welcome back. a homeowner stabs a home invader. it happened sunday night near maryland and charleston. news 3's antonio castelan joins us live near the home and how did the criminal get inside the house and how did this one end? >> reporter: reed, the home invader broke into the house through this window. the homeowner tells us that the suspect was inside about 10, 15 minutes. arvi remmelg will never forget the time a robber was cooking sausage in his own kitchen. >> i smelled, like, cooking, like, and after that came to approach. i stab him. >> reporter: this is the pocketknife arvi remmelg used. he claims he jammed it right into the robber's chest as the robber opened his bedroom door.
