4:09 am
chewed up after yesterday. i mean, i didn't see the sun at my place until 3 45, which for maybe june or something would be yeah, but for october that doesn't happen very often, but a lot of high clouds are spilling in from that system, so we'll go partly sunny to mostly cloudy here today. temperatures a little bit warmer here because there's only some patches of fog . there's not a lot cooler lows because we are under mostly clear skies. temperatures that will be held in check to that cloud cover here, but forties fifties on the tent napa airports already 47. petaluma is in there santa roses in their palo alto's 49 livermore's down to 48. so much cooler lows here as you can see a bunch of forties to the north mill valley, ross in their sand and summa, sanoma sport, even american canyon, middletown down to 43. so take your pick. there's a lot of forties, including point raised at 49, thirty's up in the mountains. trucking in south lake tahoe 48 down in santa maria 28 out neely about that things are changing so that system will fall apart

4:14 am
let's say this is not a new trend, they say in recent months , reports a growing about more dogs eating drugs. normally they're just a handful of cases a year. but now doctors are saying one or two cases a month , veterinarians had met vet silicon valley believe dogs are accidentally eating meth in areas where people are using drugs on the streets, particularly near some homeless encampments. it just brings to life the fact that centers a and the entire barria needs to do a better job of keeping track of what's happening on their streets. right dogs are naturally curious. they see something different, something shiny, something that maybe smells different, so they're going to go and they're going to explore and they don't know if it's good or bad. now the vets say, take precautions when you're walking your dog, and if you think there's a problem or if your dog starts just randomly pacing or acting different after a walk, like showing aggression or twitching or re being really excited. take them to an

emergency clinic right away. charles b. johnson the san francisco giants largest shareholder, has made several political donations in support of georgia state senate candidate herschel walker. now that's according to the chronicle, which says johnson donated $100,000 to a super pac that supports walker on september 30th as well as two previous donations. walker a republican, is running against democratic incumbent senator rafael warnock, recently an ex girlfriend, said walker, who has taken a hard stance against abortion paid for her abortion in 2009. walker has denied her claims are time now for 15. the warriors now publicly addressing some serious accusations that were previously made against the team's new forward, anthony land . he's 24 years old. he's accused of sexual assault during his days at the university of vermont warriors general manager bob myers has lamb never faced any criminal charges. admire says a recent nba investigation
4:16 am
didn't find any evidence of wrongdoing directly linked to land. the warriors signed a two way contract with lamb on friday , the defending nba champion golden state warriors begin a new season tomorrow night, the warriors will host the los angeles lakers at san francisco's j center. during opening night of the regular nba season. now two of the warriors younger stars signed a new four year contracts over the weekend . andrew wiggins deal is for $109 million jordan's pools new contract $140 million pool also made his first public comments after since his altercation with draymond green during practice more than a week ago. alright. so the dreamers situation, um you know, he apologized and, um, professional, you know, we're planning on handling ourselves that way. we're here to play basketball. and, um you know, everybody in the locker room and on our team knows that it takes some of the championship. i mean, that's really all i have
4:17 am
to say pushing. tomorrow opening night celebration will also include a traditional ring ceremony for their latest nba championship. yep, stuff goes, it goes right there. the warriors defeated the boston celtics in this year's nba finals in june. time now for 17 warriors lost a tough game yesterday they were outplayed in atlanta by the falcons. several injuries mess, said the warriors , 49ers several injuries and left the 49ers shorthanded on defense. but that wasn't the only a factor leading to the loss of 49ers. had no real running game and some really costly turnovers that gave the falcons 28 to 14 win. here's ktvu is joe fonzi in atlanta, with more on that tough loss by the 49. no one on the 49ers is making excuses, but the falcons new coming into their game that san francisco was down six starters on defense and executed a game plan to take perfect advantage of that. throw in a
4:18 am
touchdown by the defense couple of passes that were dropped. it could have changed the games with momentum and a mobile quarterback just good enough to get it done at the key times, and that is not a formula for a win. i thought the biggest play in that game was in the second quarter that 3rd and 13. we finally got him in a long, third down and i don't know what happened, but got free in the middle and mario there was a lot of scramble for the first down and the native given seven point lead to go on at halftime, mario to was clicking he, you know. what 13 for 14. that's a #### of a stat line. um but they're running the ball 40 rushes. i mean, that's what usually we do, and we couldn't. we couldn't get into that because we got down early. um and then that second half just got away from us in our offense and produce when we had to produce exactly what they were going to do, um, you know, and that was that was the challenge for us on defense was to stop the run and to dictate that, but you know, i gotta give give them props for dictating, you know the entire game in the run game, self inflicted wounds. really. i mean, guys making
4:19 am
mistakes, and it wasn't just, you know, one guy or one position starts with myself, and i think we just kinda one after another kept making mistakes. and when you do that adds up to a to a game like this in all three of their losses this year, it's been mobile quarterbacks that have given the 49ers problems. and next week they might be facing the most mobile quarterback in the entire league. the chiefs pat mahomes, the good news, though, is that the 49ers will be at home where they haven't lost since last season. in atlanta. joe fonzi ktvu fox two. okay they're gonna be home. but that mahomes kid is pretty good. it's hard to win in the nfl hard. yeah just there are so many injured. i mean, it's not a not an easy sport. there's a lot of injuries to win in the nfl. all right. we do have a little bit of a different pattern here after a weekend or week really? of extensive low clouds. just amazing for this time of year. as you know, deep fog bank yesterday maxed itself out. we'll get some streaming clouds coming in high clouds
4:20 am
coming from that system. now we're not looking for anything from except some partly to mostly cloudy skies now the lows because we're under mostly clear skies are a lot cooler here. there's a lot more forties here and lower fifties. partly cloudy a little bit warmer, though on the temps after really cool. when's the last time santa rosa and san francisco both had the same temperature in october. they were both 65 yesterday. 74 in santa rosa. today 60 in the city conquered up to 77 in san jose, from 71 to 74 forties san roses 45. i mean, petaluma napa airport, 47. livermore's 48 palo alto's 49, some east bay temps. alamo danville, dublin castro valley, all in the forties. it's close for elsa bronte at 50 degrees clayton's in there won't creek low fifties even around a 52 hayward, union city. that's a big drop compared to yesterday thirties in the mountains, fifties or sixties in the valley , fifties and forties and sixties. a lot of rain in southern california and also into arizona from that low, which is now moving into new
4:21 am
mexico. but big time rains, especially down in southern california over the weekend and also into arizona. that system will fall apart over us. we'll get a warmer pattern. high pressure kicking. you knew some warmer weather is on the way. and it will looks like on wednesday thursday, then after that, all eyes are on next week on what could be a wetter pattern. but again, it won't be until we get to next week 60 seventies on the temps, that's it. and then more sunshine starts tomorrow. warmer temps? yes briefly could get up ratings dinner 90 inland wednesday thursday and it looks like it comes right back down again by the weekend. all right. thank you. steve global response to the coronavirus pandemic, polio and mental health are all coming under fire at the world health summit coming up what united nations officials are warning if countries don't increase cooperation to combat these health crises, also the special cause that brought hundreds of people together. it's san francisco's crissy field, all of them. dressed in pink.

4:41 am
