The first instrumental is "Can You Read My Mind" from the Superman 1978 movie. The one after Bonnie Raitt is "So Bad" from GIVE MY REGARDS TO BROAD STREET. Don't know either artist.

takes me back!
Boy does this take me back! Thank you so much for posting this! I was in my mid teens in the 90s and just started to drive so I used to be at the Kmart quite a bit in my area. Hearing this really brought back memories of walking through Kmart and hearing these announcements and music. Yep I guess I'm getting old :-)
