time we see it that way in that format and moving forward. graduation ceremonies will be coed and part of a merged college program starting this summer school will also be known by a new name as well. mills college at northeastern university, mills merged with the boston based university after reporting declining enrollment fueled by the covid-19 pandemic. moving forward. the school will welcome students of all genders and school officials say they will be able to hire more faculty admit more students and offer more programs. right now. what the world needs is for mills to take its values and its mission to a larger group of students who are interested in joining us here in oakland to learn more to experience the world and to solve some of the toughest problems that we have out there. that merges receiving some backlash is now a class action lawsuit filed against the college, accusing the school of deceiving students. that lawsuit claims mills made empty promises planning for students planning to graduate in 2023 to entice them to keep re enrolling and to

continue taking classes without producing a degree within their major. we spoke to an attorney representing two former students. students still don't know what credits are going to transfer. they still don't know what credits are going to count at northeastern and so again, students are still in the same position of trying to figure out what they should do for their next semester of schooling. in a statement to ktvu mills, wrote mills college in northeastern university, are working diligently to mitigate any issues that mill students may encounter as a result of the pending merger of the two institutions. any delays in this process. have been due to requirements of regional accreditors graduation ceremony back here at mills college, is expected to begin at 9 45 this morning. all guests there will be asked to wear a mask. we're live this morning from mills college. i'm james torres, ktvu, fox two news. james thank you. several other local universities are holding in person commitment ceremonies today, u c. berkeley,

hosting a campus wide event for all students receiving degrees at every cow school and college ceremony kicks off at 10 o'clock this morning. at memorial stadium. dominican university in san rafael is also at 10 o'clock this morning, cal state east bay and hayward continues its commencement today and tomorrow. zuckerberg san francisco general hospital needs your help identifying the patient, the hospital says the 7 65 year old man was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. this is on wednesday, the fire department says the crews picked him up at polk and cedar streets, but he did not have any identification on him. doctors say he has blue eyes and his five ft eight inches tall. if you think you recognize this man or have any information, you are being asked to contact the hospital. rescue teams will search section of northeastern nevada this weekend for a missing teenager from sonoma 19 year old age, including disappeared in the nevada wilderness. more than two weeks ago, his vehicle was found

victims suffered critical injuries. flames quickly spread through the wood frame building . three units were destroyed, while three others had moderate smoke and fire damage. i heard the fires and then i saw flames coming out of all the windows crews immediately pulled two people out of the top floor in the rear. two people out of the ground floor and the rear who were trapped one person from the second floor in the air. firefighters say the situation could have been even worse. the building is next door to rosa parks, elementary school, and teachers from that school were actually able to rush over and helped evacuate the tenants. some cruise say that the residents are elderly and would have had trouble getting out on their own. governor gavin newsom is now providing details on how he plans to spend california's largest budget surplus ever. ktvu is the mannequin, tana tells us. one of the governor's main goals is to help ease the burden of skyrocketing inflation. inflation is taking its toll on californians and

grocery stores, electricity and water bills and especially at the gas pump. gavin newsom wants to help dedicating $11.5 billion of his inflation relief plan to sending $400 payments to car owners. but some don't think that's enough. i like that. he's trying to help us out. but i heard it was going to be 400 or a couple of $100. what is that going to do for me? maybe help me for a week or two, and then i go back to spending $150. so they should do something more than that. the governor's plan also has 2.7 billion going towards emergency rent assistance and 1.4 billion would help people with past due utility bills. 933 million would address the stress on hospital and nursing home staff giving out $1500 payments to those who cared for the sickest patients during the covid 19 pandemic. we're looking to provide stipends because we're losing

staff. it's a real recruitment challenge, and that will be made worse. if we don't focus on retention. the governor is also proposing 750 million for free public transit and other measures to pause the diesel sales tax for a year. make health insurance more affordable and wave childcare fees for low income families. those who opposed the plan, want to see money used for other things. and say the aid should only go to those in the greatest need if we're going to give money back to people, it should not be based on who owns a car. the embarcadero could be flooded the money bark. tunnels could be flooded up and down the state. we have major infrastructure needs. others suggest cutting the gas tax instead of giving drivers a refund. in addition to this, the state's minimum wage will raise to 15 50. that will happen on january 1st now that is required when inflation goes over 7% in the newsroom. amanda quintana ktvu, fox two news.

well governor, newsom is now taking action in response to the growing number of shootings on california highways. yesterday the governor unveiled his $10 million plan to install 200 new cameras on freeways and four california counties. the list includes alameda and contra costa counties, where there have been several deadly highway shootings in just the past year. two cases are very close to, uh, our our hearts here. jasper woo in november of 2021 david wynn in january of 2022. we wish we had some cameras there to help us and those investigations. and when was a 20 year old alameda county sheriff's department recruit who was killed while driving home near the bay bridge toll plaza toddler jasper wu was killed by a stray bullet on 8 80 in oakland. all right time. now is 7 18. what looks like a great weekend. the sum was up. this guy is about to turn nice and blue on a gorgeous saturday

offs black restaurant week gets underway. that event began in texas just a few years ago, and it is now gone nationwide, and people here in the bay area are being urged to dine at the growing number of local restaurants taking part in black restaurant week. organizers are hoping this event will provide a badly needed economic boost to many of the black owned restaurants that have been struggling during this pandemic. starting houston and has become a nationwide tour that started coming to the bay area in 2019. each year. we've been able to increase the engagement business participants as well as patrons who go out during this week. and we hope this year that we, um, a double that increase engagement to make it the biggest year yet. black restaurant week runs until sunday, may 22nd 7 25 1 of the east bay's best known bars and music venues, says now saturday to reopen the stork club on

telegraph avenue would be back in business on july the first the new owners are planning a big party on that day to celebrate reopening hosted by legendary cult filmmaker john waters. the 100 year old bar shut down two years ago due to economic problems all caused by the pandemic. while newborn giraffe now running and jumping with the help of a custom leg brace at giraffe, is now three years old and was born with her front leg bent the wrong way at the san diego zoo. zookeepers were worried she would die if it was not corrected, but they say, after a lot of research and trial and error, they were able to fit her with a carbon fiber brace that corrected her condition. and saved her life. it is a custom molded carbon graphite brace, and we actually put the giraffe pattern on there, too, just so it would blend in with other wildlife. and you can see now the draft can walk and she can even run

been lifted, but the house is on a few streets are still off limits. people who are allowed to return or cleaning debris that may have been left over from the damage. firefighters are hoping to put out the fire before early next week when temperatures in that region are forecast at the top 100 degrees. well, governor newsom says the main part of his budget proposal is funding to fight climate change, including preparations for wildfire season. we have to confront the extremes. ah by confronting this challenge with an unprecedented budget. the governor wants to spend an additional $9.5 billion on climate change, bringing the two year climate budget to more than 47 billion. extra money includes another $1.3 billion to address the drought. plus a quarter billion for wildfires and forced protection projects already underway involved more prescribed burns and new firefighting equipment.

firefighters preparing for the fire season will be out again today training in northwest contra costa county. we're anticipating a dangerous fire year. we have an awful lot of well dried vegetation on the ground already as a result of the weather conditions that we've experienced up till now. conditions currently in the middle of mayor what fire crews normally see in july and august . the training area is on the philips 66 refinery property, the dry brush catches fire. every year, which puts nearby homes at rest, some as far away as rodeo and crockett. kind of like it because then. the in cae there is a real fire. there's really no bush to burn. this drill turned into a real exercise as a fire did break out along highway 80. the training includes contra costa county fire protection districts main

wildfire hand crew, along with the academy recruits who are about to graduate. nearby fire departments are also taking part in wildfire suppression training through the end of this month. well two more family members are facing criminal charges after a three year old died during an exorcism. the santa clara district attorney's office has last september in a small south bay church. the child was smothered and strangled during a ceremony to rid her of an evil spirit. the girl's mother, claudia hernandez, has already been charged now her grandfather, rene hernandez, and her uncle, rene hernandez, santos. have also been charged. but we are talking about is over 12 hours where three year old girl who is only £38 has been subjected to some of the most horrific physical abuse that you can even imagine. report outlined a long list of injuries that included bruises and internal damage. it was this

report that authorities say gave them enough evidence to implicate the child's grandfather. and uncle. they area healthcare leaders would like to see people wearing masks again. inside our region has the highest covid-19 case rate in the state right now, ktvu is in magus. spoke to a doctor about this renewed call to mask up indoors. 12 bay area health officers released a joint statement friday urging the public to once again mask up indoors because covid-19 cases and now hospitalizations are on the rise. san francisco public health is reporting more than 60. people are hospitalized with covid. it's the largest uptake around the bay area. monica gandhi at ucsf says it's a manageable caseload for hospitals. and at this point, there's so much immunity that we're seeing cases, but they're mostly a mild and essentially our hospitalizations are still staying very low. which is why bay area public health officers

are recommending rather than mandating masks be worn indoors . they're leaving it up to each person to determine their own risk, and some already are when it comes to dining out, and we've seen some people really wanting to be more outside than he was like a few weeks ago, probably french basque restaurant on battery street. was fully stacked for friday. dinner rush even the owner out sick in december. not these days, so far can it doesn't translate to the business yet. but you know, as we say, it's a day by day, and we're gonna have to see what's happening. berkeley law grad plans to move to san francisco shortly she is also planning to wear a mask. she said many of her classmates tested positive for covid in the last month feel comfortable continuing to mask because i think it is the best way to come back. covid public health officials also recommended people ask their doctors of antiviral medications like paxil covid meant for

diplomas today. it will be the last time we see it in this format moving forward. it will then be coed graduations, and it'll all be part of a merged college program that will start this summer. the school will be known by a different name mills college at northeastern university mills. merged with the boston based university after reporting declining enrollment in some financial trouble, mostly fueled by the covid-19 pandemic. moving forward, the school will welcome students of all genders and school officials say they will emit more students. and offer more programs. right now, what the world needs is for bills to take its values and its mission to a larger group of students who are interested in joining us here in oakland to learn more to experience the world and to solve some of the toughest problems that we have out there. that merge is receiving some backlash. a class action lawsuit now filed in alameda court against the college, accusing the school of deceiving students . the lawsuit claims mills made empty promises to students planning to graduate in 2023. to

entice them to keep re enrolling and taking classes without producing a degree within their major. we spoke to an attorney representing two former students. students still don't know what credits are going to transfer. they still don't know what credits are going to count at northeastern and so again, students are still in the same position of trying to figure out what they should do for their next semester of schooling. we did get a statement from mills college, it writes. in part, mills college and northeastern university are working diligently to mitigate any issues that male students may encounter as a result of the pending merger of the two institutions. and he delays in this process had been due to different requirements of regional accreditors that graduation ceremony here at mills college, expected to begin at 9 45 this morning. they do still have covid-19 protocols. top of mind so all guests in attendance today. will be asked to wear a mask. we're live this morning in oakland. i'm james torres. ktvu fox two news. alright thanks, james. well, all

i td in two separate shootings in milwaukee, large crowds gathered in the entertainment district to watch the milwaukee bucks against the celtics in their game six in the nba eastern conference playoff game. three people wounded in that first shooting 17 were injured in the second shooting. that happened a couple of hours later in a couple of blocks away, local tv station reports police made 10 arrests were covered nine guns. none of the injuries are behat story, and we'll bring you all the new details as soon as we get that information. investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at a senior citizen coop in san francisco. seven people were injured, including five who went to the hospital. two of the victims suffered critical injuries. flames quickly spread to the

wood frame building. three units were destroyed, while three others had moderate smoke and fire damage. i heard the fires and then i saw flames coming out of all the windows crews immediately pulled two people out of the top floor in the rear. two people out of the ground floor and the rear who were trapped one person from the second floor in the rear. firefighters say the situation could have been worse. the building is next door to rosa parks elementary school teachers were able to rush over from that school and evacuate tenants. crews say some of the residents are elderly and would have had trouble getting out on their own. what are the east bay's best known bars and music venues, has now set a date to reopen. finally the stork club that's on july the first the new owners are planning a big party on that date celebrate the reopening, hosted by legendary cult

hers the bay area, increasing their efforts to crack down on illegal side shows oakland pd. they've arrested five people this month . just last week, they told some 60 vehicles that a sideshow authorities continue to say side shows will not be tolerated. well governor, newsom is now taking action in response to the growing number of shootings on california highways. yesterday the governor unveiled his $10 million plan new cameras on freeways and four california counties. that list

includes alameda and contra costa counties, where there have been several deadly highway shootings in just the past year. two cases are very close to, uh, our our hearts here. jasper woo in november of 2021 david wynn in january of 2022. we wish we had some cameras there to help us and those investigations. david wen was a 28 year old alameda county sheriff's department recruit who was killed while driving home near the bay bridge toll plaza toddler jasper wu was killed by a stray bullet on 8 80 in oakland. and the state of california is projecting a record $97.5 billion budget surplus, and governor gavin newsom says he wants to put that $18 billion back into people's pockets to counter high inflation. his proposal includes rebates for gas taxes, rent relief and stipends for some hospital and nursing home staff . he is also pledging to increase spending on health care, education, child care and

time for students and faculty at mills college ktvu james torres has been at that school all morning long and reports where it will host its 134th and final commencement. as an all women's private college. and a little more than an hour from now about 400 women will receive diplomas from mills college. it will be the last of its kind. moving forward. graduation ceremonies will be coed and part of emerged college program. starting this summer, the school will be known by a different name mills college at northeastern university. mills merged with the boston based college after reporting declining enrollment fueled by the covid-19 pandemic. moving forward. the school will welcome students of all genders and school officials say they will be able to hire more faculty admit more students and offer more programs right now what to take its values and its mission to a larger group of ino learn more to experience the world and to solve some ofhave

out there. that merge is receiving some backlash. class action lawsuit now filed against the college, accusing the school deceiving students. the lawsuit claims mills made empty promises to students planning to graduate in 2023. to entice them to keep re enrolling and taking classes without producing a degree in their major. we spoke to an attorney representing two former students. students still don't know what credits are going to transfer. they still don't know what credits are going to count at northeastern and so again, students are still in the same position of trying to figure out what they should do for their next semester of schooling. in a statement to ktvu mills, wrote mills college in northeastern university, are working diligently to mitigate any issues that mill students may encounter as a result of the pending merger of the two institutions and he delays in the process. have been due to different requirements of regional accreditors. that graduation ceremony is set to begin at 9 45 this morning and covid-19 protocols are still top

of mind. so school is asking all guests to wear a mask if they are attending. reporting in oakland. i'm james torres, ktvu fox two news. thank you. james more evacuated residents returning home after a wildfire was fanned by high winds destroyed. 20 homes damaged 11. others burned 200 acres containment now up to 40. most mandatory evacuations have been lifted, but the house is on a few streets in that area still off limits people who are allowed to return or cleaning debris that may have been left over from all that damage. firefighters are hoping to put out the fire before early next week, when temperatures in orange county could soar into the one hundred's. well governor newsom says a main part of his budget proposal is funding to flight climate change, and that includes preparations for the wildfire season. we have to confront the extremes. ah by confronting this challenge with

an unprecedented budget. the governor wants to spend an additional $9.5 billion on climate change, bringing the two year climate budget to more than 47 billion. extra money includes another $1.3 billion to address the drought, plus a quarter billion for wildfire and force protection projects already underway involved more prescribed burns. a new fire fighting equipment. firefighters meanwhile, preparing for the fire season will be out again. today they are training in northwest contra costa county. we are anticipating a dangerous fire year. we have an awful lot of well dried vegetation on the ground already as a result of the weather conditions that we've experienced up till now. conditions currently in the middle of mayor what fire crews normally see in july and august the training areas on the philips 66 refinery property, the dry brush catches fire every year, which puts nearby homes at risk, some as far away. as rodeo

wear this outfit every day, the same style but just different materials. and once you go to the fancy parties, you just have it. spend here material once you work in the kitchen, you just have more simple style, but it's the same. style style. always yes, changes it up with a different fabrics that you use in terms of how people when they come to the bazaar. what do you want them to do in terms of how to experience at the most and make sure they see everything. try the food, be able to talk to the people who will be. yes so this this event was from the organization friends of indonesia that we just started and we want to show the world the wonders of indonesia. so when you come into the event, we want you to walk around and talk to our fenders and experience them and ask them. about what their offerings and how this product would come here and also enjoy our dance and enjoy our

live here on this nine o'clock hour. good morning to you. good morning. thanks for having me what a great event. i love this. i know that you guys promote that. look if girls play sports, they have better standardized test results and non athletes. they go on to earn 7% higher in annual wages and other non athletes, peers and, of course, self esteem is always a benefit. tell me what you see. in terms of i know you guys have done this event before and other spots what you can see in the girls that changes as they start to play these sports and do these activities. oh my goodness . it's just it's amazing. this event really started as a way of getting girls playing sports. um more involved in sports and trying new sports that maybe they haven't tried before. stand. it's truly amazing in the sense that you'll see girls come out this event, and they it's all girls, right? so it's different than if you played a coed sports playing sports, and

when you come out, this environment is so supportive. the girls come out. we are expecting without four or 500 girls from around the bay area and their families and it's truly just a win. win win. win win. what we say is the athletes obviously have benefit of trying new sports, but the parents they come and they see and they would have never known that their daughter was interested. let's say and sensing or field, hockey or rugby, and they can the organizations are so excited to be there in front of it's often hard to reach demographic and if they if their daughter falls in love with mountain biking or field hockey, they can sign up right there for a class or a camp, and it's just it's the girl power vibe is just palpable at this. i love it. you know what? i love all these pictures to right tire flipping you talk about field hockey. boxing so many things that sometimes what happens right is that we introduced our kids to things that we knew, or we were part of

. but you know, i mean, there are far more opportunities for young girls today than there were when i was growing up. so sometimes it's not on purpose. we just don't we don't we don't know to, you know, maybe open up the store. for you know the girls in our lives? it's so true. it's so true, and i mean, honestly, it's expensive you if you have a child who says i want to try a new sport, there's this hesitation so this event being totally free and open to girls or anyone who identifies as being female. it'sea a way for us to show piedmont recreation that we fully support them in and being an athlete and their dreams and by the parents being there showing their support as well. it's showing that they matter and we just don't get that message enough, you know, so true. so much mentoring and modeling, too, right if you are taking boxing lessons from a female coach, then you can also see this is

where i could go. this is not just today, but if they want to pursue it at a you know, and more intense level or if they just want to try it 1000 sports you know, and make it front. either way, i think having those mentors there is also so critical just to really how they perceive it when they're looking at it saying, of course i could do it. why wouldn't i? girls teaching girls, right? someone who looks like you. it's so important. it's truly important in terms of where they can go. are there resources that if you know, a parent is watching their their daughter, and they're like i had no idea that she wanted defense. i didn't know where to go. this is a a place where they can get resources to figure to go from here. absolutely yes. so every all the organizations are from right here around the bay area, and we encourage them to bring opportunities. sign up sheet and opportunities for the girls to truly sign up right there for a camp for a class. we also have a raffle. so any girl who when they check in, they get a score

are increasing their efforts to crack down on illegal side shows. oakland police have arrests of some five people this month. just last week, they told 60 vehicles at a sideshow. authorities continue to say side shows will not be tolerated. well governor, newsom is now taking action in response to the growing number of shootings in california highways. yesterday the governor unveiled his $10 million plan to install 200 new cameras on freeways in four california counties. the list includes alameda and contra costa counties, where there have been several deadly highway shootings in just the past year. to clinic cases are very close to, uh, our hearts here. jasper woo and november of 2021 david wynn in january of 2022. we wish we had some cameras there to help us and those investigations. david wynn was a 28 year old alameda county sheriff's department recruit. he was killed while driving home near the bay bridge toll plaza

ceremony here set to start. in 15 minutes. i just spoke to the college president a few moments ago. she says she's excited to stand in front of the group of students here for the first time in about three years. remember covid-19 canceled the tradition graduate traditional graduation. for the last two years, and we have a combination of undergraduate and graduate students this morning, but after today, all graduation ceremonies will be co ed and part of a merged college program. starting december. the school will be known by a different name mills college at northeastern university bills merged with the boston based university. after reporting some financial troubles and declining enrollment, fueled by the covid-19 pandemic, so moving forward, the school will now welcome students of all genders for its undergraduate studies. school officials say they will be able to hire more faculty, admit more students and offer more programs. a woman i spoke to this morning graduated with her master's tells me she still thinks mills will be able to provide a meaningful education for future students. everything happens for a reason. it is

unfortunate for us. however i still feel like the stuff that are here will still be able to provide wonderful education for the students coming into mills calls and be able to support them the best way they can. not everyone is as optimistic a class action lawsuit now filed against the college, accusing the school of deceiving students . that lawsuit claims mills made empty promises to students planning to graduate in 2023. to entice them to keep re enrolling and to keep taking classes without producing a degree within their major. we spoke to an attorney representing two former students. students still don't know what credits are going to transfer. they still don't know what credits are going to count at northeastern and so again, students are still in the same position of trying to figure out what they should do for their next semester of schooling. and a statement to ktvu mills wrote mills college and northeastern university are working diligently to mitigate any issues that mill students they encounter as a result of

the pending merger of the two institutions, and he delays in this process. have been due to different requirements of regional accreditors and take it back out here live to mills college, but we know that graduation ceremony set to begin in about 10 minutes here, you see the graduates and the black robes, the black caps hanging out here for the moment. at some point, they will walk over to the platform and the lawn with a ceremony will be taking place. they'll take their seats, and they'll start hearing from the many speakers that are lined up for this morning. some students and fact one in particular that i spoke to told me that for her two years as a student here at mills college this is her first time actually meeting some of her classmates in person. you almost forget that covid-19 had such an impact on some of the students and some of these graduating classes not just this year, not just last year, but probably for a couple of years to come. as well. there are still some covid-19 protocols in place, so the school is asking anyone who is in attendance today. parents family the students themselves to make sure they wear a mask during the ceremony. we're live this morning in oakland. i'm james

torres, ktvu, fox two news. thank you, james. within the past hour, we did receive an update on that wildfire near laguna beach. the orange county fire authority says it's been able to keep flames from damaging any more of the homes there. the numbers didn't change overnight. 20 homes destroyed 11 were damaged 200 acres burned and containment. remains at 40% to firefighters have been injured so far, but they've been treated and released. cruiser flying drones using their heat seeking capabilities to detect hotspots below. while most evacuees have returned back to their homes about 130 of the 900 houses that were evacuated, still are not considered safe to go back to well, governor newsom's is a main part of his budget proposal is funding to fight climate change, including preparations for wildfire season. we have to confront the extremes. ah by confronting this challenge with an unprecedented budget. the governor wants to

spend an additional $9.5 billion on climate change, bringing the two year climate budget to more than 47 billion. extra money includes another $1.3 billion to address the drought. plus a quarter billion for wild fires and forest protection projects already underway involved more prescribed burns and new firefighting equipment. meanwhile firefighters preparing for the fire season be out again today training in the northwest section of contra costa count. we are anticipating a dangerous fire year. we have an awful lot of well dried vegetation on the ground already as a result of the weather conditions that we've experienced up till now. conditions currently in the middle of may or what fire crews normally see in mid summer, july and august. the training area is on the philips 66 refinery property, all that dry brush. catching fire every year, which puts nearby homes at risk, some as far away as rodeo and crockett. kind of like it because then the bushes been

burnt down. so in case there is a real fire. there's really no bush to burn. believe it or not , the drill actually turned into a real exercise. as a fire broke out along highway 80. they took care of that the training includes contra costa county fire protection district mean wildfire hand crew. along with academy recruits who are about to graduate. nearby fire departments are also taking part in wildfire suppression training through the end of this month. well several european nations are now proposing helping ukraine exports, wheat and other grains to get around the russian blockade of ports along the black sea. the european union announced today it plans to establish alternative routes to get those grains out of ukraine for shipment to other parts of the world. russia's invasion of ukraine has created a major disruption of global food supplies. russia and ukraine are two of the world's biggest exporters of wheat, barley and sunflower oil. 9 39 rosemary

children going through that same thing and my goal when i created comfort kits for kids was to show other children that they are not alone and that other children and i are thinking about, um, and care for that mug. they go through a very, very difficult time in their life at such a young age will jump into the kid here in a moment, but how has it helped you? to meet other kids that have gone through lost to that must be comforting for you as well right. it's very comforting for me. i think that it's really good to see that it's not good. it's very terrible that so many people go through this. but i think it's really good that i am able to show them that i have also been through this and there are many other kids that have been through this and are there for them and are we are hoping that they heal soon. sure, they get through this difficult time in their life and the time that they need to strengthen numbers , right? yes more people. you can talk about it. all right. you've got one of the kids. some great things in there. give us a little tour and tell us why you put these things in there. okay

so in all my kids, i include a stuffed animal and depending on who i'm giving to and the amount of donations i received for the kids. i include different stuffed animals, for example, i have included a dog like this and a bear bear in there, right? yeah and these toys are really comforting and kids can snuggle with them and it's a toy that they can play with and something that is there for them while they go through the group, little kind of a stress these are always good right also include fidget toys because it can give them something to do while they're processing all these thoughts, something that they can fidget with, and it can be just fun to play with his well, so sometimes writing your thoughts down help, right? for sure, it can be very difficult to talk about what you're feeling with other people. for i mean, for some people, it's definitely very difficult and writing out your feelings to just express what is going on in your life can be very helpful or for the younger kids they can draw. what they're feeling or

just anything they want for fun . i also include fun pens. i like to find ones that are like fluffy or colorful or sometimes animal pens because it can just be more fun and kids tend to like that. and by the way, she puts these kids together, but she also did bake sales and lemonade sales. so you raise a lot of the money that goes into buying this to put them together to also wrote and received a grant to put all these together and buy all the supplies that i needed to put these kids together. and sometimes i received donations from oil companies. have you surprised yourself a little bit. how this is kind of grown? you've given out over 200 kids, right? and you're going to give out some today at two o'clock. uh have you surprised yourself a little bit? i mean, a little bit. i don't think i would ever thought i've been able to get it to the scale. but i'm so happy that i've been able to touch so many people's lives. really is. it just means a lot. have you met some new friends to have definitely met some people? i've received some letters from people who have gotten these kids and how it helped them and
