lot line creations face that you know of course they want to take care of the patients, they're trained to do that that's what they bay, you know look to do. but it's dynamic between okay i want to take care of my patients that does that mean i'm not taking care of myself, i'm putting my life in danger and something like and ange at being unseen danger that kind of ral quandary i think brings its own really on unique stress and you could affect to die. as opposed to a time we need to have a pandemic and that's what makes it quite unique the stress of the situation you know anything could be to you tend to sell tobacco on close a major trauma that many tumors can lead to we know from research that was done after the opponent and then making 2014 that health care workers, the vast majority he'll actually on the psychological wounds of something on this front range but a substantial minority will develop ptsd we know from research that was done after
5:37 pm
9.11 that 20% of first responders on the ground to ptsd it ended up being quite high for many many of them and we also know from disasters like hurricane katrina that you know the people who write in end of ptsd because of a consequence of what they did and saw during those times. >>time for another look at the forecast and meteorologist mabrisa standing by with details on whether that is going to get hot the bruce a. >>oh it's going to get really hot katherine in the coming days, we could be near or actually break some records in the bay area in the coming days, but from now getting that cool sea breeze influence bringing in that marina right up along the coastline of the bay area and stormtracker bore striking overall clear skies for those of you as you make your way inland but those strong westerly sea breezes are actually going to push some low and high cloud cover be could see some patchy drizzle tonight better clearing though during the overnight hours with sunshine to start and end the day for
5:38 pm
your wednesday, but future cast for is also going to show more visibility sturdy dishing about high cloud cover dense low clouds and fog tonight shortly before and after midnight but then during the overnight hours right before sunrise. that's what we're going to notice better lifting and clearing and it all depends on that winds change and direction so we right now are seeing westerly winds that during the overnight hours. they're going to shift out of the northwest the perfect offshore flow pattern that's going to help our temperatures warm up starting tomorrow temperatures as you head out the door cooling down into the 60's along the bay area coast and even along the east bay shoreline with low to mid and upper 70's as you make your way in rent and overnight lows tonight very similar to last night cooling down into the upper 40's to low 50's. but tomorrow's daytime highs 8 to 15 degrees above average so already starting to warming trend tomorrow, widespread 70's and 80's. but the peak of this new you rape won't actually arrive until friday.
5:39 pm
that's where we could see widespread 70's and 80's along the coast and our bally's in the 80's or 90's so 10 to nearly 20 degrees above average and we're going to break any records. it is certainly going to be on friday. so just keep that in mind little change saturday, some coastal cooling by saturday but really for everyone by sunday and then could even see some rain starting monday night through tuesday returning to the bay area little bit too far out itself just how much rain are expected to get but it will be on the lighter side as we have been noticing here in the bay area but will be much needed much welcome really after this he from later this week catherine back to you. thank you. bruce, a. >>coming up california. wineries they've been forced to find new ways to reach customers during the pandemic what a berkeley winery is doing this week it and how the 49 ers are giving back to the community this giving tuesday. and when we come back the 2020 commencement speakers expected to make

5:49 pm
throughout this pandemic you cannot drive through you have to have an appointment and then you have to get out of your car and going to the site and get that coronavirus tests but you don't have to be showing any symptoms of the coronavirus appointments are now available starting today. there's one testing site in santa rosa and one in petaluma if you have insurance your provider will be billed. if you don't have insurance you can still get a test. this after governor gavin, newsome announced he's adding more than 80 community coronavirus testing sites statewide the 2 new testing sites are different than the county drive-thru testing at the sonoma county public health laboratory which is currently for health care workers only these sites create more access for all which will help sonoma county region school in conducting 60 to 80 test per day to better understand the spread of the coronavirus and where the most cases are
5:50 pm
health officials have not released where exactly these tests will be conducted but did say the state made sure the 2 were between 30 minutes and an hour away from the nearest hospital or another testing site if you're interested in getting one of these coronavirus test in sonoma county. we put a link to the website to get that appointment on our website kron 4 dot com. and if you don't have internet access and you live here in sonoma county you can always call 2, 1, one again that's 2, 1, 1, for any resources you may need during this pandemic. >>in santa rosa sarah stinson kron 4 news. >>let's take one last look at the forecast this hour and go back agree sir roderick us mabrisa. >>i gather you know we definitely notice cooler temperatures along the coast. they said that strong sea breeze and we're noticing sustained winds around 20 miles per hour white along the bay area coastline even extending into the east bay as well as the current wind speeds right now as you can
5:51 pm
see pretty gusty still for those of you in downtown san francisco in fairfield and well into the double digits for most of the bay area with conquered and san jose near 20 mile per hour wind speeds and temperatures right now cooler in fact because of that strong onshore flow widespread 60's trump, the bay area's shoreline with 70's as you make your way inland. so it was a unique microclimate forecast today, warm temperatures inland because at sea breeze didn't really extend to most of our interior spots but we did notice below average temperatures for most of the coastal communities, especially along the bay area coastline and overnight lows tonight very similar to last night upper 40's to low 50's but warming up in a big way downtown san francisco today. few degrees below average only one that is 61 degrees on the town of that stronger sea breeze but tomorrow, warming up more than 10 degrees to 72 or your afternoon highs and it's all because of that change in wind direction out of the northwest which is a perfect textbook example of an
5:52 pm
offshore flow pattern and that's what's going to help warm us up in the coming days, especially friday, seeing those return of those diablo winds downtown san francisco 72 degrees far as i just showed you widespread 70's throughout the san francisco peninsula and 60's around derry city ap they learning with 70's that 69 degrees 73 degrees for brisbane but no great warming up to 71 degrees or your afternoon highs, widespread 70's or san mateo and foster city at 72 degrees. even all also warming up into the low 70's, but mountain view low 80's. so we're all going to be about 8 to 15 degrees above average san jose warming up to 82 degrees in the south bay would sonny bill 78 degrees or your wednesday afternoon highs miss midweek warm-up also going to extend into the east bay as well livermore 84 degrees with widespread 80's and even 70's as you make your way throughout the east bay shoreline flirting with a tease for oakland, but
