thanks for being with us tonight for kron. 4 news at 6. i'm grant lotus and i'm noelle bellow, high winds and low humidity. >> making for an elevated risk of wildfires in parts of the bay area. some east bay communities have been without power since yesterday due to this dangerous weather will get more specific. this is pg e's current outage map. the areas that you see in purple. >> have no power preemptively shut off by the utility. got communities in parts of alameda contra costa and santa clara counties pg e does this. of course, wren you have the high winds, the low humidities, you have the tree limb fallen power lines and all the sudden you could have a big fire. officials say they hope to turn the power back on tomorrow afternoon. >> and we'll take a peek outside here and get a look at boy, some. >> dry hills there leading up to the top of mount diablo. yeah, this camera doesn't really show the wind factor that we've been talking about. but if you've been outside at all, you can probably feel it

right down. yeah, specially in the highest peaks but coast, for example. >> great plus 3 over the last couple of days and that when looks like it will stick around italy saturday. but the 2nd half of your weekend, it looks like those winds back off. now we do have fire watches here and warnings rather hear this has been upgraded from a fire. watch a red flag warning over by the sacramento area down to the central valley in fresno and even the sierra. and this does include fairfield and vallejo for parts of the bay area and our coverage area. this is saturday morning until sunday morning. >> so here's a fire weather models. so this is 6 o'clock right now. and as you can see, the map is lit up in yellow and orange. so that does indicate a slight to moderate risk of some brush fires. and as i take you into the overnight hours, it backs off just a bit. but as we get back into the daytime heating tomorrow, it lights up back in yellow. so we could see some parts of santa rosa in the north. they could have some the east bay. so and the sacramento area. so right around when that red flag warning kicks in, breezy out

there. and here's san francisco. these are just some of the peak wind gusts in some midnight. 56 miles per hour over at the altamont. and that is over by where this psps is. our near livermore and a pretty gusty out there. bodega bay, a 51 miles per hour. here are the current numbers. we are breezy at the surface. 23 miles per hour in san francisco in 26 in oakland's, you can only imagine the hills and we're also cooling down, especially the north bay, santa rosa, europe, 5 degrees yesterday was really that major cool down. so we're going to hold on to the 70's for saturday. gradually warm up to the low 80's sunday monday. but that wind will stick around saturday. when i come back up, we'll have the rest of your 7 day forecast because we do look pretty seasonal. back to you. thank you, gayle. the national weather service has issued a red flag warning for parts of solano county, which includes allay and fairfield and kron four's. rob nesbitt is following the weather threat. >> there are several factors contributing to friday's red-flag warning. >> high winds, low humidity and extremely dry vegetation.

fire officials want the public to be vigilant this year. many of you have the temps are climbing into records in the bay area that we're experiencing windy conditions to end the workweek. santa rosa chief fire marshal paul lowenthal says firefighters are keeping an eye on just how strong winds get into the weekend. really, the concern is just with how dry things are those strong north northeast winds. >> he's definitely leading to the increase. fire danger this weekend with a high risk of wildfires pg e has conducted public safety power shut-offs in alameda contra costa and santa clara counties. alameda county battalion fire chief ken carlin says you can see how flammable vegetation is right now. just by driving around the bay area. can our fuels line, flashy fuels and grasses and small shrubbery. >> sot cured. ready to go. so with that concern, if you're familiar with eastern alameda county that spurred on a show model, it's there. it's why this large wildfire in antioch burned wednesday evening causing evacuation warnings, structures and homes were spared from the flames. lowenthal knows that's not

what did they think is next step in this issue? >> this comes one day after an appeals court allowed the president president trump to keep control of the national guard troops. deployed in response to protests over the rates despite opposition from governor newsom. community members joined politicians and law enforcement leaders in san francisco today to call for an end to anti-jewish. hate in the city is kron four's. dan kerman reports recent attacks and acts of vandalism are not just increasing nationwide, but in the city as well. this is a time of great fear. >> in the jewish community, but the message today is one of solidarity and it is one of strength. >> jewish leaders in san francisco, we're joined by the mayor, other political leaders, law enforcement and community members to call out an increase of hate and violence targeting jewish people both across the nation and in san francisco, we must all come together to stand with jewish community. >> to condemn anti-semitism.

the bottom line is hate has no place in san francisco. we are not going to stand for it. just this month. the group's peeling anti-jewish hate attacked a man in san francisco's marina district and then he's in the mission was subjected vandals who broke into the building and scrolled anti-jewish hate messages across the walls. i'm not the only throughout history was had messages on the wall saying you don't belong here. but there's a dark tide of anti-semitism that is covering our country and its shadow as we start city. san francisco cannot allow this to happen. we have to stand against that because it is in our blood to be a city that welcomes everyone. >> those at friday's rally say while the anti-jewish hate coming from the right is easy to identify, similar hate from the left is harder to spot, but just as toxic and destructive, it has to end. >> and jews need to stand up and be proud and not hide. and

weather here is the wind forecast. the map lit up in red and some purple in there. once again, this does indicate anywhere from 25 to even 40 plus miles per hour. wind gusts intensifies once again tomorrow throughout the day, especially in the late afternoon and evening. that's why we some fire weather. we're keeping an eye on the 2nd half of your weekend sunday. looks we see a break from the winds down to the single digits over at the surface. so the relative humidity, as you can see as we get into the daytime heating 9% in a vacaville tomorrow. that's why there's that red flag warning in parts of solano county. that includes a vallejo fairfield as well. and you can see why in our future cast model. we don't have any cloud cover to help with the moisture out there overnight and into tomorrow. so we'll be sunny. it will be breezy. we'll be waking up to some 50's and it will be warming up to the 70's and 80's and believe it or not, we're cool, right? but today marks the first day of summer. exactly at 7.42. this evening. so this
