scattered showers that will arrive in the north bay and then spread south late tonight into tomorrow morning. partly cloudy skies and then followed by another storm, so i'll have a look at what you can expect for your bay area monday. if you're going to the a's game, what you can expect there and the rest of the week coming up in just a little bit. part rosemary oroczo from now, thousands of nurses at sutter health facilities will begin a one day strike protesting working conditions. 8000 nurses at 18 sutter health facilities across northern california will take part in today's one day strike that includes 12 bayer healthcare facilities, negotiations have stalled, and the nurses say the main issue is staffing. they try to keep us as lean as possible and have a student more with less every day. um it creates an unsafe situation where nurses are exhausted and not getting breaks. um, where patients won't be able to get the time and

attention that they deserve, and that we want to give now. the contract dispute has gone on since june of last year. settler health plan to bring temporary contract workers to staff at hospitals and clinics today and released a statement that reads in part work stoppages at 18 of our sites, even for a single day requires complex and costly preparation and obligates us to make plans that are teams patients and communities can rely on we notified the union that we will staff are hospitals on monday with the contract id replacement workers, nurses at stanford hospitals are accusing the medical center of retaliating after 93% of nurses voted to go on strike. the union representing the nurses says the hospital is threatening to cut off all medical benefits to nurses who walk out. nurses say next week's scheduled strike will help draw attention to extremely high caseloads, causing burnout among the nursing staff leaders at stanford hospital say they have

us her loved ones were murdered. her car was shot at by russians and this church took her in providing her warmth, shelter and food. christina. and grandmother died. we buried by ourselves. the grandmother, grandfather stayed in the apartment with damaged walls. actually talk or it's impossible to go there and take his body because of all the damage there. everything is ruined now. we also interviewed the priest of this church. he speaks a little bit of english because he visits the united states. the priest said. he asked some of the refugees if and when they would like to return to their homes. the refugee said they would not like to they consider their homes graveyards where their loved ones are dead. also here on the western side of ukraine, there is a lot of catholicism and faith. it's close to europe, but on the eastern side of ukraine closer to russia, we're told there's not a lot of

is special. yeah worrying minister marvin white takes the stage inside glide memorial church that you will choose joy. he's welcoming easter sunday worshippers. i am full of expectation. you know, i expect people to show up. i expect people to feel nervous and afraid and scared. this is their first time coming back in. i want to be here and i want to be in place. i want them to know that we've been waiting for them and expecting them. that whatever they're walking away from that our arms are open wide for them. today it's the first easter sunday service in person since the beginning of the pandemic, people attending say they were growing tired of the virtual celebrations. i love being here in the person cause when you be in person, you can unite with people. the church is offering some covid-19 protocols to make sure everyone still feels safe and comfortable. we have airspace uppers in the

just want to say thank you for their prayers for their supporting as they continue to come together. i pray for the war's end. that was like symmetry reporting, the church has been matching ukrainian refugees with host families. organizers of the efforts say hundreds of families have signed up to open up their homes. now they're working to help the refugees find jobs and cars. time is now for 36, a 14 year old northern california girl is now safe after she was missing for nine months. quetta wanna whistle? it was found saturday in nevada when her stepfather was pulled over for a traffic stop her stepfather, santos flores, roman of santa rosa, has been charged with suspicion of keeping a child from parents. it's similar to abduction but slightly different because officials believe she originally ran away from her home in crescent city. the teenager is said to be unhurt and healthy.

meantime police in belmont arrested a 17 year old boy in connection with last weekend's last week's shooting. that happened not far from carl, mont. high school investigators say he is one of the people responsible for the shooting that occurred on mallorca drive friday afternoon. no one was hit . no one was injured. all of the suspects ran away before the police got there. investigators say the shooting was an isolated event between at least two individuals or groups of people. concord police have made an arrest in a deadly shooting that happened saturday morning. a juvenile is in police custody for the death of salvador castro . there are now candles and flowers or the man died while riding his bike along the monument corridor. castro had a nine year old daughter and we heard from the little girl's mother. he would always have a smile on his face like nothing would ever just nobody would ever know that he was going through a lot, you know, and he loves his daughter. you know, he loved me and i know my

daughter's dad did not deserve this. people who knew castro say he lived on the streets and made mistakes, but they can't think of a reason anyone would want to kill him. it is the third homicide in concord this year. please are now asking anyone who saw the shooting or knows anything about it to please contact them. time now for 38, sonoma county sheriff's deputies and the chp teamed up over the weekend. the rescue an injured hiker, sonoma county deputies and the chp helicopter group, search the eastern side of the mountain until they found the hiker. that person was airlifted out of that dense brush down there and flown to a parking lot where an ambulance was waiting. the patient was taken to a hospital being treated for what's being called traumatic injuries. well it is the 116th anniversary of the san francisco earthquake and fire and people are gathering at lotta's fountain this morning for the ceremonies that will begin in just a few minutes. that powerful earthquake hit at 5 12 that morning it started fires
