Experimental prerelease of Manic Miners, an unofficial remake of the 1999 real-time strategy video game LEGO Rock Raiders.
No stream today but I did some work anyway this week. This build is more of an intermediate build, I'm currently focusing on fixing up the Slimy Slug's model, so this is just because I fixed some stuff, changed some other stuff. Today's build has a fair amount of sound improvements that should make the music-less experience much better, as well as a few bugfixes. Changelog 2022-03-27: - Rock Raiders reinforcing a wall now have landslide immunity for the duration of the action - Added toggle to turn off special crew voices (uses default voice clips then) - Added alert toggle for Slimy Slugs - Added alert "Your buildings are in danger!". Plays when a building is hit by a creature. Resets every 2 minutes per building. (Note: No alert with rocks. Will fix.) - Alerts now have a better cooldown system: Each alert has 5 seconds cooldown independently from each other. Voice alerts don't overlap still. - Tweaked ambience and drip sounds to behave a bit more like LRR (i.e. more often) - Added unused recovered sounds from the "wavdisk", such as the Support Station air flow sound and the "dripsb.wav". Let me know how you like them. - Replaced a lot of sounds with HD versions from the "wavdisk". - Updated In The Box Polka music with HD version - Added spider damage sound (PSX sound I believe) - Renamed "Game experience" to "Difficulty" - Removed "Classic" difficulty for now - Renamed "Easier" to "Relaxed and "Harder" to "Challenging" - "Relaxed" difficulty now doubles landslide and erosion times, with a minimum cooldown of 30 seconds - Increased monster scare radius slightly to be more like LRR (~2 tiles) - Monsters saved to the editor (starters/dummies) now aren't awoken by damage nor nearby units - Fixed stunlock when waking up monsters - Fixed Rock Raiders being scared for a second after killing a monster despite Action Stations being active - Fixed a bug where you could only rectangle select units if your Eye/Shoulder View camera was pointed towards those units - Fixed identity option for miners only affecting the first miner in the selection - Fixed air intake effect for Support Station - Fixed discharged crystals sometimes being treated as charged crystals - Fixed Rock Raiders/vehicle not removing themselves from player selection on death - Fixed Rock Raiders dropping resources through the floor when slipping on a spider (Let me know if you see this occur still) - Fixed issue with a Chief voice clip - Fixed Discord link - Clarified a loading screen tip - Updated some level descriptions to not have the warning that monsters aren't in yet |
