today will bring the heaviest of rainfall of the best 3 days and for many areas the season so far. after a morning with scattered showers heavy rain arrives after noon with the potential of flooding along with strong winds boosting through the afternoon into the evening. highs will peak in the mid to upper 50's with low 60's for some.

concerns on the banks of san anselmo creek have marin county officials moving ahead with a plan ... meant to reduce the risk. here's kron4's maureen kelly with the story. pkghere's what it looked like back in 2005....when many businesses were inundated with floodwater when the creek jumped it's banks. but the plan to reduce the risk of that happening again.....involves the demolition of a building that's home to four businesses. that's because what's known as building bridge #2....straddles the creek..... the city and county says it's also is the reason behind the major floods in this town.....because of the way it was build back in the 50's.... actually it's a bottleneck imagine you take an orifice like a circle and you restrict it the size of it then the waters going to back up and out because of that building the water backs up and out and jumps over onto bridge street and then comes down san antonio ave. and also to the park areacounty officials have purchased the building and are moving ahead with the plan they say will improve the area's natural habitat and that's the hope that we can bring the creek and the park more into downtown make more of a space for people to use the owner of the restaurant that's being forced to move says he knew it was coming but it hasn't been easythat's what happens when you don't have

the choice we didn't make a decision, they made it for us. it's been a long two years it has been very challenging to run a business i like a day by day without really knowing what's gonna happen the building is scheduled to be torn down by the summer of 2020, by both the city and county say they are working with the business owners to try to relocate them and hopefully keep them in san anselmo maureen kelly kron4 news. crew is clearing storm drains in concord, acting fast to prevent neighborhoods like this from flooding during the storm. (robin ) concord public works are also supplying people with flood prevention do-it-yourself tools at several sandbagging stations including their corporation yard on gasoline alley. (robin ) new this morning... police are searching for two men wanted in connection to a deadly shooting at a liquor store in san jose. here is new surveillance video of the men police are looking for. you can see them walking with scooters. police say both men are in their 20's. the shooting happened last month at the el rancho liquors on the corner of west alma and almaden avenues. police say 43-year-old nathan johnson- harper of fresno was killed. the motive is still under investigation. (robin ) breaking overnight. a man was fatally shot by police ...

after shooting two people in placer county. the shtings happened at two different locations between loomis and newcastle. this is video of traffic last night along westbound interstate 80 and highway 65 near roseville. deputies say the shooter crashed his vehicle there. the officer- involved shooting happened after officers confronted the man. police say one of the victims who was shot ... died overnight. a police k-9 was hurt during the incident but is expected to recover. (robin ) a bay area community continues to mourn the lives of two teenagers who died in a crash over the weekend. the crash happened in antioch near lone tree way and indian hill drive. the coroner's office confirmed, 17- year leana rubin died in the crash. 13- year old jaia lightner is the other victim. some teenagers stood in the rain by a memorial ... to mourn the victims. family members and friends braved the weather to honor the girls in a vigil.

"jaiah was kiara's best friend, kiara was the sister-is the sister of the driver and she lost her sister and her best friend in this tragedy. her parents, jaiah lightner's parents have been reaching out to my granddaughter. it's so beautiful, you know, they're suffering too and they're thinking of all of us who are suffering. jaiah, when i saw her, she would say, 'hey grandma, what's up?' because she was so much of a part of our family too."> four others remain in the hospital, some with serious injuries. (robin ) in palo alto... police are searching for a group of men accused of robbing and assaulting another man along university avenue. the victim says... he was being followed monday night, while heading to the transit center... and while he stopped to check his email on his phone to let a group pass.... a man grabbed his phone... and another started kicking him. we're still working on

getting a description of (robin ) in the east bay -- 46-year-old francisco lima was arrested after allegedly crashing into an unoccupied police vehicle in walnut creek... and then leading officers on a chase which ended at the cross-roads shopping center in pleasant hill. before police were able to place him under arrest they say a standoff ensued for hours. the standoff caused a major traffic backup in the busy area of the shopping center, which is located just off 680. (robin ) a woman fought off an attempted kidnapper with an umbrella as he tried to shove her into his van in san rafael. police say she left work on civic center drive and walked toward the bus stop at the marin county civic center. she missed the last bus then turned to walk back to work. that's when a dark colored minivan with tinted windows pulled up behind her. the woman says a man got out and grabbed her from behind. she fought back with an umbrella and got away.

(robin ) former major league pitcher john wetteland has been charged in texas with continuous sex abuse of a child under age 14. police say, the 52-year-old wetteland was arrested and released on a 25-thousand dollar bond. according to the affidavit, wetteland is accused of having a child perform a sex act on him .... beginning in 2004 when the child was 4 years old. wetteland grew up in sebastapol, and graduated from cardinal newman in 1984. he also attended the college of san mateo for one- year before he was drafted by the dodgers. later in his career -- wetteland was m-v-p of the 1996 world series with the new york yankees. (robin ) also in the east bay... six protesters who didn't want five diseased and damaged trees from people's park in berkeley were arrested. u-c police have been dealing with the group of

protesters for months. they started a small encampment back in december, which university officials say has now grown to include 50 people. the six protesters who were arrested were cited for unlawful lodging, unlawful camping on campus and breaking the campus curfew. (robin ) happening today... people in the bay area plan to protest comedian louis c-k ahead of his performance this week. the enough is enough political action committee and the san jose women's march plan to protest today's show at the san jose improv. the protest groups argue that the show gives a platform to c- k... after he admitted to sexually harassing women in 20-17. the comedian stoped performing since then, but has slowly returned to the scene. the protest starts at 7:30 tonight.
