skies. be on that. we go down to the golden gate bridge. we can't see the towers. not at all. you wouldn't even know what their their right look at thick, the gray. been overcast. skies, but it ad is clear skies. no surprise. this is so typical this time of year to have clouds and fog at the coast and then pushing inland. look at this by midday, pretty much back to the coastline. and then by 5.30, uses big thing or a fog going right through the golden gate and by sunset tonight at 8.35. 0, wow. it's really across more of the bay area. wait to see what happens tomorrow morning is stretching all the way through the delta. it actually start to head toward sacramento. so it's just a big blanket of fog. the marine layer is much more impressive tomorrow than it is today. have you that the bay area's been little bit windier than usual these days? 2025 is abnormally windy as it turns out and we're set. if oakland verifies it's set to set a record for the windiest month of june ever in oakland, of
8:46 am
course, we're not at the end of the month yet, but that they're on track to set that record and many areas are seeing record-breaking winds as well. the gusts in oakland 34.23 mile per hour gusts and that beats the old record by 4 mile per hour gusts. so high temperatures yesterday it was on the cool side. how do we do today? it's beautiful. not quite that we've had a 70 yet in the city, but 69 degrees in san francisco downtown. and then at the beaches, it's beautiful beach weather. look at that numbers in the 60's for the most part, low 60's to mid 60's pacifica. 65 the peninsula. warming up to the 70's mid 70's in millbrae at 74. it had south and of course, it's a little bit warmer. 82 in palo alto, 84 in mountain view, we hit some 90's. 0, yes, we do. so. 89 in milpitas, 89 for la status. morgan hill 90. we also see some 92 degree temperatures out of pleasanton. on the other hand, hayward is 80 and

8:48 am
holiday to absolutely. and i love the fresh fruits and vegetables that are out right now. so why not celebrate that? while we're celebrating our country? yeah, let's do it. we'll do that. so. most of us are either going some place and we have to bring a side dish or were hosting. some of these dishes are great for either one. so whatever you have to do, i know a lot of us are going to have our hamburgers and our hot dogs. that seems to be the the american thing to so if you're already have your hot dogs and hamburgers may be some checkin. these are the perfect side dishes that will cover all of your favorite. this is there. so we're going to start with a red, white and blue berry coleslaw. about i just that my head, ok, i know it's a fun one and it's delicious because it has a lot of delicious components that i think are fresh and fun. we're gonna start off with our shredded. cabbage has shredded mind. but of course, you can get it at the store already done for years. so that's ok. the next thing we're going to add to make it the red is i've
8:49 am
got some crunchy onions and that that's going to be our red. >> but we're going to little more would you like to add the bacon? there we go. bacon is always fun to have in any type of style it. so i have some crispy bacon. i'm also going to add some chopped pecans little more crunch and flavor. and before i at the blueberries, i'm gonna add my sauce here, which is something i like to do myself. yes, actually buy it. this is am a's a little at apple cider vinegar and some sugar. very, very common use of a u.s. coast lot dressing. so i mean that at that to the salad, i'm going mix it and i'm going to get it coated really well. and you can make this salad a little advance couple of hours. it will just get better as the dressing goes on it and then here comes the blueberries. i like to put that in towards the end. so we don't break them ice, fresh blueberry. go to your farmers
8:50 am
market. they are absolutely phenomenal. so much flavor. and then i like to save just a little bit of these because for crunch again at the end. so okay, there we go. and that's perfect to up to a picnic or even just make ahead of time. leave it in the refrigerator. love all the colors to great texture with the contests. i love this one. but if you want to do another summer favorite corn corn on the cob? absolutely fantastic. this time of year. so i already have my corn on the cob and we're going add this make this kind of a celebration of a lot of color and texture. so how have you help me make this one well? so we're going to at some cucumbers and there for some crunch. i'm also going to add some red onion because i really like the red that it's a little more mild just a regular onion. >> we're going to at some tomatoes, if you can add the tomato. yeah. and i'm also
8:51 am
going to add a little bit of feta cheese. i love is yes, time we can have some sell at a she's x, i'm not. and then this stressing is just a little bit of extra virgin olive oil. some fresh lemon juice and a little bit of comment just to add a little bit of extra flavor. you don't need a lot for this one because they're so much flavor and texture and that and we're just going to mix this together. and this is another one you can make this in the morning ahead of time and then bring it to wherever you're going or just bring it out at the last minute. but look at the color, the texture, the crunch totally celebrating everything that's great about summer. yes, i love that. so these are 2 great salads. but how about some dessert? always have room for dessert. a still so i know a lot of us like to have cupcakes, but i do. we really want to warm up the oven and have mentioned hot.
8:52 am
so i made no big lemon cheese cakes and meanwhile fa why not, right? right. so filling and this is just cream. cheese condensed milk and a little bit us all feel that a sugar just a little bit. and i let it set up in the refrigerator for a couple hours. so you want to make this a little bit earlier in the day and now we're going to decorate it with again, some more summer fruit. i made some blueberry and raspberry sauce and it's just something i put on the stove. okay. with a little bit of water. a little bit of lemon juice and some sugar got it. that's it took 5 minutes to make great so that we're going to decorate ares. you have blueberry sauce and hat. some beautiful raspberry sauce. and i'm just going to kind of make a little bit of a design on at okay. >> just goes get as creative as you want yeah. >> fun and it's delicious and it's good for a little bit. but all the options you've brought us today. i mean, it
8:53 am
just feels like i wouldn't feel guilty not. well, we're going to have some whipped cream. we're going a little bit. small individual ones. yeah, i'm going out alone with cream and i'm going to decorate my with a little bit of more berries. >> and even though i didn't put blueberries and mine for the color, i'm gonna put some blueberries on that. and a brass perry that's just make so fast. f and of course, alex. okay. and then of course, you're going to have your wine to go with everything. yes, and i must say if you're going to do the hot dogs hamburgers, how about a nice lighter red wine, a but if you want to go for white, i love to get my guests options. >> a sauvignon blanc, very cool, refreshing, especially when it's warm. those will go great with all of these recipes. wonderful. thank you so much. lead emmy the vineyard long for joining us with these great ideas. thank you. and happy 4th of july. happy 4th. we'll be right back.

toasty day in some inland spots. and here it is. the forecast showing the fog moving in and pulling back as the afternoon occurs and we still have the clouds and fog right at the coastline. clear through much of the inland areas. but then tomorrow, overnight tonight into tomorrow, boys, an extensive layer of clouds and fog. we go sunset tonight at 8.30. see the clouds are already in treating through the golden gate and then they start to go up the delta all the way up to sacramento by tomorrow morning. sunrise 05:50am. so it's an interesting pattern. and then it starts to pull back a little bit through the day tomorrow. so we're in for just beautiful spell of weather. and of course, it's a bit windy at the coast, not as windy as we've been seeing, though. and we also see the favored inland spots pretty windy at times. but it certainly pulls back overnight and then and regenerate again tomorrow evening. well, look at that around the altamont pass where you see the bright reds and oranges. that's really strong winds. air
9:17 am
quality is lovely. we see a lot of green dots which means good air quality. maybe it maybe of yellow dot there for fairfield, but the air quality forecast so far is forecast for only moderate air quality today. we'll see if that verifies. we're in for just a beautiful spell of weather. we get the night and morning clouds and fog and some drizzle. some of it lingers inland at times as we saw on the image. but we're going into slight cooling trend starting tomorrow for a couple of days. and then we warm things up. it's going to be it. a beautiful spell of weather with only subtle changes in temperatures. stephanie. one of the nation's premier jazz celebrations returns to the heart of silicon valley. the staffer jazz festival is tuned up and ready to deliver more than 6 weeks of unforgettable performances. >> featuring some of the greatest jazz artists around the world. joining us live now as vocal as tiffany austin, one of this year's feature artists to tell us what makes this year's festival a must-see. tiffany, thank you so much for joining us this

9:46 am
up towards sacramento. so it's very interesting pattern. now, yesterday we saw temperatures way below normal concord, 19 degrees cooler that it typically would be this time of year and 70 in santa rosa. so chilly chilly yesterday. we're going to make things much warmer today. now in san francisco will stay upper to mid 60's. 68 degrees in the mission and at the beaches, beautiful weather pushing low 60's to mid 60's. so beautiful in half moon bay at 63 degrees peninsula will go to low 70's 70 in brisbane as you start to head further south, we go for 83 in palo alto now. remember yesterday it was 69 degrees in san jose. we get to 87 today. well, what a jump in temperatures. and yesterday some much cooler conditions all the way across the bay area, especially the east bay. 93 in pleasanton today. look at these jump in numbers. concord yesterday, it was 70 degrees. now, 91. that's my forecast high for today. what

9:50 am
blueberries. go to your farmers market. they are absolutely phenomenal. so much flavor. and then i like to save just a little bit of these because for crunch again at the end. so okay, there we go. perfect to up to a picnic or even just to put make ahead of time. leave it in the refrigerator. love all the colors to great texture with the contests. i love this one. but if you want to do another summer favorite corn corn on the cob? absolutely fantastic. this time of year. so i already have my corn on the cob and we're going add this make this kind of a celebration of a lot of color and texture. so how have you help me make this one well? so we're going to at some cucumbers and their 10 for some crunch. i'm also going to add some red onion because i really like the red that it's a little more mild just a regular onion. >> we're going to at some tomatoes, if you can add the tomato. yeah, and i'm also
9:51 am
going to add a little bit of feta cheese. i love is yes, time we can have some sell at a she's x, i'm not. and then this stressing is just a little bit of extra virgin olive oil. some fresh lemon juice and a little bit of comment just to add a little bit of extra flavor. you don't need a lot for this one because they're so much flavor and texture and that we're just going to mix this together. and this is another one you can make this in the morning ahead of time and then bring it to wherever you're going or just bring it out at the last minute. but look at the color, the texture, the crunch totally celebrating everything that's great about summer. yes, i love that. so these are 2 great salads. but how about some dessert? always have room for dessert us so i know a lot of us like to have cupcakes, but i do. we really want to warm up the oven and have mentioned hot. so i made
9:52 am
no big lemon cheese cakes and meanwhile fa why not, right? right. so filling and this is just cream. cheese condensed milk and a little bit us all feel that a sugar just a little bit. and i let it set up in the refrigerator for a couple hours. so you want to make this a little bit earlier in the day and now we're going to decorate it with again, some more summer fruit. i made some blueberry and raspberry sauce and it's just something i put on the stove. okay. with a little bit of water. a little bit of lemon juice and some sugar got it. that's it took 5 minutes to make great so that we're going to decorate ares. you have blueberry sauce and hat. some beautiful raspberry sauce. and i'm just going to kind of make a little bit of a design on that. okay. >> just goes get as creative as you want fun and it's delicious and it's good for a little bit. but all the
