now at 8. a serial rapist is behind bars. investigators say the suspect committed 4 rapes while posing as a ride-share driver. thank you for joining us i'm ken wayne.(pam) and i'm pam moore. our grant lodes joins us now with details on the suspect .. and how police tracked him down. grant? (grant) d-n-a evidence is what sealed the deal according to police. they say orlando lazo is the rideshare rapist, a man who has been posing as a rideshare driver at least since 2013 and has now been arrested for raping 4 unsuspecting passengers....pe ople who thought they were getting into an uber or lyft. the four women were picked up outside bars and nightclubs mostly in the south of market area, then taken to another location and sexually assaulted. police were able to get dna evidence from the first attack in 2013, but there was no match in the system. then in february, and may of this year 2 more attacks with the same dna. a task force was set up in june, and this past weekend police say they found their man

this now viral video... appears to show a woman asking a street vendor in san francisco .. about having a permit to sell trinkets and sweaters. people have fired off online, calling the woman racist and they have sent messages to her employeer to get her fired. they are labeling her "hashtag permit betty"...(ken) kron-4's justine waldman spoke with the woman in the video to get her side of the story. (justine) i spoke with the woman seen in the video talking to the vendor... she says she was fired... for doing her job. nats rene folena says she lost her job, by doing what she is suppose to do.. trying to help street vendors. nats? until thursday, she worked in out-reach with streetplus, a community group that contracts with yuerba beuna communitty benefit district which aims to make the city a more welcoming place. in this now viral video, folena is seen talking to a street vendor on market street, and holding her phone the man recording the video, it appears, accuses her of harassing the vendor

(ken) a big story we're following today the justice department announced indictments against 12 russian nationals.(pam) the charges are connected to special counsel robert mueller's investigation ... into russian interference in the 20-16 election. now, one dozen russians are being formally accused of hacking into networks connected to

democratic presidential candidate hillary clinton. those russians are charged with conspiracy. the deputy attorney general also says, they stole the personal identities of roughly half a million americans. of course, most believe the russians indicted today ... will never see the inside of an american courtroom... but the charges will at least limit their travel options... including to the u.s. (pam) an update now... on the x-o- music festival in antioch that was suddenly canceled this week. kron4 has confirmed... people are starting to get their money back.. for the tickets they purchased. some people spent more than 300-dollars for the three- day tickets to the festival.... it was supposed to be packed with big name performers ... such as ludacris and t-i. and it was slated to start today at the contra costa county fairgrounds in antioch.. but was canceled this week on wednesday. it is not clear how soon everyone will receive their refunds. (philippe)nats- a knock at the door goes unanswered. but the man knocking doesn't go away.cory zwerling/neighbor- "it's a little frightening." just after 11-30 tuesday morning... a woman on the 4000 block of wilkie way in palo alto walked into her living room after ignoring the door... she was terrified to see the man standing inside her house. she yelled and he ran away without taking any stuff. palo alto police believe he got in through an unlocked sliding back door.cory zwerling/neighbor- "we sort of know who are neighbors are and we sort of watch out for each other a little bit, and we gotta probably do that a little bit more." police did use a canine to search the area for the suspect but he got away.no name/neighbor- "before, we just never locked anything, you know, now i do -- i have kids by the way. so, its, its, yeah, its scary." this woman lives about a half mile away from wilkie way, on curtner avenue... where two-weeks ago police say another woman caught a man rummaging through her apartment. he too got away, but police released a sketch of what he looked like. investigators are looking into whether or not he is the same person involved in tuesday's incident.no name/neighbor- "if you see some, anything suspicious, you

a man has been charged in the deaths of a mother and daughter... killed

when a boulder fell from the man's truck, and smashed into their car in minnesota. 33-year-old joseph czek was charged today... with four counts of criminal vehicle homicide. investigators say, an 800- pound boulder fell from the truck he was driving monday. 67- year old karen christiansen, and her 32 -year old daughter jena, were headed north on the road. the truck went over a railroad crossing... and the boulder came off, tumbled, and struck the family's car. authorities say, the boulder was not properly strapped to the truck. both women died at the scene. joseph czek's unconditional bail is set at $70 thousand dollars. coming up at eight.. a woman harassed for wearing a puerto rico t-shirt... now the man in her viral video, is facing serious charges. plus. a dog gets seriously ill after visiting the beach and playing in the water. the hidden danger his owner didn't know about. and next. why the city is considering banning buses at a popular tourist spot in san francisco.

into affect in about 4 to 6 weeks maureen kelly kron4 news (pam) ááá oncam ááá a man seen in a video harassing a woman in a chicago park .... for wearing a puerto rico tee-shirt is now facing hate crime charges. 62-year-old timothy trybus... is seen in a video that went viral, repeatedly yelling and walking toward mia irizarry. she was in a gazebo she had reserved for a birthday party. in the video, trybus can be heard saying - "you should not be wearing that shirt in the united states of america" . irizarry asks a nearby officer for help, but he appears not to intervene. that officer has since resigned from the force. the hate crime designation turns the assault and disorderly conduct charges
