connection, eastbound just before delaware river bridge toll plaza that left lane is block, so a lot of construction but it is just one lane so should not affect you in this early hour that much. ohio and rahel, back to you. a drive by shooting in west philadelphia, at one of the areas busiest intersections. >> now police are trying to track down the person responsible. philadelphia per reese were called to the 52nd and haverford avenue just after midnight. they found a 59 year-old man on the ground there with the gunshot wound to his right hip. >> based on witness accounts, they say that the male, was standing on the corner, on a car, drove by, a dark, or black nissan, went north on fifth second street, and then occupant, fired at least one shot from this vehicle. >> police rush the victim to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition, stay with us here on "eyewitness news" we will have more on this in a live report coming up at 5:00. a teen is in the hospital after he is viciously attack by a pit bull in wilmington

delaware. chopper three over the keen last night around 7:00, at washington and west 27th street. teenage boy was taken to ai du pont children's hospital where he is in stable condition. officers say they shot and killed the dog. a $25,000 reward is being offered to find the man robbed a post office in chester. take a good look at this surveillance video. police say that man, held a gun in one hand and umbrella in the other when he robbed the post office on edgemont avenue on wednesday. if you recognize that man call the u.s. postal inspection service. and this montgomery county man who earned a spot on the fbi's most wanted list is finally found an england. girard, was just sentenced to two years in prison for raping a 13 year-old girl. the montgomery county officials have been looking for him since 2006 when he disappeared just before he was just supposed to be sentenced for trying to meet another young girl for sex. montgomery county prosecutors say he plans to bring the man

back, after he finishes his sentence in england. just days after a head on crash kills a new jersey state troop inner millville police identified the driver of the other car. doctor lloyd rudly of elmer was pronounced dead on monday night's crash on route 55, in cumberland county. police say that williams was responding to an eradic driver complaint, when the 61 year-old doctor's car crossed the grassy median and slammed into the trooper's car. a life long friend says that the psychiatrist, suffered, from diabetic shock episode and had been hospitalized in recent years. >> well, we knew about it because my brother and i check on him at his house, and he was passed out on the kitchen floor. >> i grew up my whole life. he never touched liquor in his life, or any kind have of drugs, except his insulin. >> autopsy results for doctor rudly are pending in an effort to figure out what exactly caused this fatal collision. funeral arrangements for trooper frankie williams have

not yet been announced. well law enforcement officialness georgia are asking a suspected shooter to turn himself in after one officer is killed, and another is wounded. yesterday morning, two officers, responded to a domestic disturbance in the city of americas, when officers arrived the suspect shot the at them and then ran. they say they are looking for, manual kennedy lambbrick, they say he is armed and dangerous. >> this is a very dangerous individual. we need to have him off of the streets. we want him arrested so he can face the law. >> officer that was killed was a member of the americas police department, other is a public safety officer at nearby georgia southwestern state university. she's listed in very critical condition. fbi is offering $20,000 for information leading to lambbrick's arrest. in nevada

student is in critical condition after he is hot by a school police office are. police in reno say it happened yesterday morning, after two students got in an altercation. one of them i 14 year-old pulled out two knives and refused to drop them, that is when officer opened fire. dozens of student witnessed the incident but no one else was hurt. >> it was in the classroom and i just was so scared. >> wye didn't think much of it until student started running away. >> police are asking student who shot video of the incident to share with the investigators. the school will reopen today with counselors available for students. in northeast fail a special ceremony honors dozens of philadelphia police officers for their heroism and bravery. among them on the jesse hartnett who was shot in the line of duty during an ambush in january. office are hartnett was under attack, and shielded himself there gunfire, using his arm. for that hartnett received, the sergeant robert wilson the third valor award. >> it is just very, very appreciative especially for the two guys that saved my

life and got me to the hospital and i'm forever grateful to them. >> officer hartnett has faced a long road on his recovery. he tells us he will have another surgery later this month. president-elect donald trump continues his thank you tour in iowa today despite his latest feud with the union leader. they hit twitter saying chub jones done a terrible job and suggested that the he was reason like companies were leaving the country. in a interest right with cnn, he accused trum have of inflating the number of jobs saved by carrier deal. president-elect brings his tour to hershey pennsylvania next thursday. as inauguration day approaches, the obama administration is beginning to say its final good byes. the senate honored outing vice-president joe biden, yesterday, during a two hour tribute. senators there both side of the aisle honored the vice-president, republican senate majority leader mitch mcconnell said even though they didn't always agree on politics he always trusted him. other senators said they hope biden had a political future.

welcome back. pay attention to the hand in the gray shirt what looked like a game of tag is actually a police chase near san francisco airport. it began when police were called about a man a peering to be than the influence waiting for his flight. well, he took off running, hopped security barriers and ended up on the tarmac. man gave up, laid on the ground and was arrested. a authorities charged two juveniles with arson in connection with the wild fires in tennessee. fire started over two weeks ago and mainly affect area around gatlinburg a popular resort town. fourteen people were killed as the fire charred more than 17,000 acres. police are now considering charging unidentified suspect as an adult. all but one of the 36 victims in the oakland warehouse fire has been identified, now victims range in age from 17 to 35 years old, still many questions

remain concerning building inspections and how fire may have been prevented. as the investigation continues, stories of the victims are beginning to unfold. twenty year-old mikayla gregory and 22-year old alex vega were found wrapped in each others arms. alex's brother say they were high school sweethearts, together for five years. >> they were perfect for each other, always complimenting each other, we thought they would be together forever. she was a vega. >> family says that the couple shared a mutual love of music and dancing. people in north dakota dealing with blizzard conditions this morning, check out the snow getting blown across the road by almost 50 miles an hour wind here, it is causing massive though drifts and dangerous driving conditions. people getting stuck all over the place, and tow truck rescued another tow truck that was stranded in this snow. stuff all over the place. >> everybody is stuck. they are stuck, she's stuck, he's stuck. >> everybody gets stuck. >> just looking at that video, of course, ending chills up

morning. temperatures pretty seasonal, we should be down in the middle 30's as far as averaging in philadelphia. we are at 37 right now. 33 degrees your current temperature in allentown and chill any ac at 31 degrees. this trend for downward temperatures is going to continue as we head in the upcoming weekend and ever last 24 hours we are down nearly double digits, temperature wise in places like millville, wildwood and also, atlantic city and today high temperatures are going to be slightly below average a high of only 46 degrees in philadelphia decreasing cloud in the second half of the day. late daze clearing down the shore with a high of 48 degrees and chilly in the poconos a high temperature at 34 degrees, breezy conditions and partly sunny. as we head in the second half of our december, looks like overall, meisha we are going to have below average temperatures, so this trend for chilly weather, it will continue so keep that winter coat on stand by. >> we talk bit all year long, we know it is coming. then we're like no, all right,
