8:01 am
the 70's. it will be a few low. 80's winds are definitely a factor, especially out towards the delta will see some of our breezy a stick of conditions. aairfield vacaville down to concord. so watch for that. otherwise weather is really cooperative and will stay that way through the weekend. details about it are still ahead. tom, thank you for that, right. looking at your bridges this morning. traffic has been very light. >> 2 minute drive making it from so that pretty much the exit san mateo bridge as you're heading across towards the peninsula. there, about 13 minutes for your drive. let's get a look at the richmond center fell bridge as you head out of richmond across the worse. and phil 9 minutes and the golden gate bridge. 37 to the tolls a 20 minute morning right? >> roar of the crowd. that's what was echoing all throughout the chase center last night after the warriors beat the mavericks to claim the title as western

conference final champions. and now they're headed the nba finals have this is the 6th time in 8 years of the dubs actually clinched a spot in the finals. and we're very proud of it. absolutely. kron 4 sarah stinson has been celebrating all night long all morning long to joining us to help pay sarah. >> well, i got a few hours of sleep. i forced myself to go to sleep after all that excitement. i was like i he go to bed right now. we just one. we are best in the west and here after a few hours of sleep yelling to everybody who's out here, which is not a lot of people. i expected more to be out and about. but not really because a poll rout late last night celebrating the big win. i mean, you can see thrive. city was popping. people were so excited inside a chase. other people were so excited. take a look at video of the team celebrating after their big win. they beat the mavericks one 20 to one 10. what a game. it was.
8:03 am
>> i mean, it was not only thrilling because we're winning most of the time, but it was also kept us on the edge of our seat at the end. they like to do that to us, don't we're mostly winning 20 to 25 points. most of the game game. 5 clay came out to play scoring 32 points towards the 4th quarter. got close with the 10 point range making us all nervous. it looks like luka doncic's woke up from another not be started making. those dew point is again, we like not this again, but we pulled it off with played such a strong game. the entire time. it just became very clear who the better team is right now. and for the first time since 2019, the team has made it to the finals. the dynasty, as they say, coach kerr steph curry, klay thompson and draymond green all making it to the finals. 6 times together. now despite injuries with steph and klay, they came back better and stronger. a lot of people said this team was not going make it far. i love an underdog. we showed that we could make it far and make it to the nba finals. and now it's time to
8:04 am
show we can make it and not only that, but when the nba finals, steph curry was awarded the first ever magic johnson western conference finals mvp award. he averaged 23.8 points per game. this series. it really was the mvp of the series. but if we had an mvp of the game, i think a lot of people would say, clay, let's hear from him right now. >> it's up there. but the much sweeter if we complete the mission come next round. but stephanie, a moment i'm going to enjoy tonight. my family, my friends, they were there during the dog it was like 1000 cafes, the day and you know, it's painful at times. but i just saw this insight and kept going. proud of. only my after. but our whole team like we really job this year at the right time and we exciting times ahead of us. >> they really gel the chemistry is back. they worked so hard to get here after
8:05 am
those injuries and they succeeded. the other people who succeeded that persevering is the fans dubbed a shunt is not give up and they show up when they need to. last night drive city was packed and afterwards people were dancing and singing and celebrating. just living the time of their lives. i wish i had there. but again, i had to go to sleep. that's why this morning i'm having so much fun with you. pjames rain, the trying to tel the people in san francisco. remember, we are the best in the west and now we get to some c. >> who we play in the nba finals tonight, miami and boston. they are about to face off and we'll find out soon who we will play doesn't matter. we're going to win and we're ready for it. james data. >> can experience. that's the spirit. and it's going to be a at least a home start at the chase center, which is great. so we actually looked up some of the ticket prices and it's a it's kind of high. in fact, ih you're looking for the cheapest seats here on stub-hub, we did a little
8:06 am
search 700 bucks more. >> so and that's for the cheap seats. you want a little closer in and it's going to cost you about $11,000. but that doesn't include the floor seats. you want to sit on the floor? up that to about 20 to $74,000. don't if they're actually get that price is for it because you can only get what people want to pay. but that's what they're asking right away. you go see a game where you fill up your gas shoes either way. either way you got to take out a mortgage. it's seen as getting that bad. that's one of our big stories as we're heading into the memorial day holiday weekend is that people are paying extra just to top off their tanks before they head out will tran has been giving us that harsh reality out there at the pump all throughout the morning and talking to people will. >> i mean, it's a lot. yeah. >> i just found the hardest look case as far as gas prices that you'll probably find any time because look at this

monster truck there. and no, he's not going to any show. he needs this truck for work. it's a landscaping business. so it's not like this particular driver can ditch it for something smaller. he just told me how much it costs to told me how much it costs to fill up each time and how many alejandra, thank you for spending time with how much does it cost you to put a full foot back? probably 120, but time and i put the $400 week. $400. yes, there's nothing you can do, right? you need this money to do it. yeah. needed to for sure. >> so you run a business. how do you? make it work? how does it happen? well, some things that thing the say why you try me a little more, you know up and we need to raise the prices and all the jobs for sure. that's everything. got a lot of money. yes, including or gas. i want to quickly show 100 grab that. i want to grab
8:08 am
it. check this out. grabbed alejandra. he just fill this up partially just for his equipment. $26. just for that. there's says we've got proof, right? there are $26 just to fill that up. and it's not going to get better any time soon. in fact, take a look at your screen. these are some of the gas prices that you're waking up to this morning in the bay area. and these are just average prices, $6. and $0.32 and napa 6.31. in san francisco, 6.18, and oakland 6.26. and santa rosa were well above $6, of course. and then just to make us feel worse. the national average is $4 and $0.60. so that's flat out stealing compared to what we're paying for california, the home of the highest gas prices. and it's going to get worse before it gets better because i hate to tell you this. summer blend in california, that's going to cost another maybe 5 to $0.10
8:09 am
