welcome to the mornings on 2. it's sunday, december 4th i'm mike mibach. >> & i'm claudine wong. >> it is chilly. 7:09 our official sunrise. we are clear and calm. so plan for that one. for the afternoon we will drop temperatures a little bit. we do remain dry. in fact, no rain in the extended forecast. we will show you that extended forecast. just show you who is at their chilliest coming up. we are still gathering details on an overnight shooting in richmond that sent a guard to the hospital. allie rasmus has been talking to police about what exactly happens. she joins us live with what she has learned. >> reporter: right now richmond police are looking for the suspect in a shooting that
happened earlier this morning at the pacific east mall. police responded to shoots being fired just after 1:00 this morning. police tell us the victim is a security guard that works for that bar. police say he was shot but is in stable condition and is expected to recover. police have had a chance to talk to him already and other witnesses at the scene. they told police that the suspect in the shooting got angry at the guard and then shot him after the security guard asked the suspect to leave. this was right around closing time at 1:00 this morning. this is the second shooting in richmond just this weekend. yesterday afternoon a 46-year- old man was fatally shot as he walks down griffin drive. police have not released the name of that victim just yet. they do have a person of interest in custody in connection with that shooting that happened yesterday afternoon in broad daylight. the weekend violences on the heels of a meeting and a crime
victim remembrance ceremony. there have been 26 homicides this year and richmond. there were 21 homicides in all of last year. the crime rate has improved in this city compared to two years ago in 200947 people were kill -- in 2009, 47 people were killed in violence that year. police are supposed to give us information on the vehicle that was seen leaving the scene of the shooting that happened this morning. we'll have more information on that for you about a half hour from now. live in richmond allie rasmus. new this morning all lanes of highway 101 are back open after a fatal collision involving a bicyclist. the bicyclist was hit just before 11:00 last night. just north of broadway. all lanes were closed for an hour as highway patrol investigated the victim an adult male was pronounced dead at the scene. two people are in critical condition after thousands of
fans stormed the field at oklahoma state university. they beat the sooners last night 44-10. when the clock ran out fans swarmed the field and tore down two goal posts. 14 people were injured. two were flown to the hospital. some people were trampled. and back here at home a railing on the bleachers at at & t park collapsed last night. it happened after a celebration right after the championship game. some fans sucherred minor injuries. some suffered minor injuries. herman cain is getting out of the gop race. he held a rally where he announced he is suspending his campaign. that comes less than a week after a woman came forward to claim an extramarital affair. the one promise cain made during that atlanta rally. thousands of people were
evacuated from a city in germany so they could defuse a bomb. this was the bomb that was found last week. it was next to another bomb that had been dropped there by u.s. forces during the war. more than two dozen smaller world war ii bombs were found. officials say it would cause massive damage if it detonated. cal train was delayed. the first happened after 11:00 yesterday morning. officials say a train heading north hit a person at the california avenue station in palo alto. the second incident happened an hour later when a southbound train struck a woman just north of the menlo park station. service was slowed for several hours while both scenes were investigated. officials would not speculate if the two were accidents or
suicides. the deaths were the 15th and 16th on the cal train corridors. we have a double shooting outside of a bar. one person is dead and a 17- year-old and 23-year-old men are both under arrest. they were arrested in front of the restaurant. it started as a fistfight and one suspect came back with a handgun and shot the two men. one died at the hospital. the other is in serious condition. concord police are investigating a tragic case of animal abuse. we want to warn you some of the video is graphic. this is video from new hall park. five geese were found dead there. all with bullet wounds. our cameras spotted more injured geese. animal control was called back to that park. one animal control officer says this is the worst part of his job. >> it's not something you get used to. it's one of the reasons i'm in this profession. i like to find these people.
>> this is not the first incident. on november 9th, 17 dead geese were found. officers say all the geese were shot which is why they think the cases are connected. anyone with any information is asked to call concord police. thousands of northern california residence are still without power after high winds knocked down trees and power lines. pg&e crews have been working in santa cruz county where several lines are down. as of last night, 5700 customers are still without power. about 1,000 customers are without power in the east bay and san francisco. we are waiting to hear back from pg&e for an update this morning when they expect power to be restored. good morning, to you. 7:07. two minutes until the official sunrise. you can see here we have another beautiful morning in store. if you will step outdoors, bundle up. it is very cold out there.

a hat. new this morning it is decision day in russia. president dimitri and his wife cast their ballots in moscow for their parliamently elections. the communist party claimed that united russia party may be involved in russia fraud. now they hold a two-thirds majority in the russian parliament. george w. bush and his family remain in africa for their five-day tour of the continent. the former president, wife laura, and daughters barbara and jenna met yesterday. they traveled to an orphanage and earlier in the week the bush family flew totanus inia to promote aid awareness. 7:14. here at home president obama and the first lady will host the kennedy center honorees tonight at the white house.
this is the third year in a row the president has hosted the honorees. some included sir paul mccartny and oprah winfrey. the president and first lady will attend the official ceremony at the kennedy center after tonight's white house reception. the president will welcome steven harper to the white house. that comes a few weeks after the president met with the prime minister at the apex summit in hawaii. they plan on discussing several issues including the economy, security, and other global topics. in our election 2012 coverage a major shakeup in the gop race herman cain announced yesterday he's suspending his campaign after allegations of infidelity and sexual harassment. john roberts attended cain's announcement and n atlanta and now reports what is next. >> reporter: with the day
starting as a barbecue and grand opening of his national campaign headquarters herman cain was smiling and june lent about his standing in the polls. >> we can say i'm in the final four. [ applause ] [ cheering ] we are in the final four. >> reporter: just minutes later an abrupt turn. the hundreds of supporters learning their candidate and campaign dubbed the cain train running out of steam. >> with a lot of prayer and soul searching i am suspending my presidential campaign. >> reporter: the announcement coming five days after an atlanta area woman claims she and cain had a long-term affair. ginger white's accusations following several women claiming sexual harassment. in a speech she denied any wrong doing calling all accusations of misconduct hurtful to his family. >> america has learned something about this process of
running for president. it's a dirty game. it's a dirty game. >> reporter: cain vowing to stay active in the political arena. calling himself a voice for the people and promising an eminent endorsement. >> they would like for me to shut up, drop out, and go away. bless their little hearts. i am not going to be silenced and i'm not going away. >> reporter: cain laying out a future plan. plan b. assuring his supporters in the crowd any endorsement won't be for any man currently in the white house. >> the chairman of the california republican party says cain's decision is a boost to the remaining candidates. >> i think he didn't want to pull the plug all at once. but as a practical matter he's out of the race. the question is who picks up
his support? and i think with the narrowing down after the first primary, we will find that out. >> he believes the republican nomination is coming down to a two person race between newt gingrich and governor rick perry. with just four weeks away from the iowa primary the feel of candidates will narrow down even more. >> reporter: cain's suspension comes as newt gingrich shows his front runner status. shows the spiker at the top of the gop field with 25% of support from likely voters. ron paul in second place with 18%. mitt romney in third place with 16%. all of the other candidates are in single digits. at least two republican candidates will not be participating in a debate moderated by donald trump. ron paul and john huntsman say

relations firm. >> 7:09 california is hoping a state auction will help raise thousands of cash. laptops, jewelries, cell phones were given to the hiest bitter. >> we don't like to hang on to things too long. >> the goal was to raise at least $100,000 at that auction. the money will be put in the states general fund. two oakland city council members want to make it easier for food trucks to operate in the city. rebecca and jane are proposing a pilot program for food truck gatherings. food trucks will be serving lunch at the plaza on tuesday where the council members plan to talk about their proposal.
storm moving across arizona is leaving fresh snow and even ice. that is causing problems on the roads there this weekend. several inches of snow dumped in the past few days in the mountains northeast of phoenix. people won't be putting away the shovels and gloves. another round of snow is expected to fall later today. >> it looks cold out there. it's clear and cold out here today. rosemary watching the weather for us today. is it going to warm up? >> it will warm up. it will be a cool day out

we will be a little cool. especially in the morning. we are looking at 30s across the board all the way through about wednesday and thursday. but we budge very little in the afternoon as well. back to you. well we want to show you the happiest place. it's decked out for the holidays. check out disney land unvailing its dazzling holiday lights. check out sleeping beauty's castle. the park includes a 60-foot christmas tree decorated with special ornaments and even the haunted mansion has special holiday decorations. they bring special music parades, and food to the magic kingdom. there we have it's a small world. they last through january 8th. san francisco firefighters and bar pilots hope bicycles will make christmas special in need. they put together 150 bicycles for children. later this month san francisco firefighters will pick up the bikes as part of their annual
toy drive. last holiday season they donated 40,000 toys to 25,000 children. >> i remember getting my first bike and it's a great feeling. there is a lot of kids that are fortunate enough to receive gifts this time of year. >> this is the 12th year in a row san francisco bar pilots have partnered with firefighters. thousands of people filled the streets of oakland for a holiday tradition. that is the sounds of the mission san jose marching band playing in this years oakland children's holiday parade. it was a great time out there. that parade featured several bands, dancers and cheerleaders from local high schools and your favorite characters from the pbs shows. santa hitched a ride as well. the holiday parade is going to air on ktvu later this month. >> good time? >> it was a great time.

shots ring out at a richmond shopping mall and a security guard in the hospital. i'm claudine wong. >> and i'm mike mibach. we have been talking with police this morning getting more details about what happened at the pacific east mall in richmond. that is where a guard was shot overnight. allie rasmus is live this morning in richmond with new information. >> reporter: that security guard as you mentioned is the victim of this shooting. he's recovering in the hospital and is expected to be okay. in fact, he's already talked to richmond police investigators about what happened early this morning. police responded to a call about shots being fired at the pacific east mall. on pierce street in richmond. and this security guard works for a bar that is located inside the mall. he told police it was just after 1:00 around closing time
when the suspect and a group of people tried to get into the bar. the guard told them to leave because they were closing and that is when witnesses say the suspect got upset with the guard and shot him. the security guard is in stable condition. in the meantime richmond police tell us they are looking for the suspects vehicle. it's described as a late model, four-door green lexus. investigators believe they have reason to suspect that the man may be heading toward oakland. this is is the second shooting in richmond just this weekend. yesterday afternoon around 1:30 a 46-year-old man was fatally shot as he was walking down the street on the 800th block of griffin street. police have not released the victims identity. police lieutenant says they do have a person of interest in police custody in connection with that shooting. fatal shooting that happened yesterday. richmond has had a total of 26 homicides this year. they had 21 homicides in all of last year. coming up in the next half hour we are hoping to talk with the police lieutenant to get more
information about this recent shooting that happened early this morning. live in richmond allie rasmus ktvu channel 2 news. new this morning several people have been arrested after riot police moved in on an occupy encampment in portland. >> you must clear the intersection. failure to do so could result in your arrest. >> officers started detaining protestors around 8:30 last night. 30 minutes after the park closed. protestors had set up tents earlier in the day even though police said overnight camping was not allowed. it was a peaceful night for occupy san francisco after a daytime march through four neighborhoods. [ music ] yesterday's march focused on the need for housing. occupy protestors called for an end to foreclosures. they also demanded fair treatment for tenants and the
homeless. protestors wound back up a the justin herman plaza. occupy l.a. protestors are back on the street. yesterday about 200 people protested outside a men's central jail. they carried signs that included drop the charges. a man's body was found at an occupy camp site at the university of north texas. the body was discovered yesterday by members of the school's police department. university spokesman says no one else was at the encampment when police arrived. the man's identity has not been revealed and an autopsy is being scheduled. the city ofays palo alto is cleaning up a dump. tomorrow the city will break ground on the project that includes creating a nature park. it will also lane up the soil which currently contains toxins such as mercury and arsenic.
this morning two families are living in temporary housing after a duplex fire in oakland. it happened around 5:20 last night on the 9300 block of walnut street. the fire started outside and quickly spread right through the two unit complex. firefighters put the flames out in minutes. no one was inside at the time of the fire. the two families will be in a nearby motel for the rest of the weekend. the cause of the fire has not been determined. oakland police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital. it happened at 6:00 last night. one person was wounded and taken to the hospital. his injuries were not life threatening. no arrests have been made. south based soldier killed in afghanistan was laid to rest. walsh that was killed in combat

decided to leaf and walk back to his house. that's when she got in a car and drove to his house and started the fire. >> i lost all of my clothes, couch, tv, dvds, personal stuff. uloses a lot of -- i lost a lot of stuff. >> they were able to put out the flames in ten minute. there is about $133,000 worth of damage. at least 77,000 people in the state are still without power. southern california was the hardest hit. a few days ago strong santa ana winds hit the area bringing down power lines. it could be a few more days before the lights come on. >> it's like camping out. >> we heard a loud roar and i looked out the upstairs window and the gazebo was actually like air lifted. >> a spokesperson said they are going door to door handing out
emergency supplies. they are providing information and answering any questions residence have about the situation. the worst might not be over for southern california residence. more dry winds are expected to develop through tuesday. the winds will increase the risk of wild fires. they are moving crews and other resources into areas that are prone to brush fires. good morning, to you. we will also see another win of rain. very calm out there. just a few high clouds outside our door. calm over at sfo. we have a light northerly breeze in santa rosa and san jose coming up from the south north westerly 3 miles an hour in fairfield. very dry out there. mostly clear skies in the overnight hours. allowing any heat to go back into space. boy are we cold. even below freezing.
in napa and santa rosa at this time. 15-20 degrees chillier than we were 24 hours ago. san jose looking at 38 outside your door. areas mountain view, palo alto, redwood city, all sitting in the mid to upper 30s. 40s for san francisco as well as oakland 45 degrees at this hour. we will see those temperatures rise. we will be a little cooler than we were yesterday. the wind will be gone for most of the day. satellite rotorua rim of high pressure over colorado. the storm track drops ease right down. they are bringing on the winds. that will happen again tonight into tomorrow morning. more on that coming up. sunny and school winds will be light. forecasted highs upper 50s for the coast. wide spread upper 50s low 60s around the bay.

why a grain elevation demolition did not go as planned. it fell in the buffalo river. glass, metal, and other debris ended up on the bottom of the water. the city moved forward with the demolition over concerns that the elevator would soon collapse. >> they did not take what would seem to be common sense precautions against this thing collapsing. >> no one was injured. the coast guard said the collapse did not cause any immediate hazards to marily time safety. >> honda recall is being expanded. the company said the driver's side air bag may deploy and send metal and plastic pieces flying which could cause injury and deaths. >> a recall is not unusual. when there is a lot of vehicles

good morning, to you. the sun is shining. blue skies over oakland this morning. 44 degrees. it's the chilly start. >> new video this morning of an unusual site on interstate 295 in florida. is a small plane landed on the highway in jacksonville late last night. some lanes of the highway had to be closed slowing down traffic. two people on board the plane were not hurt and it is not quite clear what exactly caused that pilot to land on the interstate. more than 30 people are dead and a dozen people injured after a tractor trailer slammed into a bus in brazil. he was rounding a corner heading down the hill. the bus was full of sugar cane cutters. the driver of the truck
survived the crash. and is in the hospital. and this just in. german officials announced world war ii bomb has been successfully defused. this 1.8-ton british bomb was found in a river. it was next to another bomb that had been dropped there by u.s. forces during the war. 40,000 people were evacuated from the city along with people from two hospitals and a prison. the founder of wikileaks is once again trying to avoid extradition to sweden for sex abuse allegations. tomorrow he will ask judges to let him take his case to the supreme court. he's fighting extradition over rape and molestation. if his request is denied he could be sent to stockholm. a woman is outraged after being strip searched at jfk. it happened after she declined

withdrawal. they spent the past three days at camp pendleton. marines at camp pendleton showed the afghans a village that was supposed to look like afghanistan. it was constructed to help train marines before they deploy. >> i'm confident we will be able to assume responsibilities. we are confident we will be able to secure our country. the afghan leaders say they will implement the vehicle as well as horse patrols. they are next scheduled to go to washington and new york where they will visit the site of the september 11th terrorist attack. a program in san diego is helping u.s. soldiers become next generations farmers. the training program was founded by a veteran to teach troops everything about farming and the business behind it. the department of agricultural estimates half of all american farmers will retire in the next

move they make. they interfere with the arrest. >> the man that recorded the arrest said police returned his phone but all personal videos and pictures was erased. this is the third year in a row it has happened. a woman driving up and getting out of her suv. walking toward the christmas trees and stuffing that tree in the back of her vehicle before pulling away. she then shown coming back a few minutes later to take another tree. >> we plan on trying to sell every tree that we get. and when you don't, it hurts the kids. because we use the funds for this to help pay for equipment, tents, the activities, the badges and everything we do for the year. >> while the scouts say that same woman driving that same car was caught on surveillance stealing one of their trees two years ago. a tree from california will be it will up on the west lawn of the u.s. capitol building.

clear, calm, and cold out there. the winds will be gone most of the day. they do return at some point. we will talk about that and show you how cold it is outside your door this morning and your afternoon forecast coming up. richmond police are looking for a person that shot a security guard overnight. it's the latest incident of violence in this city. allie rasmus is live at the police department with information. >> reporter: the latest shooting happened early this morning just after 1:00 a.m. and the victim was a security guard that worked inside the pacific east shopping mall. now the victim and other witnesses told police a mane a group of friends came to that bar around 1:00 this morning. it was around closing time. the guard asked the men to leave. that's when the suspect got upset with the guard and shot him. the victim is expected to be
okay. he already spoke with investigators about what he saw and heard. yesterday afternoon a 46-year- old man was shot while he was walking down the street on the 800th block of griffin drive. it happened in broad daylight. police have not released the victims identity. they do have a person of interest in connection with that shooting in custody and they hope to make an arrest soon. the weekend violence comes on the heels of a meeting and crime victory remembrance ceremony. richmond's mayor says there have been 26 homicides in richmond this year. there were 21 in all of last year. the mayor says the crime rate has improved compared to two years ago in 200947 people were killed in homicides in the city of richmond. live in richmond allie rasmus ktvu channel 2 news. right now all lanes of highway 101 in burling game are
back open after a fatal collision. a bicyclist was hit just before 11:00 last night. all lanes were closed for more than an hour after the highway patrol investigated. a victim and adult man was pronounced dead at the scene. new this morning two people are in critical condition after thousands of fans stormed the field at oklahoma state university. oklahoma state beat the soonerst last night 44-10. when the clock ran out, fans swarmed the field and tore down the two goal posts. 13 people were injured. two were flown to a hospital with serious injuries. some people were trampled while one man fell 15 feet on to concrete during the celebration. here at home a railing on the bleachers at at & t park collapsed last night. it happened during a celebration right after the ccs division championship game. some fans did suffer minor injuries. the wildcats beat the irish 21- 14. concord police are investigating a trannic --
tragic case of animal abuse. some of this is graphic. our cameras spotted more injured geese. animal control was called back. one animal control officer says this is the worst part of his job. >> it's not something you ever get used to. it's one of the reasons i'm in this profession. i like to find these people. >> this is not the first incident. on november ninth 17 dead geese were found. all the geese were shot which is why they think all the cases are connected. we have new information on a double shooting outside of a santa rosa bar. one person is dead and a 17- year-old and 23-year-old man are under arrest. two men were shot in front of the restaurant around 1:30 yesterday morning. police say it started as a fistfight. one suspect came back with a handgun and shot the two men. one died at the hospital, the
other is in serious condition. cal train is running normally after two people were killed on the tracks within an hour of each other. the first time it happened just after 11:00 yesterday morning. a train heading north hit a person at the california station. a second one happened an hour later where a southbound train struck a woman north of the menlo park station. service was slowed for several hours while both were investigated. officials would not speculate if the two accidents were accidents or suicides. the field of republican and presidential hopefuls is now smaller. >> with a lot of prayer and soul searching i am suspending my presidential campaign. >> herman cain made the announcement yesterday in front of hundreds of supporters. it came after a woman claims that she and cain had san affair for more than a decade.
that follows more -- despite suspending his campaign he will continue to speak out. >> the pun dents would like for me to shut up, drop out, and go away. bless their little hearts. i am not going to be silenced and i'm not going away. >> cain says he will be making a presidential endorsement in the new future. political candidates are coming to california but not for votes. coming up in a live report at 8:15 what kind of support they are look for in the golden state. this morning thousands of northern california residence are still without power after high winds knocked down trees and power lines. for the past couple of days pg&e crews have been working in santa cruz county where several lines were down. about 1,000 customers are without power in the east bay and san francisco. we are still waiting to hear back from pg&e for an update

iranian officials say the plane violated iranian air space. the plane suffered minor damage and is in the possession of iran's armed forces. no further details have been released. in january the military shot down two other unmanned u.s. planes and offered to put them on public this play. 30 minutes ago officials i nounsed a world war ii bomb was detonated or defused. this bomb was found last week at a river at koblenz. 45,000 people had to be evacwait from the city. it was the size of this bomb that was so concerning. again officials say they successfully defused that bomb. 45,000 evacuated can hopefully go back into the city soon. election 2012 coverage this morning. earlier we mentioned that herman cain has suspended his presidential campaign. now newt gingrich is cementing
his new front runner status. shows former house speaker at the top of the gop field with 25 per so ever support from likely voters. ron paul is in second with 18%. former massachusetts governor mitt romney in third with 16%. all the other candidates are in the single digits. this new poll comes from the des moines register. presidential candidates are focusing on voters in other parts of the country. they are looking to california for the cash to keep their campaigns moving. we have the details on the candidates following the money to the golden state. casey. >> reporter: california playing a very interesting dynamic as you outlined in the upcoming presidential election. as you know, we are a blue state. we typically vote democrat. but that is not stopping the gop candidates coming here to garner support. it's not necessarily the voters
they are trying to win over. they will relying on the major doe no, sir to replenish their campaign caucuses. the republican contenders have come here time and time again in recent months. and analysts say it is smart campaigning pulling in last minute cash from california to buy up last minute ad space in those key battleground states that have the very first primaries like iowa and new hampshire. here's how the numbers shake out according to federal election commission. overall republican candidates have raked in more than $7.6 million here. for context president obama has made a little over $10 million. mitt romney is the top gop fundraiser in this state so far. with about $3.9 million followed by texas governor recapperly with $1.2.

vehicles involved and that the type of problem is literally in your face. i think that gets a lot of people's attention. >> the cause for the recall is the use of incorrect material in the chemical used to deploy the air bags. it effects the accord, civic, odyssey and others manufactured in 2001 and 2002. california high speed rail authority is spending millions of dollars to improve its image. they spent $7.2 million on regional outreach. this year the rail authority is only expected to spend $2.6 million. they also report that the rail authority is receiving criticism for a $9 million contract with a public relations film. california is hoping inaction will help to raise extra cash.

overnight shooting is the latest incident of violence in one east bay city. welcome back to mornings on 2. a security guard was shot outside a bar in richmond a few hours ago. >> it happened just 12 hours after soot man was killed in broad daylight. allie rasmus is live at the richmond police department with new information about both of those shootings. >> reporter: the security guard that was shot is reekerring in the hospital. he's in stable condition. he works for a bar that is located inside the pacific east shopping mall. witnesses told police early this morning around 1:00 closing time when a suspect and group of people tried to get into the bar. the guard told them to leave because the bar was closing. and that is when witnesses say the suspect got upset with the
guard and shot him. >> it seems light now the motive may have been an argument that stemmed from the shooter and several friends being asked to leave due to the bar closing down. >> reporter: richmond police are looking for that suspect and they do have a description of his week. it's described as a late model four door green lexus ex. the -- this is the second shooting in richmond this weekend. yesterday afternoon around 1:20 a 46-year-old man was toy tally -- old man was fatally shot. police have made an arrest in that case. they arrested this morning 26- year-old gill turner of richmond. police say nay have not identified the motive in that shooting. they don't yet know what the relationship was between the person they arrested 26-year- old gill turner and 46-year-old man that was shot yesterday afternoon.
live in richmond allie rasmus. 8:31. this morning two families are living in temporary housing after a duplex fire in oakland. it happened around 5:20 last night. fire officials say the fire started outside and quickly spread right through the two unit complex. firefighters put the complex out in two minutes. the red cross said the families will be in a new -- oakland police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital. it happened a the 35th avenue and school street. one person was wounded and taken to the hospital. his injuries were not life threatening and no arrests have been made. a south based soldier killed in afghanistan has been laid to rest. a funeral was held for 21-year- old sean walsh while she was killed in combat on november 16th. his mother has set up a
memorial fund in his honor to replace a retiring canine in the santa clara police department. >> the time of great pain for her she is willing to give this donation is verygenerous. >> it costs about $10,000 to $12,000 to train a canine. several people have been arrested after riot police moved in on an occupy encampment in portland. >> you must clear the intersection. failure to do so could result in your arrest. officers started detaining protestors around 8:30 last night. they set up tents earlier in the day even though police said overnight camping was not allowed. the exact number of people arrested has not been released. it was a peaceful night.
yesterday's march focused on the need for housing. occupy protestors gathered in the castro district to call for an end to foreclosures. they also demanded fair treatment for ten didn'ts and the homeless. occupy l.a. prolates tours are back on the streets three days after being removed from their city hall encampment. 200 people protested outside a menstrual jail. they carried signs and quoted drop the charges. a man's body was found at an occupy camp site at the university of north texas. the body was dig covered by members -- discovered by members of the school police department. no one was at the encampment
when the body was found. a san diego woman is under arrest after setting fire to an exboyfriend house. the woman's boyfriend says they were arguing at her home when he decided to leave and walk back to his house. that is when gutierrez reportedly got in a car, drove to his house and started the fire. >> i lost all of my clothes, couch, tv. dvds. personal, personal stuff. there was a lot of stuff. >> firefighters were able to put out the flames in about ten minutes. they say there is about $130,000 worth of damage. gutierrez was arrested on arson and burglary. southern california the hardest hit. strong santa ana winds hit that
