high temperatures in the low 80s and upper 70s. we'll see a breeze pick up out of the north, blowing 10 to 20 mph. it will not be as strong as the wind we dealt with this past weekend. plenty of sunshine is forecast thursday through saturday with temperatures climbing back into the upper 80s and low 90s for your weekend. some more clouds move across the area on sunday with the chance of a few showers around southern nevada on monday. metro police have a barricade situation near sam's town under control. the standoff started in a neighborhood near nellis and flamingo around 9 last night. police say a man got into a fight with his father inside the home before going outside and grabbing a gas can. when he went back inside, police say he poured it everywhere, including on himself, and turned on the gas inside the home. the father was able to get out of the home safely. police later spotted the son, still inside the home with a gun, so they evacuated several
homes. police took the man into custody around midnight. metro is releasing video from police body cameras showing the moment officers shot and killed a robbery suspect following a high-speed chase. we want to warn you this video may be disturbing to some viewers. fox5's faith tanner shows us video of the dramatic end to that deadly chase.

here at home, the clark county school district says graduation rates are up 15-percent, thanks to the class of 20-16. this brings the school district's graduation rate up to nearly 75-percent, the highest it's ever been! the announcement was made last week at chaparral high school, which now has a gradation rate of almost 80-percent. hunger may be a common problem among college students in the u.s around 4- thousand students from 12 u-s states were surveyed for the study, which found that almost half didn't have reliable access to food on a regular basis. and almost a- quarter of the students surveyed went hungry. pepsi is going the healthy-route. the soda giant says that most of its drinks will have at most 100 calories by 20-25. pepsi announced it will cut sugars and calories in dozens of its drinks. the company also plans to reduce levels of saturated fat and sodium in snacks like doritos, fritos and
