. today 23 mile-per-hour sustained when f s fo. the rest of the day not bad. a little wind about 12 miles per hour. fairfield 16. everybody else calm. the wind is because of a low pressure to our north. there were a few clouds across the bay area that are now clearing. those early morning clouds are giving way to some beautiful sunshine. some very temperate numbers far temperatures. slightly cooler yesterday. coast low 60s, low 70s. upper 70s as we had inland. do those temperatures go up over the next five, seven days? yes they do. will take talk about it later in your forecast. kyla, we do have a problem on the bay bridge to talk about. that would be because of a car that was on fire.

i want to show you how slow traffic is on the bridge. three lanes are open but two right lanes are still close. on westbound bay bridge all the way to the middle of the suspension span. as the island and the traffic is backed up all the way back to the toll plaza. you can see it there. it's backed up to the toll plaza. when you get to the toll plaza the lights are on extra slow and it looks just like a bad pre-pandemic commute. you do not want any part of this, you want to go around. use another bridge like this in manteo. don't use the bay bridge. this my take an hour to unwind. if you can put the san francisco trip of a couple of hours it will help you. 7:02 >> we are still following breaking news from pakistan. that's where a passenger plane with 98 people on board went down this morning and crashed.

at least two survivors have been found. the pakistan international airlines plane crashed early today near karachi, pakistan. the early reports that 107 people were on the plane. we just had an update from the civil aviation authority. that number is at least 91 passengers and seven crew numbers but again the information still coming in. the pilot of the airbus a320 plane made a made a call saying it was having technical problems just before the crash. the plane crashed and destroyed at least five or six homes. we have not heard about any injuries or deaths on the ground. again, this investigation is just getting underway. will keep bringing you updates as soon as we get them in. there are two more does being reported in vallejo at a nursing home. the death toll at the windsor vallejo care center is 13. 99 other residents mac and 37

because the power lines to go down in the neighborhood but firefighters got it under control before 6:00 a.m. so far there is no word of any injuries. also news this morning, the santa clara fire department investigating an overnight vegetation bar. the call came in about 11:30 from near el camino real in the juarez expressway. when firefighters got there they found the fire was spreading to an adult bookstore. a gas meter was also on fire. they were able to put the flames out quick and make sure there was not any danger involving that gas line. they are still investigating how the fire started. go happening today santa clara county judge the rest of the bay area and relaxing shelter in place orders. santa clara becomes the final bay area to enter phase 2 which allows some businesses to reopen on a limited basis. it includes curbside sales of nonessential stores.

ceremonies have moved a lot of those things online this year. including the presidio. this would have been the historic military cemetery 152nd memorial day ceremony but the in person event has been canceled. they will host a commemoration virtually on monday. the uss hornet museum in alameda remains close. they are providing information for families to download. skyline memorial park in san mateo where many veterans are buried will live stream it's memorial day ceremony on sunday for the u.s. san francisco will have a virtual program and video message. memorial day is also a time to take advantage of the three-day weekend to travel out of town. for the first time in 20 years aaa will not issue a memorial day travel forecast but they usually try to estimate how many people will hit the road for the three-day weekend. this year aaa says the data is not reliable enough to do that.

taco bell has announced her plans to hire at least 30,000 employees this summer for the fast food chain says a wide variety of jobs will be opening up at taco bell's across the country. taco bell says many of the new positions will involve the countries companies increased efforts to protect both staff and customers during the pandemic. a new report says almost half of twitter account spreading messages about the coronavirus are fake. researchers studied more than 200 million tweets about the virus. it says 45% were likely set by false accounts. it appeared to be aimed at spreading fear and mistrust >> they include unproven and sometimes dangerous cures and false conspiracy theories. delta airlines announcing measures it is taking to protect passengers during the coronavirus pandemic but the airline is adding new plexiglas shields at check-in and departure gate counters at airports around the country to protect employers and passengers.

board. also not enough to offset the realization that it will be a slow recovery for the economy and numbers are done across the board. down joe's off about 1/2%. the s&p 500 and the nasdaq down as well. the good news, taco bell has announced its plans to hire at least 30,000 employees this summer. the fast food chain says a wide variety of those jobs will open up soon at taco bell's across the country. taco bell says many of the new positions involve the company's increased efforts to protect both workers and customers during the pandemic. delta airlines also announcing its measures that is taking during the coronavirus pandemic. the airline is adding new plexiglas shields that check in and departure gate around the country to employ employee to protect employees and passengers. it is also using electrostatic sprayer to sanitize the planes. and they were first used on

mission district restaurant is set to reopen, next week. the tech area will open on wednesday, for takeout orders. this comes more than two months after the business closed its doors during the pandemic. the owner, sandra original plan was to face and plays for the remainder of the year and keep it close for safety reasons, over the last few weeks more employees encouraged him, to reopen. universal studios in orlando florida, is laying out a plan to reopen the park.
