to the world, now you know. so sound the alarm. >> from the bay area's local news station. we now with breaking news that breaking news coming out of the east bay. tonight. some residents in albany are being told to evacuate because of a brush fire that's burning. >> on the west side of albany hill. this is video courtesy of the citizen app. officials say that this fire is burning near cleveland and washington avenues berkeley fire says all 7 of their engines are working. this fire along with both alameda county and oakland fire departments. the city of albany says that residents and gave you hillside and tap streets need to evacuate golden gate fields has been designated as the evacuation site. we have a

crew on the way to the scene and we will, of course, update you as more information becomes available. now to our top story tonight, pride after a two-year pandemic pause, san francisco's pride parade returning today. this year's event marking both celebration and protest. good evening and thank you for joining us tonight at 6. i'm dan thorn. the nation in the world continued their pride celebrations. today. people in san francisco gathering for the annual pride parade down market street this year was special for several reasons. kron four's charles clifford has more. >> well, here along market street on sunday, san francisco pride parade has returned. the parade is actually the culmination of a months-long series of events for san francisco pride. there have been block parties concerts over the last couple of weeks. the parade actually hasn't happened for 3 years since 2019. that's because of the coronavirus pandemic along market street on sunday. lots of people just happy to be

back. we are so glad to be back. absolutely. and you just see everybody here. you know, i have the whole. >> experience. yeah. it's my first time. so. >> there's also a sense of purpose here. a lot of frustration with recent decisions by the u.s. supreme court. it's very that it's bringing everyone together. you know, in. love, but also coming together to protest. and it's like cool to see everyone else that like agrees and like everyone that's protesting. hear about that as well as prime community needs to get together an exhibit like this. a lot. >> and there were one big community. >> well, the parade ran from the florida market up the civic center there. also concerts and other events throughout the day here on sunday. but for now in san francisco, charles clifford kron, 4 news. >> all right. well, elected officials were among the thousands of people taking part in the pride parade today, state assembly member matt haney was there with his supporters, hayne tweeting in part, quote, today we

francisco of carl was in goblin. everything up, karl. the fog really just sort of rolling through over the past couple of days. kron 4 meteorologist mabrisa rodriguez joining now the temperatures that we experience today. but recent. yeah, and not only that, but we're also tracking a fire as well in the bay area in albany. but today's daytime highs. >> a rinse and repeat pattern from yesterday's dan downtown, san francisco. 63 degrees. >> mid-nineties once again for livermore and conquered. so if you loved or hated yesterday's forecast yet you saw the same ground. how day forecast today as well. here's a live look in the east bay over berkeley. fortunately, we are getting some more of that on shore flow out there. so conditions over in the oakland area, certainly going to improve, especially for firefighters battling that albany fire. oakland currently in the mid 60's out there right now. and downtown san francisco in the low 60's. thanks that cool onshore flow. but we're still tracking hot temperatures inland livermore trying to

flirt with 90 but 89 degrees as he's conquered. and even those of you in our north bay valleys, a big sit 60's 70's. but check out nevada, one fairfax in the low to mid 80's there with overnight lows. widespread 50's. but for those of you in san jose and even in antioch, you're going to cool down in the 60's. but temperatures tomorrow once again going to be on the toasty side. so we're going to be above average. find out when relief is going to write to the bay area. my full forecast in just a few minutes. dan, back to you. are immigrants were looking forward to that? thank you. >> on now to some other news tonight, 3 people are dead. 5 others injured after an amtrak train struck a car at a private crossing in brentwood this afternoon. this happened around 1 o'clock on or would road one of those injured was a child. they had to be airlifted to a local hospital. their condition right now not known. the railway is currently closed, train traffic as police are investigating what happened? well, the beaches in pacific grove near monterey are back open following a shark attack

that happened last week. the attack happening at lovers point beach on wednesday, a swimmer was bitten in the arm leg and stomach. that person is expected to be okay, though, on their facebook page, the pacific grove police department is warning people to exercise caution when in the ocean they say there is always a chance that a shark may come close to the shore. now to some more breaking news tonight. some scary moments at the sf pride festival just a short time ago. we're getting this new information in at about 5.25, police responded to reports of a possible shooting near 7th and market streets. that's about a block away from where today's parade ended. police now telling us that they were unable to locate any victims or witnesses at this time. and it appears that there was not a shooting that happened in the area. police did have to shut down the celebration early as a result and they're asking people to avoid the area as we continue to get more information on this. we will, of course, be covering it on

air and online. now the bart fares where they're going to be going up starting this friday. the 3.4% increase originally set to go into effect back on january. 1st. but it was delayed by 6 months. the cost of a one-way ticket. we'll go up between $5 and $0.50 with the average ticket going up between $0.15. it's rather this 5 and 5.15 cents and then $0.50 could be the the highest amount money from the fare increase will be going towards bart's operating budget, including enhanced cleaning a greater police presence and the purchase of new train cars. gas prices here in the bay area still sky high. as you're seeing here, the highest prices reported are in napa regular gallon of gas is going for 6.58. that's about $0.13 cheaper well, it's actually $0.13 cheaper here in san francisco and santa rosa, the average price is down to about $6.43. the cheapest gas in the bay area. going to be in the fairfield area up in

berkeley over the hills there. when tracker for though, going to track northwesterly winds out there right now. >> but we are going to see a change in wind direction. going to get more of that cool sea breeze influenced by later tonight. in addition to that calmer winds and also with that marine layer in place, it's going to add some much needed moisture to the driest hills over the areas of berkeley. but let's take a look at temperatures out there right now. quite the spread of antioch in the low 90's with downtown san francisco in half moon bay. 58 degrees a little bit more than a 30 degree difference out there right now this evening with high temperatures tomorrow. still going to be hot inland, low 90's for livermore in concord. 91 degrees with low 90's. for those of you in nevado in the north bay. but san jose in the mid 80's with mid 70's for oakland, seasonal temperatures right along the coast. thanks to that marine layer influence but air quality tomorrow going to be a little bit hazy. moderate air particles for most of the bay area. and we will really see relief in the bay area until later next
