("telling people voting yes on prop h would give police officers tasers, but that's just not true. the police commission already voted to equip the department with tasers and voted on a policy for their use.")in november - the police commission voted to allow officers to have tasers and how they should be used. but the - the san francisco police officers association thought the rules were too restrictive. and created "proposition h". (" we don't want to give our officers tasers and then have them afraid to use them.")under current policy officers can use tasers if the suspect is violently resisting.if passed - prop h would change the wording to "actively resisting and assaultive". (" the term violent behavior is in our opinion is very restrictive and open to interpretation.") those against prop h say the new verbiage is dangerous. opposes "prop h" saying if enacted it could only be changed or rescinded by majority of voters or by an ordinance adopted by the board of supervisors. ("there may be that rare incident where somebody does in fact die in fact of a taser. it's far safer, far far safer and more helpful than it is to be hit with a gun or by a bullet.") reporter tag: the city plans to give officers tasers by december, but the policy stating how and when they can use it? that's up to voters this june election.in san francisco, sara stinson, kron 4 news.###
