This trailer asks how did they ever make a movie of Vladimir Nabokov's erotic black comedy of sexual obsession. Well they didn't really. Kubrick replaced the book's intense eroticism with suggestive intimacy which was all the 1960 censors would allow, and other major changes were made to the plot. Nevertheless it's a worthwhile landmark film with good performances, even if it isn't "Lolita."
