This is a delightful sketch from what was apparently a 30 or 60 minute program. Rounded off, the duration is 12 minutes, 54 seconds. The label had no date. Perhaps several references to specific Rose Bowl games might provide clues. There is no network ID, so knowing that the first show for CBS was aired on January 2, 1949 does not help date it. At the beginning, Jack announces that Mary has a bad cold and that her sister Babe is filling that part. He then explains that Phil Harris is not present because of a scheduling conflict between the two program. The announcements are immediately followed by the sketch, which starts with Rochester singing a very funny version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.
I transferred this circa 1972 to 15 ips tape directly from one side of a 16 inch lacquer coated aluminum base disk recorded @ 33.33 rpm. Rounded off, the duration is 12 minutes, 53 seconds. I digitized and reprocessed this very funny performance circa 5 - 10 years ago. This is NOT an aircheck. The noise is meaningfully reduced but still audible. This is because I insist upon preventing undesirable digital side effects, which are caused by over-aggressive use of various tools, or poorly designed tools. Unfortunately this problem pervades many "audio restorations".
