you for joining us i'm ken wayne.(vicki) and i'm vicki liviakis...pam moore has the night off. for a third straight day ...the rain creating slick conditions on the roadways. causing trouble for some drivers. we have team coverage on the storm.. kron-4's charles clifford shows us how traffic fared.. but first chief meteorologist lawrence karnow is tracking this second storm...lawrence how much more rain can we expect. lawrence karnow: it was a wet and sometimes windy day. the rain continues tonight before turning to showers. a few showers could linger into early tomorrow morning before becoming partly cloudy and dry. highs will be a little warmer and in the 50s and the mid 60s. it will be partly cloudy on sunday and dry. the dry weather will last though monday. another storm will hit the bay area on tuesday to bring more rain. rain and isoloted thunderstorms are possible wednesday and thursday. a brief break is then expected on friday. heavy. . fell through out the day. the wet conditions made for slick roads and slow going. along highway 13 near montclair, a car lost control and struck the median. traffic was back up as crews worked to clear the scene. natsnot far away, tiny sausal creek in oakland was running fast and deep with dirty water as the rain drained down out of the oakland hills.natskeith young lives nearby. he was out for a walk just enjoying the fresh air.sotin nearby montclair, the umberllas were out downtown as neighbors adjusted to the reality that wet weather had finally arrived.sotbrian kuhn was meeting a friend. he had been in denver the past few weeks and was glad the smoke was gone when he got back.sotkuhn also hopes that this will be a long and wet wintersot but definetly slick out on the roads , be carefull if your going to be driving.in oakland, charles clifford kron 4 news
(ken) moments of panic among a crowd watching a ferry crash into a san francisco dock.(ken) the boat was carrying 53 passengers when it slammed into the dock at san francisco's ferry building. (vicki) two people onboard were injured. let's go live right to the scene--- kron4's dan thorn is there. dan... what's the latest. it was a scary ride for passengers aboard this golden gate ferry..the vessel smashed into an outer berth then a dock here at the san francisco ferry building. the scene was frightening for people not only on the boat but also on
land.. évideo shows the ferry moving towards the dock around 2:30 this afternoon. you can see people panicking as the as it slams into the terminal. passengers tell us on-board there was no warning about the accident even after the ferry struck the berth. san francisco firefighters did respond to the scene. one woman tells us golden gate transit needs to give passengers an answer as to what happened including how the crew responded.

over in the median... another car lost control and hit the porsche from behind and ran into the median concrete wall. police say rain was a factor in the crash. and are reminding people to slow down and take your time while driving on wet roads. (vicki) gunfire created some tense moments in the south bay this afternoon.. and it is still an active scene right now. what we know is that san jose police were called to a home hours earlier . and an officer did fire his weapon. kron 4's ella sogomonian reports there are still many other questions yet to be answered. police got a call at around 10 this morning from a house on barrow court saying a family member was armed with a gun and they needed help.we heard two loud bangs come from

billion this holiday season. suing the diocese and kiesle, who left the church.. in a statement, kathy said quote " this is unacceptabale and once again, the holy see, bishops, cardinals, oakland docese are to be accountable and i will continue to speak and fight for all kids... her attorney... also had a scathing reaction to the delay... (ken) the u-s postal service is alerting bay area residents... not to be alarmed if you start seeing mail delivered as early as 5-30 a-m. the change is happening in the coming weeks. it comes as the u-s-p-s ramps up package deliveries for the holidays. the postal service projects a double digit increase in package volume this year. saying more than 900 million packages will be delivered between thanksgiving and new

(ken) the mayor of tijuana has declared a humanitarian crisis. and is asking for the united nations for aid to deal with an estimated 5- thousand migrants who have arrived. most of the migrants are camped out at a makeshift shelter after spending more than month on the road. the trump administration has spent weeks criticizing the caravan... saying it was filled with criminals, gang members..and even terrorists. (ken) a house exploded in saint paul, minnesota, today sending debris flying through the area... and it was caught on tape... take a look. officials say a man in his 60s was found inside what remained of the house. he was taken to an area hospital, and is expected to recover. officials suspect the blast was caused by a natural gas line but they're still investigating. the entire block where the house was located has been condemned, displacing at least 11 people. (vicki) a new government report has a dire warning about the impact of climate change on the health and economy of the united states. the fourth national climate
assessment says the costs of dealing with climate change could reach hundreds of billions of dollars annually by the end of the century. it predicts hotter temperatures will kill more people, crop yields will decline dramatically, and ocean acidification will cause millions of dollars in losses to the seafood industry. according to the findings -- rising sea levels will threaten public infrastructure and real estate along u-s coasts. the report predts wildfires will consume up to six times more forest area every year by 2050 -- and there will be an increase in mosquito- and tick-borne illnesses. it was compiled by one-thousand people, including 300 leading scientists, working with 13 federal agencies. next at 8 the future of black friday is changing. what you might want to ock up on as some of these deals may vanish. after the break, we have a warriors update and the raiders look to win two in a row....we preview their matchup with baltimore....stay

this year marks the first christmas season since marijuana has been legal in california..(ken) and customers at one store in west hollywood lined up for an hour before the store opened today for some black friday deals. this is a look at the "medmen pot shop" earlier today where it was offering 40 percent off everything. the store owner says he didn't know what to expect on his first black friday but he was pleased with the turnout. (ken) police in the netherlands found hundreds of thousands of euros stuffed
inside a washing machine. they were checking for unregistered residents in western amsterdam when they made the discovery. police say a stash of 350- thousand euros was found hidden in the drum of a washing machine -- that's around 400-thousand u-s dollars. police also found mobile phones, a gun, and a money-counting machine. they arrested a 24-year-old at the house. he was charged with -- wait for it -- money laundering. the raiders are looking to put together back to back wins for the first time this season.....>but it'll be tough.....>not only do they have to fly across the country.....>but they are taking on a baltimore ravens team that boasts the best defense in the nfl....>oakland will also be down a number of key players....>it has been a trying year for the raiders but the injuries have done them no favors....>last week they played 12 rookies and expect the same this week....>

(vicki) but we start tonight with chief meteorologist lawrence karnow he's been tracking the series of storms... lawrence... lawrence karnow: it was a wet and sometimes windy day. the rain continues tonight before turning to showers. a few showers could linger into early tomorrow morning before becoming partly cloudy and dry. highs will be a little warmer and in the 50s and the mid 60s. it will be partly cloudy on sunday and dry. the dry weather will last though monday. another storm will hit the bay area on tuesday to bring more rain. rain and isoloted thunderstorms are possible wednesday and thursday. a brief break is then expected on friday.
