minnesota lawmakers killing one and her husband learning more about the suspect. thank you for joining us here on kron. 4 news at noon. i'm justine waldman going to start with some national news today as president trump is ordering ice to ramp up arrests and cities that are run by democrats. >> this is coming after several days of protests. kron four's joey horta is in san francisco with the latest. >> the president calling for the largest mass deportation in history, which would include large cities run by democrats. that would include san francisco. governor newsom chiming in this morning posting on social media, quote, his plan is clear incite violence and chaos and blue states happening skews to militarize our city's demonizes opponents. keep breaking the law and consolidate power. this comes after several days of protests, including here in the bay area, white house

deputy chief of staff stephen miller saying ice will attempt to make at least 3,000 arrests today. a lot more than the current average of 6.50, a day, according to the associated press, the national guard hit the streets of la friday to protect federal personnel and buildings. >> well, the protests is if we didn't have the national guard on call readings, they were drips. plus angeles, apart. and jacket they say is the national guard going to be there and of the national guard think they don't even show that's completely unnecessary. total waste of our tax dollars that are being >> i just think it should be happening. people >> what the president is also doing a reverse course on immigration raids at restaurants hotels and farms saying those industries would be hit hard by ice arrests. state senator scott wiener introducing new legislation to prevent law enforcement from wearing masks to conceal their identity, calling it the no secret police at. meanwhile,

appeals court could decide on tuesday whether president or the governor should have control of the california national guard. in san francisco. joey horta kron. 4 news. >> meanwhile, protests against president trump's immigration crackdown continue in east san jose. hundreds gathered on sunday at the same area where ice agents were first spotted in the bay area earlier this year. this is a common sight lately around the nation calling for immigration enforcement officials to halt the arrests of undocumented families. they say that they stand in solidarity with los angeles. and remember what's also happening here at home? >> they're breaking the there is no law in this country anymore. no law. and so we have to protect our people that we're paying attention 100% worried. >> what that we can't be paralyzed by >> the protest also causing change in the south bay. just last week, hundreds of requests. >> came to the.

>> after hundreds of requests. the san jose city council granted around a million dollars in its new its budget to fund legal aid for migrant families in the east bay. the fbi is searching for 3 people accused of assaulting federal officers outside of immigration court in concord. this came and this is coming after ice detained for asylum seekers last week that led to a protest. the fbi is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to one woman's arrest. who's accused of stealing an agent's badge that was very busy weekend nationwide as people took to the streets for the no kings protest against the trump administration. saturday also marked the 200 50th anniversary of the u.s. army which coincided with the president's birthday kron four's. lindsey ford has the story now from san francisco. >> since 17, 76 in united states and yes, queen's are standing together. >> i'm standing outside. the war hard organizers have

>> later in the day, trump supporters showed up and were booed by the crowd. >> protesters made a dancer code to celebrate each other. in san francisco. lindsey ford kron. 4 news. >> a silver alert for a missing elderly woman who was last seen in antioch. as the chp says. 74 year-old ruth ruthie lindsay was spotted sunday afternoon. she's described as 5 feet, one inch tall 130 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. lindsay was wearing a black jacket and a cream colored shirt and is believed to be on foot. authorities are urging anyone who sees her to call 9-1-1. the manager of a san francisco bakery known for its extra-large croissants, says that they were broken into and robbed slobber. a bakery announced on instagram that the castro location was targeted on friday night. they

say someone took their safe along with the register's tablets and money. and that's not only location in the city that's struggling earlier this month. the sf ferry building location was told that its lease at the building would not be renewed. san jose is moving forward with plans to clear out a large encampment of homeless people and try to prevent them from returning sweeps are planned starting today. that's june 16th going on until june. 30th. this is along the guadalupe river from west taylor street to highway 8.80. the city had planned to clear columbus park at the end of the year. but they cite safety concerns for now clearing it next month. they expect to finish these sweeps by october and then they'll implement know encampment zones to keep people from setting up camps again. >> a look outside here from gate bridge on the monday. we got no fog or clouds block interviewed. let's check in now with our meteorologist kyla grogan for what's happened. and hey there. little break from the june

gloom, right? we've got sunshine already happening here in san francisco. you can see got breezy conditions, though, today, too, starting already this morning, the wind kind of started kicking up today, mostly sunny, unless you're at the coastline and they're going to have a little bit of a tricky kind of forecast for you tomorrow. warmer little morning fog to that afternoon. sun looking ahead, wednesday looks like the warmest day of the week and it does look like that marine layer kind of compresses as we get that high pressure in place. you can certainly see right now we're getting some beautiful clearing as we look at our coastline, even especially the north bay right now looking pretty good. but if we take a look at the wind, well, that has gotten going, as i mentioned, 18 mile per hour, sustained wind right now in san francisco. you can see even over in concord, 14 hayward, same story. temperatures. 57 in san francisco and out of half moon bay. but if you head inland to take a look, concord already at 70 degrees are at 72 in pittsburgh. 73 in fairfield made it to the 70 degree mark in nevada. already too little cooler in the south bay. and i mentioned the tricky forecast for the coast. so today i think it will be tough for

you. we may get a little sunshine later in the day. i do think later in the week, though, spots like half moon bay are likely to get some of that sun as we kind of get going with our high pressure building in. but today it will be all about kind of seasonal temperatures. if you are inland, you can see we're looking for some of those 80's in spots again, like conquer that are already pretty warm. 64 in san francisco staying cooler out at the coastline. but some, you know, nice kind of temperate weather for us today. tomorrow, little bit more of the same except we start to warm it up. and as i mentioned by wednesday, we're looking out for upper 80's, even 90 degrees inland. some 70's around the bay and some 60's out that those that we our warmest day of the week. i'll be back in a bit. we'll talk more about your 7 day forecast. well, after nearly 2 days on the run, police say they have arrested the man accused of killing a minnesota lawmaker and wounding another news nation's brooke shafer. reports. >> after nearly 2 days on the run, police say they've captured vance bolter the man they believe shot 2 minnesota lawmakers and their spouses

and those gusts are going to continue as we go throughout the afternoon and evening. so that's been a story that's kind of stuck with us and continues this week of gusty wind. but the sunshine looking good from the east bay here as we take a live look, i'm waiting for the day that i can see my golden gate bridge again, we haven't quite gotten there yet. but today looking out for 68 degrees in oakland. 72 is the average. we're getting close to that. and if you head inland, we're actually going to get kind of at or above some of the average temperatures in the reason for that is we've got high pressure that's starting to kind of show itself as we roll over the next few days. now, notice there is a little low pressure to our north. that will start to be a part of our forecast as we get into the end of the week. that's when we'll start to cool it down. but between now and wednesday, it's all about that high pressure kind of building those temperatures up. and if we look at our inland temperature trends here, notice today, you know, seasonal and then tomorrow inland, kind of getting above average by wednesday. well, above average, and they're going to pull it back again as that low pressure to the north of us kind of comes into play. that will start to break the high pressure and then things

changed again. so there's a low that will cool us down later in the week. here are the highs right now. the kind of see there the have that clockwise circulation around them. and that's what's kind of keeping us sunnier and warmer as we roll through the first part of our week. and you really see that as we take a look at the whole state and you start to see that that marine layer has really started to pull away in places that are quite tricky, right? get along the peninsula coastline. that's the one where we usually get those clouds really sticking. and some of them are still there. that's for sure. but i do believe the time we get to wednesday, you'll get some sunshine there, too. that's for sure. and if we could get some this afternoon even later into today and tomorrow. so here's the forecast. next. 7 days looking pretty good. we warm it up through wednesday. we're going to start to cool down again as we head towards the weekend. but notice nothing terribly extreme in the next 7 days. just kind of a nice seasonal forecast where we move it up a little bit as we get through the middle of the week. we don't stay there very long. so if you don't like the heat inland, don't worry because by the time we get to thursday, we're going to cool back down for you. >> president trump is calling

for iran and israel to make a deal is new fighting between the 2 countries now enters its 4th day. iran fired a new wave of missiles overnight in retaliation for israel's attacks on military and nuclear infrastructure. washington correspondent maddie beer-temple reports on the latest in the region and has reaction from dc. u.s. ambassador to israel. mike huckabee posted on x that one of those missiles from iran came close to hitting a u.s. embassy branch office. >> in tel aviv sunday night, he said there was some minor damage, but no injuries to u.s. personnel. this is the scene in israel early monday after iranian missiles hit a residential building, killing at least 5 people. >> it comes after israel attacked iran's nuclear and military sites friday aimed at preventing iran from developing a nuclear weapon. israel has a right to defend itself and i support what israel's doing to defend itself. california democratic senator adam schiff told nbc's meet the press. he does not want to see a broader war

break out in the region. think they should be very low to engage in another war. president trump posted on truth social sunday. he believes the u.s. can quote, easily get a deal done between iran and israel and end this blood conflict. i think it's going to be very hard to come out of this and have a negotiated settlement. kentucky republican senator rand paul told nbc sunday the u.s. should stay out of it and it's not the us's job to be involved in this war. one of things i like about president trump as he has shown restraint. meanwhile, president trump plans to meet with world leaders in canada for the g 7 summit. the president of the european commission said iran can never have a nuclear weapon. he won is the principal source of regional instability. now talks were scheduled to happen sunday between the u.s. and iran about iran's nuclear program. >> but those were called off after israel's attacks in washington. i'm maddie beer-temple. >> well, its turning up and taking 10 ease the effects of depression. look at the study.

state legislature. the bill is sb 627. if passed. it would prohibit law enforcement from concealing their identity with a face covering such as like a gator. the bill would apply the law enforcement at all levels from covering their faces while conducting operations in the state of california. the bill also mandates officers to be identifiable was some type of name on their uniform or b wearing a badge. politicians say this is to tackle the trump administration's aggressive steps to go after people. they say it is a matter of increasing public trust with law enforcement. the longwood exempt swat teams. it would also exempt medical masks used in wildfires are a natural disasters. here's more. >> is very important and timely proposal to deal with the fact that we are seeing more and more law enforcement officers, particularly at the federal be in our community.

these ice raids could mean for business and our food supply. agriculture secretary brooke rollins relayed those concerns to president trump, according to our dhs sources who also say ice has now been directed to largely pause raids and arrests in the agriculture industry, hotels and restaurants. president trump last week on truth, social and at the white house teased changes were coming for a group that helped get him elected. our farmers are being hurt badly by. >> you know, they have very good worked for him for 20 years. they they're not citizens, but they've turned out to be, you know, great. and we're going to do something about that. this new directive to pause raids at hotels, restaurants and farms comes after ice agents arrested more than 70 undocumented immigrants at a nebraska food plant last week deemed the largest workplace enforcement operation in the state since president trump took office. >> agriculture secretary rollins said she and president trump's support deportations while also recognizing

this in the bay area, which is good news here. but you can see we do have a kind of close to us in the sierra does not include tahoe, but it is throughout today until 11 o'clock tonight. and just to show you this kind of measures, the ingredients of fire danger. i want to take you through the day today. you can see how parts of nevada and certainly parts of the sierra and many parts of southern california are dealing with those things all coming together today make that fire danger happened. and while we don't have that in the bay area, you do see a little bit of yellow that pops up. so it's just an indication that at this time of year as we dry out that we have to be careful. it also, you know, we don't like june gloom, but boy, that moisture recovery at night is sure helpful when it comes to fire season. you can see we're getting some sunshine starting to pop up now here from the east bay where we did start off a little foggy and a little gray. 59 degrees right now. as you can see, current conditions here in oakland. we're not too bad quite yet there, which is good. 57 degrees right now in san francisco. you can see we are warming it up as we get particularly into spots like nevada, where it's 72 or fairfield and pittsburgh,

where up to about 73. so we're on our way to a day that is going to be either at or slightly, maybe above average by a degree or 2 as we head into our inland spots and then pretty seasonal elsewhere. right? looking about 64 in san francisco, some nice 70's to about 80 degrees up in the north bay and the south bay looking out for anywhere from about 73 in san jose to about 82 down in morgan hill. so the next couple of days we will see a warm-up progressively into wednesday. that will be the warmest day of the week that we're all going to be above average. does not last too long, though. we do start to cool down. right on the other side of that, i'll show you that your seven-day forecast in just a bit. well, a push to reclaim car pack streets is gaining momentum through what's called sunday streets. it's a family-friendly event hosted by the nonprofit bull city. and this year, one of the chosen locations was. >> right in the heart of san francisco's tenderloin kron four's lindsey ford reports.

it's a joy to see children who never seen live horses before actually physically be able to touch them to be able to ride them and just see the joy on their faces when they have this experience. so we're all so very excited and looking forward to it. have you participated in juneteenth celebrations in hayward before us is the first time your organization will represented there. this is actually the second time that our organization has partnered with the city of hayward and the black cowboy you the flame. a horse is out. so we're i think we're even more excited this year because last year was a great start. and i will be there a little bit longer and we'll have more horses this time, horses and ponies this time. >> is that because last year the demand was so high, you just saw that the more we bring, the more kids we can re. absolutely. there was a bit of a line because there was so much excitement for the

children to come out and ride. and so we want to make sure that every child or adult, regardless of age or ability is able to have an opportunity to spend time with the horses. what have you noticed after a kid? gets there gets to be with the horse of the pony. what do you see in their eyes are on their faces about how what that meant to them. they light up and it's there are some children who they seem courses on the television or they may have seen a picture and a book. and so to actually be able to >> touch them. and and feel their bodies and to ride just that a media, joy that takes place. but what happens after is for some of them, they develop a genuine interest and want to spend time outside of those events and some of them have actually taking up wine related activities and gotten into horseback riding or actually competing. so that's

our meteorologist kyla grogan. yeah, we like these blue skies. i know because of a little break to see the blue skies. so really, i want to take a look across the street. the state. you can see that we are. >> you know, inner spots getting up to the upper 80's right now or even up to about 88 in fresno. 69 santa barbara. 72 in los angeles. and as we take a look here, you can see that would cut a very care from a lot of the marine layer, just kind of pulling away today from our coastline, still hanging on in some spots. but still, it's a little bit of a nicer look that we've had in a while. when we take a look at stormtracker, you can see it just dissipating. >> and rolling right away. and that's certainly the case of the golden gate bridge here. we've had a break pretty early from any of that marine layer temperatures showing that we are in the 50's still in san francisco in out at the coast. we are in the 60's as we head inland and verging on getting into the 70's in spots. if you've already made its santa rosa very close there at 69. and as we look at our highs today, it will be a pretty nice day out there about 64 in san francisco. 67 in oakland, but you head inland to spot like napa for 80 degrees and

we could get up to 85 in antioch, 70, freeman system. really nice temperatures right around itself. ok, big picture wise. we've got some high pressure kind of in control. and that's what's going to keep our weather pretty nice this week. but notice there is a low pressure system to the north of us. so after we could have that peak and temperatures on wednesday, that low pressure system doesn't make it down to us. but it has an influence on cooling our temperatures a little bit. you see a little of that precipitation making it into the far reaches of notthern california as we get towards the weekend. that is what will help to bring our temperatures down. even though we won't participate in any of the rain from that, that stays well well to the north of us, which you can see the ride of temperatures, right? so we warm it up a little bit today. more tomorrow where we get kind of seasonal and then we go well above average on wednesday. that's gonna be the warmest day of the week. but by thursday because we've got that low pressure kind of moving in in bumping that high pressure out of the way. temperatures come down and notice they do get kind of cool as we get into friday. so that will start to see that marine layer bill back in as well. but for the next couple of days here, we should have a
