the all star break. the home run derby is tonight. the all star game is tomorrow. jokavich won wimbledon, but enough about the men.. let's talk about serena. she's still my hero even though she lost.. because she was having the mother of all comebacks.. until she lost the final match with angelique kerber.. serena can be proud.. 10 months after giving birth, she labored away at the all england club.. enough with the puns?? ok here's serena:< i was really happy to get this far. it's obviously disappointing, but i can't be disappointed because there's so much to look forward to. to all the moms out there i was playing for you today, and i tried.">it woulda been great to win right out of the gate, but it's called the road to recovery for a reason.. and a star is born at the world cup! they say france's mbappe is going to be the next king of soccer.. when he grows up.. mbappe is only 19.. every time i say mbappe.. all i can think
9:50 am
of is the song.. m-bopp! the hansen brothers are in their 30's now! scary. but i digress: mbappe the soccer phenom kicked goal number four.. and france beats croatia 4 to 2. the only other teenager to score in a world cup final was pele, who was 17 years old when brazil won it in 1958. and remember i was saying paris might burn down if they won? well.. there were plenty of celebration fires.. but the eiffel tower is still standing. i can't say the same for this fan.. watch this: he
9:51 am
wants to stand up there .. it's not as easy as it looks! failnot to be outdone: merican football fans showing they can be stupid too.. maybe they were jealous of all the attention to the world cup.. cuz otherwise i don't know why eagles fans would hold a block party now to celebrate their superbowl win five months after they beat the patriots. they held a block party and re- watched the game on a big screen. they obviously can't wait for football season to start.. what.. golf's not exciting enough for ya??? it is when you throw in some stars and a huge water hazard: warriors star steph curry did better than his dad, dell in the american century championship.. but not good enough to win the bet... so he had to jump in to lake tahoe..
9:52 am
they do their side bet every year.. last year dell had to take the plunge.. he joined steph in the water this time anyway. what a good sport. curry finished 11th.. the winner was former dallas cowboys quarterback tony romo.. he beat three-time defending champ mark mulder who used to play for the a's and san jose sharks captain joe pavelski who was the leader after the first two rounds. 57 thousand fans watched the celebs over the week.. if only golf were really that much fun to watch all the time!
