deputies had stopped a suspected stolen car on ocean street extention last friday. deputies say a man and woman were handcuffed in the back seat of separate cars when the woman slipped the cuffs, got into the driver's seat of that vehicle and went after the deputies. investigators say 26-year-old jessica lowe was behind the wheel...and was relentless in her attack. dep chief craig wilson "....there were plenty of opportunities for the suspect to choose not to use the vehicle to assault the deputy, to drive away, this was a deliberate assault on the deputes..." (grant) jessica lowe was hit three times. both she and the injured deputy, who has not been identified, will survive. lowe remains hospitalized but was arraigned today on multiple felony charges... including attempted murder...

(pam) disturbing video tonight .... showing the moments a man is attacked by a sheriff's k-9 in the east bay. it happened after the man was pulled over during a traffic stop. and the video shows -- the man is in handcuffs at the time of the attack. (ken) the alameda county sheriff's department says the dog was áaccidentallyá let out. but the man who was attacked is now demanding action. pulled over josh and his friends for a suspected dui. josh says he had been drinking, but was not under the influence. he had just got off work and was following a co-worker home. before he was able to comply with the deputies request for a field sobriety test, he says a police dog all of a sudden lept out of the car and started biting him. josh phillips. he attacked me. he bit me. i am hurt real bad. this is awful, i can't walk, i can't work. i did nothing wrong. the dog should not be a police dog, he did not comply with the officer telling the dog to stop.sgt. ray kelly. this was an unfortunate accident. the button to pop open the door to the canine unit got pushed. (ken) concord police are looking for a man accused of snatching purses from two women. this is the suspect. police say the robberies happened on sun valley boulevard near the bank of america. officers arrived to find a 93 year old woman and a 64 year old who had been victims, the 93 year old suffered injuries and is still in the hospital tonight. the suspect was last seen leaving in a white sedan. and is described as having a tattoo on his right forearm and gauge type earrings.and gauge type earrings. for one montecito man who was trapped in his home when mudslides ravaged his neighborhood, nothing represents the sacrifices of first responders better than a pair of shoes. (pam) and the shoes mysteriously showed up at his front door ..... months after he gave them to a barefoot firefighter. aly martinez has the amazing story. in the hour after the montecito mudslide tore through kevin rittner's home, rittner signaled for help with a flashlight.it was pitch black outside.kevin rittner/resident"about an hour later, this guy comes walking through. the mud is three to four feet high down here." the guy, was a firefighter, who waded across olive mill road to rittner's property.the firefighter was barefoot and

alone.kevin rittner/resident "he came across that road of mud barefoot up and comes up and he asks, 'are you ok?' i said, 'yeah we're fine.' and he's like, 'do you have any shoes?'"with rittner's family stuck but safe, rittner didn't think twice about helping a first responder.who as we now know, had a daunting task ahead of him.kevin rittner/resident"i think my shoes might have been a little small for him too, but it was the first pair that i could grab, the best pair that i had for him."the firefighter thanked rittner and disappeared into the darkness. flash forward five months later--kevin rittner/resident "the fact that he brought them back clean at all, is amazing" rittner found this box on his door step with his clean shoes inside. and a handwritten note from the firefighter.the letter reads:kevin rittner/resident"hi, i'm returning the shoes you let me use on the montecito mudslide. your generosity and your help in providing these shoes allowed me to help a lot of people in need. thank you. please go enjoy a fresh pair as these have seen a lot. yours truly, santa barbara county fire. i don't even know what his name was." the firefighter also left a gift certificate so rittner could buy a new pair.rittner says he see the firefighter again just to thank him.

é é(grant) tonight marks the grand unveiling of the salesforce tower in san francisco-- which is the tallest building west of chicago...and while there was supposed to be an illuminating light show... the usual city fog is stealing the show...
