( james ) in the east bay... a man died when a tree branch fell on him in east oakland. it happened near the ardley avenue overpass under interstate 580. the victim has not been named. ( darya ) and one man was killed on highway 121 in napa county wednesday because of the weather. police say

three other vehicles were involved in the crash --- the conditions of the other people involved have not been released. a 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempting to drown a baby in the ocean. sheriff's deputies say chisato chiyoda was found at a beach in half moon bay ... soaking wet and holding a baby. officials say, she was seen acting strangely minutes before walking into the water. investigators believe it was an attempted murder- suicide.

the baby was treated for hypothermia and released from the hospital into the custody of child protective services.
