After a decent stream, Monsters are now feature complete! So now it's all about polishing them and balancing them while working on Slimy Slugs. Also: The Freezer Beam now slows targets! Changelog 2022-03-20: - Monsters now attack vehicles passing by - TEMPORARY ANIMATION - Attacks have a short wind-up compared to attacking buildings - Only vehicles with upgraded engines manage to get past (might make them not target vehicles with upgraded engines) - Vehicles are attacked in succession if they stick around - Monsters now eat 3 resources at most before fleeing - Monsters can now escape through Solid Rock (still under consideration) - Monsters now attack buildings first rather than get a rock if the building is closer than the wall they want to get a rock from. - Monsters now correctly grab rocks close to the building, not themselves - Monsters now grab rocks closer to the target building (12 tiles) - Freezer Beam now slows down monsters down to 50% speed for 3 seconds, and the monster regains normal speed over 2 seconds. (TEMPORARY PROJECTILE MODEL) - Reduced Freezer beam damage to 2. It sounds low, but halving the speed of the target enables all other damage sources to deal more damage over the same period of time, preventing the monster from reaching its objective. Balanced so that 1 Freezer Beam + 1 Laser beam is a bit slower to kill than 2 Laser Beams, but over shorter distance. - Fixed creatures grabbing miners (and other actions) while carrying a projectile - Fixed miners spazzing out if entering eye view when grabbed (grabbed miners are now deselected properly) - Fixed severe issue where invisible walls were spawned in the middle of non-square maps and blocked unit movement. - Fixed creatures playing hurt sound when immune - Fixed missing tooltips for monster spawn buttons |
