>> from the bay area's local news station. you're watching kron. 4 news at 6. >> tonight at 6.10, people are dead. 3 others injured after a horrific act of violence in buffalo, new york. thanks for joining us here on kron. 4 news at 6. i'm noelle bellow and i'm dan thorn. the mass shooting happened in a predominantly black neighborhood. authorities are classifying it as racially motivated violent extremism. >> a gunman wearing military gear and a helmet camera walked into a supermarket with a rifle and opened fire. live streaming as they gunned down defenseless victim after
defenseless victim mll. is live for us tonight in buffalo. she's joining us now with the very latest in l >> that's exactly right. as you said, investigators are calling this a mass shooting. it happened at this tops market in buffalo, new york. 13 people were shot and tennis did not survive. according to buffalo police, the alleged shooter is in custody and has been arraigned tonight. the gunman has been identified as 18 year-old payton gun drawn of caulk la new york. police say he entered the supermarket heavily armed with tactical gear and a rifle. he was also live streaming when he opened fire. police say a retired buffalo police officer who was working as a security guard. the gunman had shot and the shooter was unharmed because he was our word. the retired police officer was also shot and killed. this case is being investigated as a racially motivated hate crime. a law enforcement source confirmed the gunman had a racial slur written on his weapon. erie county district attorney john flynn did not confirm the existence of the shooters.
possible manifesto. he said they believe there was a racial component to the attack but declined to say more. the attack is being investigated by the fbi and as a hate crime and violent extremism. live in buffalo ahead. >> all right, thank you. >> well, the streets of san francisco were filled with protesters today as women and men march for reproductive rights. demonstration is just one of hundreds happening across the country today as many are fearing that the supreme court could be gearing up to overturn roe v wade kron fours. camila barco has more from san francisco. >> men and women on march through the streets of san francisco saturday morning calling on lawmakers to leave women's along. i don't think that anyone should have a say over what a woman chooses to do with her reproductive system. people like daniel and jessica, bold as voiced their frustrations along with hundreds of others on the
possibility of the u.s. supreme court overturning roe v wade and the new legal access to abortion. it's it makes me so angry, but erling buttering on speechless. really, very alarming, right? i feel very much like violated of my privacy. this has sparked protest rallies and marches for reproductive rights in the last few weeks across the country and the bay area that really even should be other lawmakers. legislatures courts deciding whether a person control their body or not. people are going to continue to do it and it's going to be dangerous. and these are going to my marching allies, france the united states both wild as and daniel say. >> protecting women's reproductive rights is about everyone moving forward. >> as a nation that if this country wants to be about progression or it has to bring all of citizens along with
that. and that includes women. the court is expected to rule on this case before its term ends in late june or early july in san francisco, camila barco kron. 4 news. >> thank you. camila front and center at today's rally. san francisco mayor london breed. she tweeted out after the march, quote, this is a fight that impacts everyone and it will take all of us from states across the country coming together to protect and preserve women's right to choose time. now to get you a first look at your 4 zone forecast for evening. a live look out of san it's looking absolutely beautiful. it didn't take a lot for people to get out today and do anything. they every side. i'm not going to i'm a little sunburned. out there. i know in the summer like temperatures going to continue throughout most of this upcoming week as well. we're tracking warm temperatures as you make your way inland. take a look at concord, 83 degrees. >> mid 50's for those of you. what happened base. our micro climates out in full force for
your saturday afternoon. low 60's for downtown san francisco. and we're seeing mid 60's for those of you in oakland. and we're flirting with 80's for santa rosa. but 79 degrees there with napa and allay currently in the low 80's. so, yeah, if you wanted relief from the heat, the san francisco peninsula coastline, certainly the place to beat that heat because we're tracking not only a cool sea breeze, but some marine layer influence as well. keeping temperatures today mostly in the 50's and 60's along the coast when tracker for still tracking that cool sea breeze out there. 25 mile per hour sustained winds with gusts near 30 miles per hour for downtown san francisco in radar for a lot of sunshine out there right now, especially as you make your way inland. but we're going to see the return a great overnight into your sunday morning. we could even get some patchy drizzle as well. not just along the san francisco peninsula, but even into parts of the east bay shoreline as well. and then we are going to notice partly cloudy skies throughout the
afternoon and we have a lunar eclipse as well as you can see, pretty socked in with that cloud cover head as far inland as you can specifically in the east bay valleys, solano county. and even for those of you in san jose in the south bay, for the best viewing for that bay to breakers starts at 8 o'clock in the morning. temperatures mid 50's mostly cloudy drizzle and we are going to see the wind speeds 20 miles per hour or less than the cooling trend will continue through monday until we eventually warm up again next week. details my full forecast in just a few minutes. back to, you know, well, and an thank a police on the peninsula are investigating a suspicious death. tonight. san mateo police say >> a man was found dead at a bus stop earlier this morning. kron four's gayle ong has the story. >> the scene is now cleared, but it was a different picture earlier in the day. police are now investigating this case as a homicide. investigators blocked off this bus stop on el camino real south near east hillsdale boulevard for much of the morning and afternoon
saturday after a man was found unresponsive just before 07:00am 7 to police. officers quickly arrived on scene and located an unresponsive. >> male a seat at the bus. stop. on an initial quick investigation. it was determined. the second the circumstances were such that were suspicious in nature. we spoke with the family of the man off camera who asked for privacy. >> police are not saying much about the circumstances surrounding the man's death other than it's being investigated as a homicide, but are still looking for witnesses who saw anything suspicious near the bus. stop early saturday morning. san mateo police are asking the public if you know anyone who was driving in the area specifically. >> around 01:00am to 07:00am, and driving with a vehicle with video recording capabilities. you're asked to contact police reporting from san mateo gayle ong kron. 4 news. >> coming up here on kron, 4 news at 6 gop leaders showing their support for ukraine as they visit with president zelensky. what they're saying

an israeli aircraft fired at least 8 missiles in the mask. yeah, for region igniting several fires and farmlands. all right. let's get a check of your 4 zone forecast now taking a live look at the golden gate bridge. >> out there and then north bay. nice day out there. really warm one out there. it was very warm. i was in the headlines are a lot of people hiking, biking. it was a lot of activity out there. but i mean, perfect day for that's why you are in sam, for the sunshine. who was a really warm day in them. along our beaches 50's 60's. so we're getting into that summer like micro climate pattern out there right now, we're may gray was along the coast, but as you major way inland, certainly warmer temperatures there. but let's take a live look outside downtown san francisco. >> transamerica pyramid. and as you can see, crystal clear, blue skies in downtown san francisco. but along our beaches dealing with a gray out there and cool sea breeze. so that's i half moon bay. you're in the mid-fifties at 55 degrees with mid 80's. for
those of you in concord, an antioch and everything else in between downtown san francisco already starting to cool down in the upper 50's. >> because of that cool sea breeze influence extending into the east bay shoreline with mid 60's. there. san jose. very pleasant temperatures at 75 degrees. so hope you got to go out and enjoy the weekend. weather off to a great start. overnight lows tonight. going to be on the mild side. widespread mid 50's but 2 outliers we have happening bay cooling down to 49 degrees in antioch. even warmer at 61 degrees. so temperatures tomorrow going to be cooler. 5 to 10 degrees cooler tomorrow compared to the day to our warmest inland valleys. mid 70's for those of you in concord and livermore. 77 degrees for san jose with santa rosa trying to flirt with 80's. but 79 degrees there in mid 60's. very seasonal temperatures along the bay area coastline and even into downtown san francisco and oakland in the low 70's. so we are going to notice, though, some changes for your sunday night. a more
