across the street and catty corner to the scene itself will step out of the way here. so you can see what's kind of going on from our point of view. there's police vehicles here and there's actually even more. >> just over top of the hill, as you get closer to the scene itself. but we just got an update. moments ago, we're told officers received the call just after 4.50, and they responded within about 3 minutes. that's when officers encountered the suspect and the victims on the second floor, which is where the scene itself is. there is an orthopedic office on that floor. tulsa police, i've said that for innocence were killed, which could be a combination of staff and patients here. they're still working that situation out. and the shooter was also found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, bringing that death toll to 5 total people. the shooting itself lasted roughly 5 minutes and no officers were injured. the suspect is said to be a black male between 35 and 40 years old are in that age range who had one long gun and a handgun and it is believed that both of those weapons were used in this particular incident this afternoon. we'll be sure to

keep you updated as more information is released throughout the night reporting in tulsa, austin percent. back to you. >> and another big story we continue to follow tonight. the old fire burning in napa county containment has grown to 30% now and the burn area remains at 570 acres. residents there were able to return to their homes after evacuation orders were lifted overnight. the old fire as it's called, was first reported at soda springs road yesterday afternoon around 3, 30 firefighters say they held a fired a 570 acres overnight. it didn't grow in size. no injuries have been reported so far. no structures have been damaged. officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation. >> and now to some developing news out of benicia. fire crews are working to put out a 2 alarm vegetation fire. this is happening at lake herman and industrial. this is video from a live camera in that area. as you can see, black smoke is visible. police are

asking people to avoid this area as the firefighters tried to get a handle on the flames and we will continue to keep an eye on it as well and bring you any updates as are necessary. >> some bay area organizations and agencies are among those which we'll share 118 million dollars in local wildfire prevention grants calfire made that announcement today. cal fire says 144 local fire prevention projects along with the more than 100 funded last september will help local communities get ready for wildfire. but the news isn't all good. in fact, a bipartisan group of state legislators say that. >> cal fire is ill-equipped to battle this summer's wildfires due to severe under staffing now hoping new legislation will get the votes in the governor. sign off to change all of that on first-and kerman reports. the human cost is being felt. >> month without downtime. desperate calls for mental health, broken marriages and

suicide. >> cal fire captain liz brown joins state lawmakers from both sides of the aisle wednesday to support legislation that will cal fire is staffed. they say while california's population has doubled since the mid 70's cal fire hasn't kept up. cal fire has the same amount. it's not less fire engines and less personnel. and we did in the 1970's, the legislation would add 356 full-time firefighters. so each engine could have 3 firefighters aboard. right now, the only way to achieve that is through mandatory overtime, which is taking its toll many times. they're deployed 40 60 days in a row without a single day off. >> and they're deployed an incredibly traumatic conditions. and what we know working these long, 40 to 60 days in a row away from their families is leading to significant stress and mental health challenges among the cal fire firefighting force senate bill 10, 60 to help save the lives of the men and

it's that time of the afternoon get that offshore flow that turns shore breeze and >> here we go. we've got those winds kicking in right now to 70 miles an hour near the fire in oak knoll 14 mile an hour. more of a southerly component of the napa area. and of course, we just had that fire now just to get underway in the nation. we're seeing that delta breeze kicking in that direction. so i want to check on some of those conditions as well. and they are consistently seen that when 2, they've got a 17 mile an hour west southwesterly wind that will blow that smoke further down the road. so you get a place like a pittsburgh bird landing in those areas. got to watch out for some that smoke tonight. and of course, in around this active fire has really looking toward a the mountain ranges. you can see all the canyons there, though. factor in the fire overnight tonight, the winds likely to calm down a bit. still some of that smoke lingering and then as we head through the evening, you see right now we've got a pretty good on shore. push sending most of that smoke over the place like vacaville and winters over the hills. there across town speak. but then over the evening hours, well, things begin to change. those winds begin to calm down. all of a sudden you start to see some

of that smoke, phil, into the valleys. we are expecting those winds tonight to a decrease and that's some of that smoke to make its way inside the napa valley overnight. and then tomorrow afternoon, i think gustier winds by the afternoon, some of those gusts 20 to 30 miles per hour. thank you, lawrence. hope san francisco's city attorney says that he is taking new action to protect women in the event. the u.s. supreme court strikes down the roe v wade abortion law kron four's. catherine heenan is here to explain the alliance that he's created with the help of some local attorneys. catherine. >> yes, city attorney david chiu says the san francisco legal community is stepping up to help women who might lose the right to legally seek an abortion. also, the doctors who provide those services chew held a news conference outside city hall today to announce what's being called the legal alliance for reproductive rights and the legal problems. women and providers could face. he says, will be handled by a battalion of local lawyers ready to help

falls apart tomorrow. looking good. we'll see some sunshine, some high clouds up above and some patchy fog down below. but otherwise looking good. but look what sitting off the coastline. you see the big blob way out here in the distance right there. that was going to start to factor in that catches. the low pressure center starts to develop as we get into friday, still dry. but a lot of clouds moving through. and then here we go by saturday. boy, it starts to get really iffy by saturday night. i think some showers moving into the north bay on saturday night and then watch what happens as we get into sunday. yep. that drops right down across the bay area and brings a nice little soaker to much of northern california about rain amounts. well, this all works out to some pretty impressive for a june. in fact, some of models painting over an inch of rain in eureka from that system. how about that in the san francisco? maybe a quarter of an inch that be very, very impressive. sacramento, almost to 10. it's going to wait and see on that one. but still impressive. this system comes through. it looks more and more possible. that system will bring some rain drops to the bay area.
